One4me: McDowell? Who? |
Family / Re: Son Destroys Food Items In The Kitchen After Mum Refused His Request (Video) by Saucyxo: 8:11pm On Jul 08, 2020 |
One4me: Ireland and America are two different countries. I just don’t know families whose children have been taken away, I oversee and manage cases of hundreds of children. I know children with cases of sexual assault in the family and they are still there! Don’t tell me about my profession! It’s okay to not know things . I can see now I’m talking to someone who has again made judgement without context. No matter the homelessness, there are newborns that are sleeping in shelters in Ireland. There are newborns on the streets in Ireland. No they won’t! This is not america!!!! America is not standard for what is done in Europe. Stop watching tv and travel! Irish parents beat their kids. I don’t know a single Irish child ( and I know THOUSANDS) that did not grow up being spanked. Parents have told me what they will do to their children when they get home. Spanking only got banned FOUR years ago. And it was a struggle ban. Lots of resistance. And it’s not enforced at all. The child will be taken into foster care right away. Fantasy land. Safeguarding isn’t a one case issue. The government do not want to take kids away. To what benefit? So they can pay for the child’s accomodation, food, personal costs. Have you seen the statistics on children raised in care, what government would encourage this?! |

One4me: I have personal connections. If you go on the instablog twitter page, other personal connections have come forward to make corresponding statements and they’ve made an update. Please stop with this narrative. This isn’t conspiracy theory. Most people that adopt black kids adopt them from Africa and they’re Americans. Ireland is not America. The Irish government won’t even take your kids away if you’re homeless. As someone that also works in child protection I’m telling you taking a child away from their parents is EXTREMELY tasking.

PoliticallyInco: This is hilarious! Very funny. Every single day on nairaland there are reports of kids killing their parents, raping their sisters and doing fraud. There’s no mention of the values African parents are instilling on their children here. Nigerian children can kill their parents and give their sisters belle but they still dobale so all is good. |

One4me: The boy is 17. Has lived in foster care for over four years because of repeated abuse cases. The police don’t like taking children away from their parents. For them to take the kid away, she must have been very abusive. She poured pepper in his eyes because he wanted to go to university. Well done. Nigerians love passing judgment without context. 1 Like |

whitelotus: Where is that penal code Shariah law? In Nigeria, I don’t believe there’s a noise curfew. In my area there is, I’ve chosen to live there, if I make noise after 11pm they will arrest me. I’m not a lawyer. I’m not familiar with how laws are made. Let’s not pretend nigeria is not a lawless country anyways. Again! I’m not agreeing with his arrest oo. In an ideal world, it shouldn’t happen. But come on! Let’s not act like it was not premeditated on his end. My guy wanted trouble and he got it. I’m sure he didn’t expect this much. |

whitelotus: See me see trouble oo. Why are you so angry today uncle Whitelotus. We are friend oo. No need to carry this matter for head. But you made the claims of the flaws as if the universe was designed for you. Most atheists I know don’t subscribe to that idea. The pointing out of lack of thought in a universe that wasn’t designed at all, regardless of designed for you is very theistic. I found it funny that you assumed that 70% of the Earth is inhabitable so the universe is imperfect. Ndo ehn it won’t happen again |

tintingz: Can I see the Tasfir for that please? From what I know and what I’ve read, the reason the people of Quraysh were angry at the Prophet was because he practiced contracting beliefs and had a following. These were current practices that the Prophet went against. Not just about God, also the killing of female children and protection of poor people. I would like to see Tasfir of the insults if you don’t mind. I also know they were upset because the merchants were losing money and were upset at the economic disruption the Prophet was causing. I remember comparing it to the Lutheran reformation in Catholic Rome. Allah knows best. In my opinion, the Quraysh had every right to be angry if indeed they were insulted. |

whitelotus: Because animals are the only living thing and they are all that need to be catered for. I didn’t say the Earth was perfect. I just think it’s funny you seem to think the universe is created for the consumption of human beings. I don’t know much atheists that think like that. |

tintingz: Can I see the Tasfir please? I think we may have conflicting stories about the Prophets migration from Mecca. I’m actually confused. If the Prophet was hated by the Meccans because he insulted their gods (which I don’t believe is what happened), then they are completely justified. 100%. They have every right to be angry. |

tintingz: Cosmology doesn’t deal with if the universe is perfect or not. Anyways Mr Hawking, we should be able to have a conversation with ourselves. I could learn something new. . I didn’t actually argue the universe was perfect. I just felt it was funny Mr whitelotus decided the universe wasn’t perfect because he can’t live in the sea. When there are millions of species that live there. I don’t believe the universe was created FOR us so I don’t see why it should revolve around us. |

whitelotus: Can I see the Tasfir? I believe this is a law in Kano. Penal code or something. You say facts, they say insults. Theirs is the only one that counts here. |
Islam for Muslims / Re: Bala Mubarak; A Disgrace On The Part Of Islam And The Police. Sahara Reporters by Saucyxo: 8:37am On May 24, 2020 |
tintingz: The universe is imperfect because a meteorite COULD hit the Earth. The universe consists of more than the Earth. Things die and are created all around the universe all the time. How does that mean anything? It’s been 2billion years, nothing has hit us, we’re still here. And it all started with a random Big Bang |

Islam for Muslims / Re: Bala Mubarak; A Disgrace On The Part Of Islam And The Police. Sahara Reporters by Saucyxo: 8:31am On May 24, 2020 |
tintingz: Bala was arrested for insulting the Prophet. I would like to see where the Prophet called the higher powers at that time pedophiles and terrorists. Also, this is against the law of the place he lives in... like I don’t understand what he thought would happen. It’s against the law to posses a gun in the UK. Someone will now say well it’s my human right to carry what I want and they’re shocked they get arrested. I’m just letting you know that even if there was instances in Tasfir, I wouldn’t go against my religion. I would go educate myself so I would understand or I’ll just leave it. Allah knows best. |

tintingz: I may be wrong. But I’d like to see how the Prophet and Bala’s approach are similar. Some tasfirs would do. Im a Muslim. There’s nothing you can do or say that will change that. Muslim means I submit to the will to Allah. Even when I don’t see the logic. I study some more and I ask Allah to open my heart to the things I may not understand. I would say I’m a logical person. I’m no advocate of anyone’s free speech being hindered. I have stated SEVERAL times that I don’t agree that he should be killed. Free me na lol what else again |

IMAliyu: I know you didn’t quote me but I wanted to clarify what I meant by low self esteem. One of the major differences I see between Nigerians and western people is how much self esteem they have. There’s a massive sense of patriotism. They understand that this is their country and government officials work for them. So when they do something wrong, people are outraged and people take action. When talking to the average Nigerian, there’s no sense of ownership to Nigeria. People don’t have feel individual responsibility for Nigeria’s current state. That’s why most people feel they can do things in Nigeria they wouldn’t do anywhere else, including the government. They recognise that Nigerians have no real valid sense of pride and esteem for their country so if you pee on the road, no ones going to care. If the government don’t fix the road, no ones going to look for them. |

whitelotus: And you’ve met tons of Muslims and are aware that only a small % agree with that. What has your rants on here done? When you could have learnt something from the people who think differently and then apply their insight into action. e.g Empiree has said that he wouldn’t let his daughter marry at that age. You could have asked why and use the information to create awareness that can actually help people. Say Empiree says it’s because he has a great bond with his daughter, you can spend time highlighting verses in the Quran and Hadith that talk about father and daughter bond which may decrease a fathers inclination to marry off his daughter at 14 ya feel me ? You sound angry lol. Does it make you feel good about yourself? You come here and exchange points with people that you know don’t agree with you. Why? You say to highlight the importance of secularism but all you do is condemn and condemn lol. If I wanted to highlight the benefits of freedom of religion, I would spend my time talking about the positives of all religions and how having a melting pot is beneficial rather than being angry about how people practice their religion ya know? You’ve literally been arguing with Empiree for over a year or is it two now about this pedophilia thing... like to what gain? He doesn’t agree with you. You don’t agree with him. You could have found out so much and learnt so much in that time. Things that will actually benefit the cause you claim to have. 2 Likes |

whitelotus: On nairaland ? Lawmakers? I’m impressed. Tell me, what laws have you changed? You asked me about my perception on Nigerian Muslims and I gave it to you. My friends influence me and I influence people and they influence people. Lol I’m so sorry I don’t believe you. Even if they did. So? Lots of people have left and joined religions for lots of reasons. Reflect a little bit. You live in a religious country. You can stay angry and come here and fight all day. Or you can try to reach a common ground, understand the people around you and learn something new. If you are truly here for a revolution ( and not to feed a false sense of ego like some people here think ), read some history books about the type of people who started revolutions. They weren’t abrasive and hasty. The Bible says “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves“. My point is this is the society that you live in. And you’re not going to change anything by condemning and criticising. You can either learn to be more tolerant or you can stay angry. Nothing’s going to change with the way you’re going about it. |
