what is the purpose of this list if I may ask. I know you will answer "tradition".
Is it convenient?, is it affordable?
Your answer "tradition".
With this mentality and attitude, the country is not going to move forward. We encourage extortion and laziness. It's very convenient to brandish the sword of "tradition" when we want to extort from others. Don't you think this practice encourages corruption?
A lot of folks get done with weddings to go drink garri because of "culture or Tradition" what exactly is culture or tradition in the context of what we practice in Nigeria ?. what purpose does it serve?.
Has it made our country better? We need to start to think, revise and update our knwledge. Smh

Honour for what exactly, for losing an election or for being incompetent and clueless. I blame OBJ for cursing Nigeria with a GEJ. I am neither a fan of GMB, he was part of a past that ruined the country.

Can someone tell Sahara Reporters to give us phone numbers of the ministers . We need to call them too, unless they want us to believe they are working very well. Until we begin to measure the sins of our leaders with the same spoon, we will continue to revolve around same circles.

Its very shameless what journalism has become in this dispensation. SR have just confirmed the assertions that they are just a tool for those not too favourable to the Executive's wishes. They never sent us the Petroleum Ministers number when there were ( and still is) endless queues. We didn't see Fashola's number when there was total blackout in the country. And the list goes on.

GEJ made Nigeria the country with the best economy in Africa.

You can insult him all you want but the fact remains that he was a selfless leader who gave up power so willingly to avoid blood shedding of the masses.

Good morning.

Please, stop insulting the collective intelligence of over 160million Nigerians. GEJ is not a leadership material. he wasnt suited to be a governor self. I am very sure GEJ himself would agree with me. Over 95% of Nigerians governor's, senators dont know a thing about leadership. you see, they get away with it because there are lots of dumbo in Nigerians like you. No offense.
GEJ shouldn't have gone beyond a local government chairman in Otuoke. Nigeria as a Country deserves a better leader than GEJ or Buhari.

Politics / Re: No Quick Fix For Nigeria’s Problems, Buhari Says by santafe(m): 3:01am On Apr 14, 2016
I personally think people should stop blaming Jonathan. Jonathan was foisted on us by obj. I am sure GEJ never planned on being president.
The major damage to this country after military rule was done under OBJs regime.
He had the chance to change Nigeria. He had the chance to establish a solid electoral process that would produce a sound presidential candidate. OBJ and pdp had a great chance to change Nigeria. GEJ was just a puppet.
Buhari is not the best either. He was part of the military that destroyed the country. He does not have what it takes for that seat.
We also make the mistake of not holding our governor's accountable.
I think our Governor's and legislature's have more power to change Nigeria than the president.

Business / Re: Power, FX, Fuel Shortages Cripple Nigeria As Buharimonics Continues To Fumble by santafe(m): 3:13pm On Apr 07, 2016
Quakertellicus1:
From the article....it is obvious that they want us to devalue....so that forex can flow.

Buharinomics is a bad choice. The problem is...the alternatives are far worse. If we devalue now...we would end up with runaway inflation, severely depreciated naira and suddenly we would be taking high amount of loans to balance the books.

What needs to be done next is simple. We must, as I have said here time after time...become a manufacturing power. I want to see this APC government spend more on generation, and work with the DISCOS and GENCOS to repair our outdated transmission system. I want to see more spending on technical education.I want to see an end to fuel subsidy....because we are just wasting money that could be used for better things, and we do not even have the money to subsidize fuel anyways. We should improve agriculture....by encouraging large scale farming. We should encourage our local industries to stop importing raw materials if they can be sourced in Nigeria. And we must fight corruption....no compromise.

That is what APC must do to leave a glorious legacy.

Modified: Re loans....if we have to take loans...why not in the form of infrastructure?

Eg...Germany gives us a ''loan''to build a power station that runs on refuse...by building the power plant and providing training and logistics.

If you are desperate to travel abroad, get a degree and if possible get an Msc and get a job. That's what I did and believe me, it's so easy. Don't be lazing around, blaming government for your life and wasting your life thinking of abroad all the time. You don't pick money from the ground here, you work smart for it.

Nothing is wrong with the mentality of traveling abroad but everything is wrong with taking senseless risk.

Lol. Nigerian schools that a professor uses 1974 textbook. That cannot provide engineers to construct common highways for us and we need to alway have foreigners from China to do it for us. You need to school abroad to discover that our schools are part of the reason why thy country is centuries behind.

How is a 17 billion Golf Resort going to benefit ordinary Anambra people?

What a displaced priority by a clueless state governor! No stable electricity, no pipe-borne water, no good quality roads, no security, etc and yet a Golf Resort is so important to this id*iot than the pressing needs of the people!

Nigerians are too dumb to allow incompetent id*iots to rule them!

This is great news for me. I have an account with IBTC Pension Since 2002 which I have contributed for 10 years before I left Nigeria 3 years ago. I think I should get more than 25% because I have immigrated and wont be coming back to Nigeria to work in a long time. Anyway I would contact IBTC pension tomorrow.
