CrimeRe: Woman Arrested For Burning Half Sister With Hot Iron (Graphic Pic) by Satioshi: 9:32pm On Jan 03, 2017
Now all those vocal apostles of domestic violence would go suddenly quiet. 90% of domestic violence in Nigeria are perpetrated by women on domestic helps. If it were a man that did this to his wife, then Linda Ikeji and all the other chauvinistic blogs would have blown it out of proportion.

MrMcJay:
Abba Kyari wasn't promoted by merit, right?

Your problem is not just that you're foolish, it is the fact that you're enthusiastic in your foolishness.
As much as I hate to, I may want to agree with you on this. Anyone coming here to spew religious/tribal balderdash should check this guys track record before delving into their rhetoric.
TravelRe: Photos: Another Bus Tumbles Into Same Gutter At Dopemu Bus Stop Lagos by Satioshi: 12:35pm On Dec 15, 2016
That drain is too wide and close to that ever busy road to be left open. My staff bus plies that route and the commercial bus drivers in their haste sometimes drive too close to the drain hence a little brush from another vehicle and you find yourself in it. Something has to be done to remedy the situation.

It's actually 3 and above but I know they mentioned 15. Don't really know how to explain so won't argue further but you seem very enlightened.

Also @ Op, FIRS body is always hot when they hear such things as this so kindly visit one of their offices.
PENCOM is too bureaucratic.
Yes you are correct baba. It is actually compulsory for employers with 3 employees and above but optional for those with less.

Adesiji77:
I will address question 1: Your employment letter does not have to mention "pension".

According to the Pension Reform Act 2014, in addition to all employees in the public sector, private organizations with employees numbering 15 and above are expected to be part of the contributory pension scheme. Fortunately, you have payslips that indicate that pension deductions are being made from your monthly income.

Since you are still working with the organization, I suggest that you approach the matter with discretion and not "fight" them for now unless you have gotten another job. After all, you have documentary proof that deductions are being made from your income. That should suffice for now. You live to fight another day...

cc: Cecegal
I completely agree. An employer with 3 or more employees by regulation is compelled to participate in the Contributory Pension Scheme. The deduction is 8% from the employee and 10% from the employer of at least the basic salary, transport and housing allowances plus other emoluments if any. Of course either party could decide to do more.

Your letter doesn't need to state that Pension would be paid. It is incumbent upon employers to pay it under the PRA 2014. As it concerns your unremitted deductions, you may refer to my earlier response on the subject but I advise you thread carefully seeing as you are still in employment. You may want to do it anonymously or wait until you leave.

Hope this helps.

I have some money in my RSA account. Do you know when I'll be eligible to access the money and how to go about it?
If you are still below 50 and have exited your job, you have to wait for four months to be able to access 25% of your total balance. You would require an exit letter( depending on the mode of exit, an acceptance of resignation or termination letter), a birth certificate or age declaration, valid means of ID, 1 passport photo and the details of your bank account.

If however you are 50 and above, you apply immediately after retirement and get the total value if your balance is 550, 000 or less, it is called Enbloc.Where it is more than that, you apply for Programmes withdrawal. A lump sum of between 25%-50% is paid based on a caluculation using factors like age, sex (hypothetical life expectancy of 82 for males and 84 for females) and the last salary before retirement. The rest is paid monthly. You can also opt for Annuity which is offered by life Insurers.

How is it trashhuh You should have mentioned one or two reasons why you think so. And the last time I checked, this is a forum to share and exercise your freedom of speech.
You were not dragged into the thread with a rope on your neck,so move... tongue
There are many stupid thread getting likes from folks like you,but this is an informative, though subjective thread, you don't have to call it trash. It is disrespectful and arrogant. Its an insult, just point out his mistake,he didn't claim to know it all,as you are pretending to be sad angry
Don't mind the mumu. Proffer a superior argument and we shall compare. The points made by the writer can't ring truer.

PENCOM is the agency to report to. You and your colleagues should rally and report to them. They do compliance audits to ensure that there are no under deductions and under remittances
Very correct. The PFAs do not have the powers to compel defaulting employers to pay.The Commission has a compliance department that compels them to pay not only the deducted contributions but also a penalty of 2% of the deducted sum to the RSA(Retirement savings account) holder for every 14 days it is withheld after deduction and 1% of the same amount to the Commission. So you and your colleagues should write a letter to the Commission and send it via email on info@Pencom.gov.ng or submit it at the South West regional office at 88A Oduduwa Crescent, Ikeja Lagos or call 08055998808. Remember to attach your RSA statements and appointment and exit letters as proof of the under-remittance.

Plealse stop feeding us fake pictures to accompany your stories. If the picture isn't correct, then the authenticity of your story can be rightly questioned. This picture is from when he signed for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk of Ukraine
(Lost the 2014/2015 Ueropa league final to Sevilla) shortly after the last world cup. He has since left then by mutual consent to join Raja Casablanca of Morocco.

CelebritiesRe: Tiwa Savage Vs Yemi Alade Who Is The Queen Of Nigeriain Music Industry? by Satioshi: 7:34pm On Apr 03, 2016
Yemi Alade without a doubt. The hiatus Tiwa Savage took to birth her child was an opportunity for Yemi to dominate which she took with both hands. Yemi mastered her craft and honed her skills. She became more versatile and even went continental as evidenced by the remix of Nagode which she did in Swahili. Tiwa is a better vocalist no doubt (the best in Nigeria in my opinion) but Yemi seem more versatile and adaptive. I vote Yemi.
