Well. I had a complete opposite experience as you. I have sold domains I derived from these so called Copy-and -paste method. About 5 to 6 domains. As a matter of fact, my first three domain sales was gotten using this method of copying what someone else sold. We've also seen similar cases of this on this thread. It may not work for you and work for someone else.

Picking up domains because someone sold one will most likely not bring much success... and it will limit your domain picking strategy in the long run. Also, what you just displayed here is why a lot of people stopped reporting sales because nobody likes the idea of someone contacting their buyer just because they chose to share what is sold.

I agree with your first sentence. Since I started domaining I've not sold any of the names I picked as a result of someone else's success story.

These were mostly names I picked in my newbie year. None was sold. It doesn't matter the niche or what was sold. Web3 or, Nft o, anything as long as it's just an adjusted copy-and-paste. Lol.

None even got an offer so I learned about a year ago to refrain. I don't know if it is a curse lolol. To newbies, this doesn't work but I'm sure many will not listen.

Explain to him again and end by telling him that a $100 confirmation mail is going to come from the company. If he ever changes his mind he can accept and proceed. If not, he can simply ignore it. Then go ahead and import it.

You can import it as a lead and not as a transaction giving room for further negotiation. Some persons change the nameservers to Epik and sell at $70. Though, for me, I'm not willing to go less than 100.

These are your options.

1. Try to convince and tell him the minimum accepted amount in the marketplace is 100. Explain to him that the market can not sell below that price. And I believe if someone is willing to pay $70, there is a higher probability that reason can make them add an extra 30.

2. Ask him if he's comfortable with Epik and finish it off there if he disagrees with the first option.

But if I were in your shoes I will only be desperate to push him to Epik if the domain is about to expire and I have no intentions of renewal or if it's a poorly thought name. Aside that, I will focus on him paying the minimum on Dan.

I know dynadot doesn't have a limit unless the maximum deleted domains have reached a fixed percentage. But their $3 domain fee na die.

Can't remember. That was in 2020 or early 2021. I must have deleted about 10 in one month. They do give a refund that's almost the same amount you paid to get the fees.

Mistakes in spelling. E.g registering a name with the inclusion of centre instead of center considering the fact that your end users do not follow British English. Or you found out there are no endusers or you found out it's just plain shit.

This is caused by people who backordered a name on sav and was unable to pay so they delete the name hence why the name show back on expired domains.
This is in sav case I don't know about other ones.

You can also delete a name you registered. I remember deleting so much on Namesilo that I exhausted my quota.

Lol. Maybe you are sending to groups that make it difficult for you to reach them without setting up an SPF or DMARC records. I do edit my mails after scrapping and remove mails that are pointless. Sometimes I even visit the sites by looking at their mail addresses just to be sure they fall into the city and service I scrapped for.
