Extremely radical assertion. In this same interview,he talked about the undue advantage long throwers like Delap has over other teams, and i wonder if he's ever ponder on the undue advantages the bigger teams have over the smaller teams over-all i.e financial might which is sort of directly proportional to better and more technically gifted players.
I am glad someone now knows Wenger is a good-for-nothing bag of bones who needs to keep his mouth shut.

I prefer is radicalism to the  "till we score" extra minutes whining and "unfit ref" rants of that sod called Alex though. tongue
Fergie is a winner - He's allowed to vent his spleen on rubbish match officials.
U have seen over 180 games this season - Can you honestly say the officiating in this league is superb?
Fergie gave the EPL mouth-to-mouth when the league fainted. . . .He is allowed to point out where the league can be improved.

You mean Sir Alex had his eyes on a mediocre player? shocked Cos if my memory serves me right,he fought tooth and nail to get this same player you so glibly tag mediocre down to OT.
It's United's policy to buy kids all over the globe.
Not all those kids do make it though and i am 100% certain Ramsey woulda been sold to Braga or Royal Antwerp if he had joined Man Utd.
I don't see him getting a start ahead of Fletcher, Anderson, Carrick, Scholes and Gibson.

Image123:
@Sauron
If only he'll go for common sense ahead of sentiments though. I recall the likes of Larsson, Giggs and co and their noteworthy contributions at ManU. Becks, even Bergkamp at Arsenal
Arsene Wenger and common sense are parallel lines that can never meet.
Ask yourself why this glorified serial wanker has never defended a league title in his 13 years in the EPL?
He sees legs and toes where there is hands and nails.

Of course, old players come with a wealth of experience, cool-headedness, calm and composure when there's chaos.
They also lead from the front. Who can fault Larsson's cameo appearance for Man Utd in 2006/7.
How valuable was Giggsy last season and some parts of this season? Wenger is a retard - SIMPLES.

He sold Gilberto because he was 30+ and bought 32+ Silvestre in the defence.
Not even Einstein or the best shrink in the world woulda explained that dumb move.
Now he wants to scrap throw-ins for kick-ins, some seasons ago, he wanted FIFA to award more points for score draws. grin grin grin

Berba that can't take penalties?  grin grin grin
Because he missed one now means he cannot take penalties?
Your memory is short. . . . .Who took the penalty that beat Chelsea in the CC final in 2008? Nasri?

When you start comparing a £30m STRIKER to a £16m WINGER in terms of goals scored then you see how RUBBISH Berba has been for Utd this season.
U are a simpleton. . . . . .
So we should also conclude Lampard is better than Anelka because Lampard has scored more goals?
You need blood transfusion. The stupidity platelets in your veins need to diluted. grin grin grin grin

Useless player. . . as Borat perceptively said, it is when Utd fails to retain the prem this season that the full fury of Utd fans will be unleashed on Berba.
United will win the title. . . . .
You are better off waiting for HELL to freeze than United losing the Prem title this season.

Eastbay:
Guy stop interpreting my words to suit your argument.
Never said Anelka was lazy.
Why is Anelka NOT lazy?
He has played MORE league minutes and has scored LESS goals.

Yes,Berbatov's goal was the most difficult (to you).
It was the most difficult. . . . .Only smart strikers woulda placed the ball the way he did.
Others woulda blasted and it woulda been deflected over the bar a la Rooney against Aston Villa.

But in the first half he has easier chances face-to-face with the Wigan goalie and couldn't even hit the target.
Rooney's goal was the most difficult,by the way.
Rooney also missed good chances.
Wazza shoulda copped at least a brace or a hatrick.

going by Berba's penalty history,(e.g. the penalty shoot-out vs Everton) I'm not so sure my guy woulda scored any of those penalty kicks.
The worst penalty kick of 2009 was taken by Berbatov in the F.A. cup semi final vs Everton.
Carrick can't take penalties - He missed against Burnley
Ronaldo can't take penalties - He missed against Barcelona & Chelsea
Ballack can't take penalties - He missed against Paul Robinson to knock Chelsea out of the Carling Cup.

You and Debosky need to quit the DRUGS.

BTW, what stops the club from acquiring van Roy. Even if na 6months. Even if na one game magic, that can make your season. But I trust arsenal, too full of themselves. I still say I'll be suprised if any new player comes in.
Wenger HATES Van Nistelrooy.
Didn't he call him a liar or something like that?
Ruud made Wenger eat his vomitus in 2002/3 when Wenger boasted he would win the league by April.
Van Nistelrooy continued scoring mouth-watering goals until 12 points gap Arsenal had over Man Utd disappeared and United won the league.

Ruud at Man Utd? Try Martin Keown in Man Utd. grin grin grin grin

Leave Chelsea out of this.
Because Anelka isn't shipping his weight doesn't mean Berbatov is a superstar. Pe
How much did Chelsea pay for Anelka?15 million or there about. If he can contribute 5 goals so far, that's their problem. They can live with it.Afterall,he was top scorer for them in his first full season.
So Anelka is NOT lazy even when he has played more minutes than Berbatov and has scored less goals?
Cheese n Rice. . . . . U amuse me!!!

I can't live with the fact that we paid 30 million for a laid-back slouch with no desire to get into the box.Andwhen he does,he misses several chances terribly before scoring his tap-in from 1/10th yard.
Berbatov's goal last night was more difficult than the goal Rooney scored.
The goal mouth was crowded and the brilliant Bulgarian was still able to find space and toe-poke the ball to where the goalie cannot reach.
Last night, he was brilliant.

If you paid more attention instead of believing the hype that is Berbatov, you'd realise that Rooney is the only member of the strike-force to be feared. He has been operating with virtually no partner.
Says who?
Where are the passes coming from?
Oh. . . . .Rooney just takes the ball from KitKat and run from United's box into opponent's box and score all by himself?
This is new to me.

Should Berba had had 10 goals by now, would we be having this argument?
If Berba had taken all the 4 penos Rooney had copped, He would be on 10 league goals.

Berbatov is worth the money paid to him. . . . .
To actually think Berbatov has scored more league goals than Nicholas Anelka this season means the Bulgarian is doing his best. . . .
Is Anelka also lazy? Anelka has played 1332 league minutes and Berbatov has a league game time of just 1088 minutes.

The combination of Drogba and Anelka has been hailed as the best in the league but letz examine the BLUES BROTHERS.
Drogba(14) and Anelka(5)
Rooney(14) and Berbatov(6).

WENGER WANTS THROW INS TO BE SCRAPPED
He told Arsenal's official website: "(The rule I would change would be) maybe to play throw-ins by foot. Why not? I think it would make the game quicker."
Wenger believes the advantage gained by teams possessing long-throw specialists is unfair.
"For example at Stoke, for Rory Delap it is like kicking the ball," he said.
"It is a little bit of an unfair advantage. He is using a strength that is usually not a strength in football."
Radical though it sounds, Wenger insists the suggestion would not be the most revolutionary change to the game as football evolved to its current format.
"Football is the most popular team game in the world and one day some crazy guy said 'we don't use the hands'," added the manager.
"How could you have imagined on that day a game that is completely natural to play with your hands would become the most popular sport?"
Wenger belongs to the sanatorium if he really said this. . . .
It seems senility is finally catching up with the fool. . . . .How can you scrap throw-ins for kick-ins?
What would that do for the game? Teams like Bolton, Blackburn and Hull will stop playing footie and pack players in the box every time the ball goes out of touch.

I am not talking about Cesc playing centre back or what not. . . . .All i am saying is if Gerrard was a Spaniard, he will get into the national team ahead of Cesc. Gerrard woulda gotten there before the full maturity of Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas cos Gerrard is older than them.
How are we even sure Cesc is not better than Xavi/Iniesta for Spain? We would never know because Xavi/Iniesta have history behind them to make them starters.

Plus Spain has enough players with panache and flair than to employ jack of trades like Gerrard and Lampard abeg.A player who is extremely good at what he does best is it for me anyday, not indisciplined positional whores like Gerrard.

I am putting you in for the next show in Apollo, cos there is a reason a certain Liverpool team has been rudderless since the departure of Alonso inspite of the fact that Gerrard is still there.

Cesc has many qualities but he is not a multi-positional player.

Gerrard and Lampard will walk into that squad.
With the extra qualities and the amount of ammo in their arsenal, they will edge out Alonso, Fabregas and Senna.

Ask yourself this question. . . . how many central midfielders have been by and large the outstanding performers in the history of the Prem?
On the top of me head. . . .

Keane
Vieira
Scholes

. . . . at this moment, no striker or winger compares to Fabregas. . . . thats how I measure quality. . . . even when Keane, Scholes, Lamps etc were running things, they were always outshone by a striker or winger. . . .
Does this not tell you the whole Arsenal team is built around Fabregas?
Where is your perspective, Ijaw man?
When the team was built around Ronaldo at Man Utd(Rooney on the left, Tevez on the right). . .How many goals did Ronaldo score?
Ronaldo became the best player in the planet because there were runners around him ready to do the dirty job he couldn't manage.

at this moment, Fabregas has more impact than anyone else. . . . 12 goals, close to 20 assists, complete domination of the midfield. . . and we're only halfway through the season. . . . what more do you want?. . . . Lamps in his most brilliant season would pray for 20 assists. . . .
That has to do with the quality of players in Arsenal. . . . .It simply means Cesc is their best player and his team has been built around him.
When we had Keane n Scholes, there were still Giggs, Beckham and the destructive combination of Yorke and Andy Cole.
When Arsenal had Vieira, there were still the Dutch Wizard(Bergkamp), Henry and Pires. . . .How many players in the current Arsenal squad WILL WALK INTO the Invincibles of 2003/4? Only Cesc. . . . . .and Arshavin will sit on the bench.

Stick Fabregas in Chelsea today and Drogba, Lampard and Essien will eat 80% of the assists and goals he scores week in week out.
Stick him in Man Utd and he will pale in comparison to Rooney's gut busting performance week in week out.
If you put Abou Diaby in Enyimba of Aba. . . .He will score 40 goals and 58 assists in Naija Premier League.

Fabregas' case is the one of a local champion amongst retards or a small fish in a tiny pond. grin

Fabregas is the best midfielder in England. I have been saying this since 2007.
All that was missing was the goals. Now he is scoring at an alarming rate with a composure that most strikers would sell their grandmother to possess.
The only great midfielder that is yet to lead his team to win any title in England.
You are a disgrace!!!

What we are witnessing from Fabregas at this time is a moment of genius.
Ordinarily, central midfielders should not be dominating games as exclusively as Fabregas is in the Premiership. That is traditionally a wingers role in England.
Van Nistelrooy was not a winger when he took this league apart in his debut season.
Vidic wasn't a midfielder when his name kept appearing at the back of newspapers in the last 2 seasons.
To be a great player, leading your team to win something(or anything) must be a criterion.

Fabregas this season goes into the same echelon as Ronaldo, Henry and Cantona. . . . they are the only 4 players in that class in the last 20 years. . . . players who dictate games single-handedly.
You are a goat.
What is the common denominator in the players you mentioned above?
They all won tonnes of titles. Fabregas should follow suit.

Lampard belongs on the rung below with Gerrard, Drogba, Giggs, Scholes, Keane, Vieira, Pires etc.
U wouldn't have said this when Lampard was in his PRIME.
When Frank Lampard was the hub in Jose Mourinho's Chelsea pinging ridiculous passes and delivery to team-mates.
I will have Essien and Gerrard ahead of Cesc Fabregas.

Stop ya bloodclot crying. . . . aw many points ave you copped this gameweek?. . . Im in the late 60's (-8 for transfers) with 4 players still to play, including my captain.
Look at this Mgbeke. . . .Who send you message to waste 8 points on players?
Unlike many of y'all. . . . .I don't buy players anyhow. There's no point wasting 8 points on players after the normal free transfer.
It's atrocious.

Meanwhile, how can you have 4 players still to play when Arshavin has already played?
Are you high on Paraga?

I had him 3 GW's and he wasnt producing. . . . Liverpool are not exactly free-scoring at the moment and he wasnt getting any chances. . . . even the chance he got against Villa was from a ricochet.
But the goal counted and he won MOTM for that single effort.
I played him cos i knew he was looking for his 50th league goal.
All he had to do was score and the MOTM was his. . . . .I drew 9 precious points from him last night. wink
