Osabohien said: “I repair phones at Agbor park and I bought a phone from Collins. On that fateful day, May 27th, he brought a phone to me for sale, we bargained and I paid him N17,000. By Monday or Tuesday the following week, I was tracked and arrested.” Narrating how the girl was killed, Collins Uligbe said: “Five of us entered the church. I was outside watching if anybody was coming, Neslon, Azubike and Lucky who ran away had monitored whether anybody was in the church. If I could boil and get riled up reading this graphic narrative, I wonder how Uwa's family would feel. Poor soul. It would be disappointing to see that these guys get jail terms. They all deserved to be killed in the most excruciating way possible. The Edo State government, should, as a matter of urgency, hire a saddist to develop a killing plan that will make them feel every air on their skin painful. |
izzou:It is not hard. They might even release him and put him right there in his community for the Almajiris to run him down. |
omenka:I revel much in theories and would like to believe the number work for official killings. Unofficially, I strongly believe the number is around 20-30 deaths annually, with only a few being reported. Below is the case of the invigilator that was killed for seizing a Quran and throwing it outside a window: https://www.csw.org.uk/2007/06/05/press/637/article.htm |
Fleshly:I totally agree, @the emboldened. I lived in the East for four years and saw the behaviour of these guys, first hand. They are mostly uneducated, highly sensitive, and gullible. They are feared in the East, more importantly in Abia, and Enugu because their politicians understand the cult power Kanu wields. Believe me, all it takes is for Peter Obi to speak against them and watch how they will go after him. It is true that they bolt faster than Usain himself when they are shot at but what happens when their target is left open and defenseless? |
Centcanada:Native shooter! ![]() |
omenka:The bastards will kill him. Recall this isn't the first case this year... The Nigerian legal system is very slow but super swift when the government wants to make unfavourable decisions. Ganduje is hitching to sing his death warrant already and he will do that. The backlash will heighten and then die across the world, except there is a huge sanction on Nigerian by the UK, the US and possibly China, which I am praying for. They think it is okay to kill because a prophet or a god is insulted. This should tell them about their religion but it won't. We have heard several cases of people arrested and killed for either tearing the Quran and even throwing it out the window during invigilation in the same North. The young man will be executed and life will move on. |
topcatking:Atiku doesn't need to be the president to speak on issues like this. Joe Bidden, with all his buts still have millions of Americans who expect him to react to some of Trump's statements, policies or claims. It doesn't mean Bidden is the president neither does it imply the people don't know who is in charge. It only means they look up to him and expects to start acting responsibly. Atiku is a known critic of whatever Buhari's regime does, so it is only normal for people to ask him to speak up. Atiku is coming back in 2023, most likely under the PDP, if he needs votes, he must appeal to both sides and do a good job while at it. |
AlabiJ:Ohaneze kept mum, an Peter Obi remain to talk? Lol! Kanu will just jejely announce in his next broadcast that the enemy of the Igbo people is Peter Obi and the next thing is IPOB following the poor man like flies to beat him up like they did Ike Ekweremadu ![]() |
TheChameleon:It was even during GEJ's time when we were in the world and all out for Buhari. The piece made frontpage on here, not sure I still remember the exact content. |
AlabiJ:I personally don't trust Peter Obi. He is skilled in the art of telling lies and he does so with a straight face. His type of person can pass as a motivational speaker and might even succeed in convincing you that he built his poultry from scratch with a feather and not chicks. I will gladly choose Kingsley Moghalu over Peter Obi, any time, any day. |
TheChameleon:Thanks. I don't use other handles. The last time I did a controversial piece, I got warned by the DSS. At best, we will go missing for writing the truth. It won't change the narrative in the end. |
AlabiJ:LMAO ![]() Truth is, Peter Obi is a light weight in the East and delving into Enugu matters might destroy him. Plus, taking sides could put his political ambition in jeopardy. It could prevent him from defecting tomorrow, if need be and speaking against the IPOB will demarket him. This should tell you no politician is worth dying for. They are all after what they can get and make for themselves and not for the people they intend to lead. |
Atiku is torn between the devil and the deep blue sea. The devil here is the North... Speaking against the injustice will demarket him greatly and might turn the people against him for insulting their prophet while on the other hand is the deep blue sea, the Southern part of Nigeria who expects him to stick to his idea of politics of inclusion, and nationalism as he paints himself to be. Not speaking up would mean he is a religious fanatic and supports the move - to have the young man condemned to death. In reality, Atiku is all out for himself as with others who seek the exalted position. Buhari is bigoted and so is El Rufai and Ganduje and these three don't hide it. I would even understand if Atiku's social media handles do not post any contents this period but sending out a tribute to Chadwick Boseman and congratulating Arsenal, all within the period of the news filtering is insensitive, cruel and paints Atiku as one who is out for what he stands to get. One can't be everywhere at the same time and one can't be hot or cold. Sitting on the fence in the face of a sensitive issue shows what is in storeif he gets there; the same goes for the others as well. We really need to look inward and come to terms with the fact that no politician is worth bleeding for. To them, it's all about what they stand to gain. |

Serial presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar, has been trending on Twitter for choosing to keep quiet concerning the young man who was accused of committing blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed in a song he circulated via WhatsApp in March 2020. According to Nigerian Tweeps, the serial presidential aspirant who is considered vocal and known to air his concerns on policies and issues plaguing the nation has been quiet ever since the news broke that Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, the young man fingered for blasphemy, has been denied access to lawyers even as the 30-day deadline given to him to appeal the judgment lapses on September 9. Atiku who took to Twitter to celebrate Arsenal's win against Liverpool has since been dragged for being insensitive, a religious fanatic like and political. The likes of Peter Obi and other presidential aspirants are currently being dragged alongside.

Arsenal will win this. |
RunonBlast:It is not for me to do due diligence as I wasn't the one who wanted to transact with the criminal. He shared a screenshot and I believe he wanted reactions from that. A notorious criminal even came off as more believable than him going by the screenshot. |
Frankicent:Well, Dom.inique actually pointed out that the person in question is a notorious scammer. Let's assume for a minute he was a legitimate individual. He proposed escrow which you clearly rejected BUT WANTED HIM TO SEND FIRST TO SOMEONE HE DOESN'T KNOW OR SEE (ACCORDING TO YOU). It wasn't like you busted him. You couldn't come to a conclusion with him. I will echo Domini.que's line of thought concerning you. Anyone who wants to do business with you should get an escrow and if you refuse, they should walk away. The money you sent is your cup of tea and stop sounding hard to be believable. This is a trait known to scammers. Dominique, I believe this person violated rule 2. |
loopman:This singular, local mindset is dangerous. |
ChiefOloye:Well, I believe the mindset is that 'they've been doing it since, they must give us or beg us to do it in 2023'. Nnia Nwodo and a whole lot of naive young Igbos will understand the emboldened by 2023 and going forward. |
The problem of Nigeria is not about the number one citizen but the vultures around him in most cases. Jonathan was good, albeit slow and the presidency was hijacked by women closest to him. Buhari might have had good intentions (other than Sharia'ah propagation which he has never hidden) concerning Nigeria and one could tell prior elections that he was passionate about the cause but situations nosedived under him and the vultures around him hijacked his government. Of course he is old and comes off as unbothered at this stage because it looks like the cabal make the decisions (according to the First Lady). This is not in any way denying the fact that Buhari is an error though. Fashola was outstanding in his two-terms in office as governor of Lagos State, which saw him manage three ministries but he came off as incompetent after failing to transform the three sectors (power, works and housing). Sometimes, politicians make genuine promises but later find out fulfilling them would be difficult if not impossible. It is always easy on the outside until one gets involved and this mostly applies. Personal achievements as highlighted by Nnia Nwodo do not necessarily translate into excellent governance, particularly in a multi-faceted country like Nigeria with over 250 ethnic groups, nearly 380 tribes with over 500 spoken languages. Not forgetting the bane of the HoR and Senate. Buhari assumed presidents make the decisions alone, like the military days but later realized it was not so. However, Nnia Nwodo should focus on strategizing on how Nigerians can embrace the idea of an Igbo politician first before dreaming of the only ethnic group capable of transforming Nigeria. |
The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, on Friday, predicted that Nigeria would witness a turnaround in its fortunes if a president of Igbo extraction emerges in 2023.https://punchng.com/2023-igbo-presidentll-transform-nigeria-says-nwodo/ Lalasticlala

Frankicent:If you ask me, I'd say you are the suspect going by the screenshot. He requested you send first OR USE AN ESCROW. You weren't interested in using the service of an escrow and backed down straight away, and then you claimed his number had been saved by someone else as "criminal" on Truecaller? You weren't willing to send first and he wasn't willing to go either BUT ASKED THAT YOU USE AN ESCROW. Was he wrong to have requested for one Does that qualify him as a criminal or a scammer? Not implying you are a scammer (yet) but your technique was what someone tried using one me some days ago. He claimed to have PayPal funds for sale but refused to use an escrow. His excuse was that he had also sold to people before and even said his account was old. Although I called off the deal but it wasn't until Dom.inique called my attention to the handle on another thread as a serial scammer that I realised I had been saved. cc Dominique |
kukusdot:He had to starve for a movie role. Amazing actor, Boseman was. 21 Bridges, I think his most recent is a favourite. God rest his soul. |
SLAP44:Go by air, preferably Benin Airways. |
SLAP44:You aren't communicating. However, let me clear you on why an Igbo president is a pipe dream, at least for now. 1. The PDP is interested in returning to power and will most likely hand over its ticket to a Northerner because they desperately need to win. An Igbo president under the PDP is unrealistic as there is no Igbo politician with a national appeal. Heck, not even one that can win an election outside his state, even in the South East. 2. The APC will most likely retain the seat and understands that the best way to do it is to NOT hand its presidential ticket to someone of the Igbo extraction. Why? Because the North will aggressively reject the idea and the APC will lose the North. Plus, the North is still interested, leaving the battle to the North and South West. 3. Voting Strength: The South East is the least influential region, politically, as far as Nigeria is concerned, which is why the PDP had taken the region for a ride for over 16 years. Both parties know they only need a fraction of the South East vote and then look forward to appealing to the SW for the decider. Knowing the South East is weak vote-wise, it would be foolhardy to entrust the ticket to a region with low voting power. 4. National Appeal: While Tinubu has mastered the art of packaging and winning, one thing 'his' politicians all have in common is a sound profile and a decent amount of popularity outside their region. None of your politicians have that. 5. The North: I hate to say this, but the North will never vote an Igbo candidate, no thanks to history. The level of distrust is so huge that any party that announces an Igbo presidential candidate, as far as the North is concerned has set itself up for failure. While the South East warms up to the North, the North look toward the South West for periodic relationships, which is why they are unbothered so long they are in agreement with the Yorubas. 6. Absence of power politicians: You all hate the feeling of a Tinubu in the South East but it is somewhat necessary. The absence of one is why there is no unification in the South East. Rochas is to Imo as Gburugburu is to Enugu. Worse is the fact that these guys don't even wield any power even at home. The North will always rely on the West because of the presence of its unifiers, namely Obasanjo and more importantly BAT. They need his power, his influence and his alliance to succeed in the West and he has transcended to the North with the influence. 7. Burnt Bridges: Not sure I should say anything about this... You already know. So, my good friend, there is no surprise whatsoever in 2023. The election will be decided the day either party hands the ticket to the South East. PS: APGA would have had a shot at producing an Igbo president but it is primarily an Anambra party, not even respected outside Anambra. |
SLAP44:LMAO ![]() Don't be naive. Even if you were (we know you are), you won't get it. The PDP whom the South East has served dutifully for over 16 years won't even hand a ticket to you, even if it means testing the waters. The party you so much despise won't be reckless to hand their ticket to you. The biggest Igbo politician under the APC (Ngige), having tasted ministerial power equated his political power with Tinubu's, the one man the North fears and dread. Trust me, the two major parties won't hand a ticket to the South East and we know this. So, whether or not you are interested is useless. Dr. Olukayode is paid to 'do the Lord's work' here and publicity is the job he got contracted to do. There is no urgency anywhere because this 'urgency' is paid for by your very own politicians. |
SLAP44:Don't be fooled. Dr. Olukayode's phantom organization is sponsored by one or two nominees on the list. It makes a bit of sense to see a Yoruba man agitate Igbo presidency but that's all there is to it. Splinter cell pressure groups like terror cells as this have no impact or weight. In the end, Dr. Olukayode will be paid for his time and he will move on. |
It is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that the group is sponsored by one of the nominees. But politics isn't played this way and power won't be dropped on anyone's laps come 2023. “Therefore, in 2023, passionate consideration should be accorded the South-East as the only zone in the Southern region that has yet to produce a president,’’ Oshiariyo addedThis is the exact same mindset of Ohaneze (youth and adult branch), politicians of the South East and a sizeable amount of the South East people but it is delusional to believe that an automatic pass be granted a particular area because they haven't tried before. The funniest part of it all is that all of the nominees are featherweight and won't even win elections in their state hands down if they run under the APC. Moghalu looks good to me but he is not sellable even in his own state and region. The South East is playing the 2023 politics the wrong way. No strategy, no power candidate and none of them is influential to pull a miracle outside of the South East. And then there is the issue of trust the North has towards... ![]() |
