Thanks for your response.

The question is Since I want to use my place of business as my current place of employment, do I fill the space as been self employed or as been an employee (Director). This is to circumvent all the documents that I can't get for been self employed. Do you understand now?

Well, I guess you can apply as an employee then. However, when CIC decides to verify (which is very rare but still possible) and you are the one verifying yourself, I hope you can see how that might be a problem.

Dear All,

Fantastic work done here o. Just a few questions;

1. I am the primary applicant, and we are already in the pool with CRS 458. Now, I chose to use my business as my current workplace, because I dont want to have to ask my current employer to provide a reference letter. Though I have 7 years work experience in my first place of work and 4 years under my business. Now, the question is do I list it as Self employed (though i dont want to do this cos i dont have any proof of salary payments and other documents) or as a director of this company since its a limited company and I am listed as a director on the registration documents?

2. What is the minimum number of years of work experience required for a dependant spouse, and is it mandatory for the spouse to provide employer reference letters too?

3. Does a Canada visit refusal affect the application?

Thanks

1. Well, I don't your question here. On the one hand, you don't want to use your self-employed because you don't have documents while on the other hand you don't want to use your current employer because you don't want to ask for reference. I hope you also see the paradox here.

2. If those experiences are not in Canada then it doesn't matter if it's zero or hundred years experience, you won't get any point for it.

3. Nope. It doesn't.

He shouldn't have ban my first account. I will stop if he unlock my first account. FYI it takes me 52secs to open another account

You can't continue flouting the rules and then turn around to complain he's banning you. It's unfair to justwise.

You advocated to have a PNP thread created and he obliged. Now you are complaining it's boring and subsequently violating the very first rule of Nairaland.

What exactly do you want?

I hope your Canadian PR application works out but you need to know the reason everyone is running to Canada is because it's a society where people follow rules and you need to start doing the same.

Good luck.

Thank you for the feedback. From your response above, are you saying he should get all the liver function tests and other parameters handy and provide them to the physician during the medical? Or should he go for the medicals first and allow the physician to instruct him on the additional tests?

Waiting for your feedback.

Thank you.

He should go for the medicals first. The panel physician will instruct him if additional tests are required. He should, however, disclose any previous surgeries and medications to the physician.

Please help my friend.

He was diagnosed of Hepatitis B in 2014, liver function tests, viral load and scan were done and the specialist (doctor) confirmed everything was okay and he can’t transfer it to others. This is 2017 and he is awaiting ITA, tried to do another set of tests to confirm the parameters are okay, but the specialist requested for a new referral letter before they can attend to him.

The question is, should he wait till the medical period in order to get a referral letter or should he meet a doctor (from HMO) to get a new letter?

Unlike what obtained for EE during its early phase (2015-Late 2016), you don't get a medical referral letter anymore and it's now mostly done with upfront medicals. Thus, you should check the cic approved panel physician for your country of residence and go there for the medicals. Don't wait for a medical form from cic, you probably won't get one.

Medicals have been passed. There was one notification after medicals and now this one.

Well, what you've been posting are your document review. We can't tell you what stage you are based on that. You have to look further down and see what your background check says.

What stage is this?

That's document review. What does your background check says. If not applicable, then you're provably in NA1 or NA2.

That would depend on what you background check says.

Update: See below where it says "or an equal amount in part time".......maybe that part time can count, but have no idea what that line means. Or maybe that 2 years part time will be calculated as a year? Then you can claim 2 years? Research more on this yourself though

Yeah, you are correct. For instance, if your total part time per week is 50 hours it will only count as a 25 hours. Ditto for annually prorated working hour.

Hi all,Got my ITA last week.
I will like to make some clarification from gurus in the house
1.Do I need to accept the invitation now even if my documents will be ready next week?
2.My spouse is the PA.I am transferring the fund to her account which she intends to put in a fixed deposit account subsequently. Is this arrangement okay or we should leave the fund in her account without fixing?
3.

1. If you are sure your documents will be ready next week, then go ahead and accept the invitation. The downside is that the 90 days countdown starts the moment you accept the invitation. I guess that's why Ehrnie said no.

2. If your spouse is accompanying you, you don't have to transfer the money. As long as the money is in either the PA or accompanying person's name, no big deal.

3. I have no idea about PCC in Abuja.

@everyone

While I understand that it was all good fun goofing around with cochtrane and GlisteringStar, when it has reached the point of people getting offended then perhaps it's time to tone it all down. A joke is only funny when no one is getting hurt/offended by it.

@cochtrane & GlitteringStar, my apologies if any of my post(s) has/have offended you guys in any way. I was merely goofing around.

Best of luck to everyone.

Hi guys!

I finally got ITA. grin

I was wondering, when filling my application; travel history specifically: I travelled to Ghana by road 4 years ago with my old passport, passed through Benin and Togo boarders to get there and of course my passport was stamped anyhow.

Will I need to include Togo and Benin in countries I have been to? Even though all these stamps are on my old passport and Ghana was the destination?

Do i need to include scanned pages of stamps and travel history on my old passport?

Thanks

Yes. You need to. Not to confuse you, you have to enter those details in your travel history but you don't have to scan you old passport. They only require current "valid" passport.

Hello Santino,
Please can i send you a pm? I have checked it over and over again. The dates seen to be in sync.

Sorry man, the PM thing doesn't work for me.

Well, you're gonna have to check again. Also, you have to check the other parts of your forms. For instance, you can't say you are unemployed Between May to July in personal history whereas other parts of the form e.g education or work history says you were in school/working until the end of May. Just go over all parts of the form (not just personal activities) and ensure there are no discrepancies.

Hello All,
I've been a silent reader for a while now. Please can someone help me out. I'm stuck with filling out my application post ITA. I'm not able to move beyond entering my travel history details. The error message I have is below:

Application/profile details
The form could not be submitted because errors were found.

Validation error: You have not completed the mandatory fields or you have not completed them correctly. Please make corrections where indicated.

Error Description: Problematic field:Personal activities: You must provide at least 10 continuous years of history, or all time since this person's 18th birthday, to the present.

The bolded is the koko of the matter. Under personal activities, your record must be continous (i.e. you can't have a day gap). For instance, you finished your BSc in May and deployed for NYSC in October, you have to fill in May-October and put unemployed in the activity field.

Writing is in no way my weakness. Should I ask for a remark of my writing and speaking or book another test?

If you are confident of your writing ability, I'd suggest you go for remark. You're only 0.5 off and writing is subjective anyways unlike listening and reading where if you are wrong, you are wrong.

If you are not in a hurry to enter the pool and you are not in the mood to help BC's ministry. Go for remark. I strongly advise it.

In Nigeria, Going to SA for 5days but going at the end of the month by God's Grace.

Then you can play your cards smartly. Submit the ADR a couple of days to your 5-days travel (assuming you still have time to submit the ADR). If you get PPR the following day, you can submit your passport immediately you return from your trip. The good thing is you are only going away for five days.

Hello Giants in the house,

Please what is the significance of the question whether or not "your spouse will accompany you to Canada" when using the CRS tool?

From where I sit, it's a simple question with no "significance" (whatever that even means).

In Pidgin: Your wife/husband go follow you come obodo Canada?

Hello guys,

Please I do want to know if there is a general format for the reference letter or is it specifically worded for each applicant? This is so that one can get it at hand before the stage that one needs it.

Thank you guys.

Message like this scares the hell out of me. Please guys this thread is only a secondary source of information. As Canadianfly already said in an earlier post, endeavour to read the cic website (the official channel) thoroughly and ask about what you don't understand here so people can help out. Relying on this thread as the official source of your information is not the way to go.

Good luck to all.
