@George & Spaceman Thanks for the attention, a cent more earned. ![]() |
@spaceman Thanks, that should be a clear error if the calculation is referring to the time energy is distributed to the load from the battery. The danger with this error is that your battery will discharge quicker than the estimated error time of 14hrs. Don't play around with batteries they are dangerous - the danger here is particularly about terminal / polarity handling short circuiting or pairing of batteries. there is no guess work here only go by the rules. |
@cescyfrank check _http://www.lyngsat.com/astra4a.html for your answer |

@mad dollar where are you based in GH? |

one cause of the 4900/4910 freezing and rebooting is removing and fixing the coax cable when it has not been switched or powered off completely. i have had this problem of freeze and booting several times, the cause of mine i spotted is what i have told you, the solution is simply removing all channels, factory reset, and reloading the patch or firmware / sw through rs232 and loader. i have had no problem since. good luck |
@swordswifter check this link for more info on star gold fuji lnb _http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-475178.32.html I have personally not used the said lnb. why don't you go for a solid pan if fringe reception is what you want to do? think about it. |
@hkth check the satellite shop at A&C shopping mall, east legon or the other shop at north kaneshie. some few meters away from st. theresa's school. the fuji silver prime focus is GHC 50, the other type that looks like strong's lnb fr offset 90cm and 65cm is less than GHC 20, the twin lnb is arruond for the same type GHC 35. |
Couldn't have said less, HAPPY NAIJA @ 50. God bless Nigeria, God bless Africa. |
@all I wish to remind us about this thread, started not long. Let's use it to announce Temporary FTA Channels rather than posting them on the main thread. or creating duplicates. Peace |
@Lastpage for your sake I am known as first page. u see, the deities of FTA do not condone the idea of upgrading dx, especially, in circumstances like yours. however, it is sometimes important to do it, where and when necessary. how do you know ur S/W version has been increased to 1.0.5 If that is the case, then i am afraid you haven't upgraded your dx. judging from the point taht u r putting the HE -ACC capable S/Wwhy well, most 4669x dx are loaded (is it by default ) with 1.0.5 S/W version. if the dx is really upgraded through what u did, you should be seeing "1.10"How To Do It just press menu on your remote scroll down to system information press ok. you will now see all the information related to your system, eg. model, S/W version H/W version etc. please verify again. most 4669x are like that, when initially scanned, one can get to watch this multi-tv package then for some reason unknown to me, it ceases to satisfy it's purpose. the solution? input the frequency manually. how? press menu on your remote on installation press o.k and enter 0000 when asked to enter PIN. select manual scan on satellite, select using the left and right arrow key on you remote control, the satellite used for multi tv. i believe yours wasn't changed by ur installer, so, it will still be Astra 2ABCD 28.2E next, select frequency. use the left and right arrow key on ur remote control to select the multi-tv frequency (12551 or 12552) if u want to be sure of the value, first check it from the main screen by selecting any of the multi tv channels and press the info button on ur remote twice and take note of the frequency. not PID in the manual scan menu (by now u already know how to get here), delete that noted multi tv frequency on ur receiver by pressing the yellow button on the remote control and confirming yes observe those colored buttons beneath the signal bar and learn what each of them does (eg yellow button deletes) next, add the multi tv frequency manually (this is the frequency 12551) go to the symbol rate and enter 19531 move to polarization and select V by using the left and right buttons on your remote control. if u get "tp already exits message" when trying to change the polarization, just press the red button on the remote control and select from the pop up option. now press ok to scan I hope it helps! rem: don't got nuts 'cos i will be cracking u ![]() |
@ twinstaiye I don’t know if anybody else is faced with the same problem or there is a problem with my setup - I can’t see Badaru’s post. This is the second time I have noticed this. My reference is made to his post under the High Definition Receivers thread (page 3), check the Last Post column, Today at 12:44:05 PM. The post is no where to be found. Please act accordingly. |
the Africa beam @10E is beamed at Southern Africa area / environment, i think a much bigger dish size will do. |
@spaceman well said, well observed ooo. |
@versace my message was just a motivation seen? |
@versace400 well said. but who said u r not in the position to help anybody including ur self. no one is a "guru" here as u claim. I personally have noticed some classes of people here - those who commit or sacrifice their time, energy, money and even some may have sacrificed time for family, where possible, those whose desire to be like the afore-mentioned but may be financially restrained so can't soar higher and those who always have the desire to ask, take and enjoy. but note, the enthusiast or hobbyist is not one who just enjoy what they get (like just desiring to have and watch channels) but how what they get come to being ,understanding it and knowing how to get them etc, in no time u see those people growing teeth to chew bones and until they can chew hard bones. eg. ilish the zambian always pouring info, george_d, enitan, fofo, butoneday, microgiant, badaru, adewest, obnelly, muhsin, captainus. plenty, plenty peeps. that is not to say they do not ask, but read back old posts and u will understand what i mean. notwithstanding, i will beg u to open this link https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-475178.672.html and ur answer can be found in post number 679. dele4u |
@William85 Check! the guy is asking a question. refer to some pages back you will find the TP |
@spaceman ok registered. wishing u good luck. i want know if there is any motor in town other than the SG9120, that has elevation range (25-85) and will work for latitude as low as 5 deg? |
@spaceman have you been able to succeed with the settings of motor other than the one in your last post? @all has anyone been able to find a motor that can do low latitude (5deg N) in Nigeria? pls. let me know |
@2legit2qt FTA be that oooo! @alancruise signalbit at yahoo dot com, i know u understand that. |
@2legit2qt this 225p is an update from crosat. I do this periodically, when necessary. @t'kenny from strong's official website, check the technical specs for 4910 and 4900 you will find out that HE-AAC compliance is listed for 49100. It is not listed under 4900. However, I'm not convinced that 4900 will not do AAC. update the S/W, go to Menu, Channels, Add Channels, choose the sat & freq. for switch, input the APID, VPID and PPID, select the video format for switch then, go to Audio and check the various audio formats. you can repeat this for other audio formats. u know, i could not get audio from Smart-Tv when i laid hands on 4910. at that time, they were transmitting audio in HE-AAC, after updating with 224p i went through the above procedure , entered APID, PPID,VPID tried all the various audio formats and was lucky with MPEG4. Do u see the point, when i scanned for the channels and pressed audio the format was HE-ACC and I was not getting sound, but when i went through the manual procedure i got sound with MPEG4. now i am getting sound without having to go through all the above, the audio comes with the default format which is aac. i foresee a time when providers will adapt to acc format for their audio x'missions, so all prospective dxer buyers should take note. |
gadotor: ![]() ![]() u know my number call me |
I have infinity Switch sound, loud and clear on 4910. S/W 225p @twinskenny u didn't list the software version on your srt HD dxr |
@Zenus Badaru said 2.6m |
to the brother who has 4900HD but not getting audio for switch, i suggest you go to _crosat.us to get the latest software. if you have difficulties, try manually, input apid,vpid,ppid of the said channel in add channels, under channel in the main menu. select audio format of ur choice (aac,HE-aac,mpeg4,dolby digital aac3 etc) under audio. it's the same method i used to bring out the audio for SmartTv when they started their test transmission. the audio was aac but without sound until i decided to add channels manually with mpeg4 audio format. @Toba i wish you good luck mate/bro in ur search |
it's unfortunate the post I made this afternoon has disappeared. Anyway, Switch on my 4910HD has audio - S/W version is 225p. I wasn't successful with 109p for 69x. |

what is it exactly, about 4910 hd you want to know?
well, most 4669x dx are loaded (is it by default
