FBS:That's a very good point. In short, i am switching ma allegiance back to the EAGLES. We can still win this game but Yakubu has to go. Where is that Zaragoza striker sef? |
This MATCH tire me o. I should just start supporting Ghana now. The under 17 boys are better than these super FALCONS. |
Joseph Yobo is a disgrace. He shoulda cleared that ball OFF THE LINE. |
KENYA SCORESSSSSSSSSS The guy cut our defence into SHREDS!!!! |
FBS:When are we going to go Digital in Nigeria? And to think AIT is now on Satellite network. . . . .This picture is a disgrace. |
FBS:AIT is showing this on SKY187. Pictures look a bit hazy though. Shouldn't that be a penalty for Nigeria? The Kenyan knocked the head of the Naija player with his head in the box after the Nigerian player got to the ball first. |
allboyz:U be mumu. Were you blind when JE stopped Drogba last week? When JE raped Drogba in January at OT? When JE forced Drogba to an early substitution at SB last season? This same Drogba has not failed yet to score against Arsenal whenever he's played against y'all. |
allboyz:JE is better than TV5. Rio/Vidic kept a record of not conceding in about 14 league games last season. Those are the stuffs of LEGENDS. Until TV5 achieves that on the back of having won UCL + 3 EPLs, then come back for a proper comparison. Only a complete fool will compare Rio to TV5. |
allboyz:Rio was not FIT in Rome, he was rushed to feature in that game. If your retentive memory is intact, you woulda known the same Rio raped Henry/Eto'o 2 seasons ago in Camp Nou and OT when he was FIT!!! One on One situation with TV5? Adebayor went past 5 Arsenal defenders within 3 seconds. |
allboyz:Which TV5 are you talking about? The one SWP and a useless Adebayor ejaculated on earlier in the season? |
loyika:Gallas and TV5 will sit on the bench at OT if Rio and Vidic are FIT. Vidic/Rio are "unbenchable" anywhere in Europe. So for Johnny Evans and Pique, it's a huge task breaking into the first team when they have the best centre-halves in Europe in their club. Ask yourself how Rio/Vidic have been in the PFA team for the past 3 seasons. |
sofa-dj:Try volume 1. |
loyika:Big games like UCL semis(last season), Vs. Chelsea at OT in January, etc. Of course, Fletcher single-handedly won United those games but as an unsung hero. Had he played against Barca, maybe United woulda won the UCL in Rome. Maybe!!! We shall see at the end of the season if TV is not rated by his football peers in the Prem!! But knowing you, the story change to; "JE didn't play this and that amount of game!!", "Fergie was saving him for Christmas!!", "Rooney raped his (JE's) mother and he was grieving!!" Or some other "cods waddle"TV starts every game for Arsenal. . . . . . .JE does not so there's a universe of difference between the two. Until Pique left Man Utd for Barca, would you have said he was better than Senderos when he was largely a reserve player at OT? |
loyika:But Fletcher has raped Fabregas each time they have faced each other. Tell us one match Cesc got better of Fletcher since he became a regular at Arsenal. Fergie would give anything to have Cesc in his team (and Cesc would start every game for United if he were there)Cesc would be a complete liability to Man Utd. His style of play does not suit Man Utd. I will have Fletcher over him any day and that's evident in the number of titles Fletcher has won since Cesc's arrival from Spain. Then another is the J Evans vs TVJE >>>>>> TV. Prove otherwise or TAPE IT SHUT!!!! |
They berate and banish Sir Alex Ferguson for a stupid comment about a slightly chubby referee and cravenly ignore all the good the Manchester United manager has done, all the glory he has brought to English football, all the talent he has helped mould for the cause of St George. So who do you want influencing football? Pen-pushers or Treble-winners? Ferguson's verdict on Alan Wiley's fitness was undoubtedly insulting and iniquitous. Referees, even those like Wiley slightly lacking sleekness, deserve respect. The alternative is mayhem in the opinion-forming playgrounds of the Premier League and subsequent anarchy in the UK schoolyards. Those brought up to bow at the altar of "the referee is always right even when he is blatantly wrong'' cannot tolerate Ferguson's stance. The belittling of officials is a widespread modern curse that needs combating. Even Fabio Capello ambushed the referee in the tunnel in Dnepropetrovsk, raging about decisions against England, using language that would make Ferguson blush. Did the FA call Capello to account? No chance. "As the senior statesman Fergie should be setting an example,'' reflected an England supporter. "A lot of young managers look up to him, but any other manager probably would not have been punished so harshly. The FA have got to be more consistent really. Players abuse the officials weekly.'' And escape. The case against Ferguson lacks perspective. It is like hounding Barack Obama for double-parking outside the White House. The FA must see the bigger picture with Ferguson. This is an individual whose managerial feats have been worth tens of millions of pounds to his rivals, raising the Premier League's coefficient to permit a fourth side into the Champions League. At the risk of straying further into Monty Python territory, what has Ferguson ever done for English football? Well, this is a leader of men who has built on David Moyes's fine work at Everton to nurture Wayne Rooney into England's one saving grace. This is the club boss who could supply more than half of England's starting XI in Ben Foster, Wes Brown, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Owen Hargreaves and Rooney, let alone cultivating Ra'vel Morrison as a potential gem for 2014. Better than Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere, certainly up there with Jack Rodwell, if Morrison does emerge as the pre-eminent English footballer of his generation, it will be because of a certain Scot's shrewd guidance. I can't remember the last time the FA acknowledged Ferguson's role in shaping England's present or future. Crassly imitating a scene from Swift, Lilliputian no-names attempt to bring down a giant of the game. The cast of pygmies includes Alan Leighton, a rep from referees' union Prospect, an unknown organisation in football until its pushy principal began piggybacking on Ferguson's fame. Apparently, Prospect represents referees. So Leighton will know that Ferguson was the first manager to inquire after Mark Halsey's health. It is the inconsistency of individuals such as Leighton that is particularly galling. Ferguson makes a mistake and gets pilloried. Leighton's members make shocking errors, ignoring beach-balls and bad challenges, yet the Prospect chief stays silent. The FA seems to have been swayed by a union man stamping his feet and spouting off on the airwaves. Football would be better place if a wise owl such as Ferguson, for all his acerbic outbursts, was advising the FA and its hordes of amateurs on how to run the game. In a land where many FA types just worry about guaranteeing their free tickets to Wembley every year, Ferguson plots how to take his team there again and again. Ferguson contributes so much to the game that the FA fails to note. England's most important player, Rooney, rallied to his manager's defence yesterday, detailing why Ferguson should be cherished. "First of all the trophies he's won,'' began Rooney, "and the type of football he wants you to play – attacking football all the time. Sometimes you feel you can't do it but he keeps you going. At his age [67], he still wants to win all the time. That's incredible to see.'' Ferguson should show more respect to referees – and football should show more respect to Ferguson. |
jalether:Shut up you rent boy!!! |
debosky:Price and ability to perform are 2 different things. . . . .If it is, Adebayor shoulda scored 20 goals already so don't get things twisted. Nani is a young'un and a winger to boot. His productivity will be judged by the number of goal assists he churns out at the end of the season. In his first season at United, he copped the highest number of assists(beating Ronaldo, Giggs, Rooney, Tevez, etc). His form suffered because SAF stopped playing him in BIG games and i also suspect Carlos Queiroz's departure is a major set-back to Nani's development. Eduardo has been out for nearly 12 months with a career threatening injury so there are mitigating circumstances. Even at that, his presence alone led to TWO goals in our last 4-1 victory, and he has scored a number of goals this season. That's far more productive than Nani has been in his entire career, AND he didn't cost 17mEduardo is a poacher/striker. . . . .Nani isn't It's kinda senseless comparing the 2 players on the number of goals they have both scored. Dudu is 26, Nani is 22 and i am sure Nani is more accomplished and has performed in the biggest stage than Eduardo can ever be. chic2pimp:I don't see any difference between the two of them. Ronaldo joined United when the club could afford to nurture a young talent like him while Nani joined Man Utd when a draw = crisis in the club. Even when United win games against the BIG 4, they still get criticised. |
debosky:What has his price-tag gotta do with this? Have you sold Eduardo who has regressed since his first season at the Emirates? |
OMO IBO:It is mandatory from FIFA. |
debosky:How many seasons did it take United fans to realise Darren Fletcher has it in him? Keane was going to tell the whole world how rubbish Darren Fletcher was 4 years ago. . . . . .Look at Fletcher now!!!! |
Emperoh:You guys(TKB, Eastbay, Nyabinghi) are not being fair to Nani and i will tell you why. . . . . There are strong parallels between Nani and Ronaldo even though they are similar type of players and all that. . . . . A BIG difference is where the TEAM was at when these guys were developing. Ronaldo just happened to be here during a transitional/rebuilding phase and as such he got thrusted into the limelight and was allowed to find himself and his panache at OT. Nani is here at one of the high points in United history, where every season we are expected to batter teams into submission, win the Premiership and contend for the CL. Its the difference between winning trophies now AND building for a run in 2 or 3 seasons - which is EXACTLY where Ronaldo was when we shipped Ruud out. It is unfortunate because Nani in a lesser team like Fulham or Tottenham would start week in week out and may develop into a world class player. At United he is a developing squad player who when he has slumps in form, we cannot afford to let it play through because United are always expected to WIN(which wasn't the case when Ronaldo was developing at OT). Let's be completely fair here. . . . It is the kid's career we are talking about. If he is concerned with the number of games he starts then he has the right to be. Perhaps United isn't the right place for someone as talented as he is right now. It is a hard decision to make, on one hand you have success on a team level, you are winning all sorts of trophies. On an individual level you may not become the best possible player you can be and realize your full potential. That is something Nani needs to come to terms with, a realization that can be hard for a young kid. |
r231:Woolwich is a different ball game. . . . . . .It's a concrete street. U see bare niggaz in there blasting their Yoruba and are ready to kick ass at the slightest provocation. But even with that, these places are still better than most areas in Lagos. |
platinumnk:You mean you haven't sent the dough yet? Chineke Meiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Bring your ass here, lemme flog it. ![]() |
slimshay:Arsenal is number one on the list. I can show you the amount of penalties FOR and AGAINST all the teams in the BIG FOUR for the past 5 years. Alex Ferguson has been known to berate referees most times in full galre of the public, denegrating them. He usually gets away with simple relative slaps on the wrist. And its cos England respect their knights.Shouldn't they be berated? How can you reconcile with what happened to Man Utd @ Anfield and Stamford Bridge? Carragher got sent off a week after @ Craven Cottage when a competent referee was officiating the game but he got away with it @ Anfield because a spineless referee was officiating. Managers get sacked, Players get shipped out because of the meaningless decisions referees are making. Respect begets respect. The FA needs to come hard on anyone no matter who he is if their respect campaign is going anywhere. Rooney is well known for talking shit to refeeres and gets away cos he's englands golden boy. Let them stop their hypocriscy and make a real scape goat of someone unexpected then others will learn. This 2 match ban is a joke.I don't give a damn about the FA handing SAF a 2-match ban. He rarely prances about in the technical area these days like Wenger n Benitez so i can't be bovvered. The issue here is. . . .the FA should buckle up and use competent referees if they want players to respect them. |
chic2pimp:It does especially when these under-rated players keep out-muscling the so called world class midfielders. I have watched Fletcher grow from an average player to a Keane-esque type of player in the last 12 months. He is not a media boy does not mean he is not the best in this league. |
metal-gong:U have a penis in your brain. I don't stay in Nigeria but i know a whole lot more than the majority of y'all staying there. Nigerians in diaspora travel home so they see the ugly things you guys love to mask in the name of patriotism. Only a complete lunatic will come out publicly and say Nigeria is the place to be when 40 million youths are jobless, power supply is erratic amongst other problems plaguing the nation. |
slimshay:Cesc being nominated for WPOTY was because he wears a red shirt for Spain not because of his watery performance in Arsenal. A player who is yet to wear any medal in 5 years shouldn't even be discussed in a committee of great players. Cesc should prove his greatness and win a league title. slimshay:The same Song Billiong that Fletcher and Anderson destroyed in last season's UCL both home n away? ![]() Where's your retentive memory? ![]() |
tkb417:GAYnners are blind, deaf and dumb. After the game at OT. . . . . . . .All the football pundits in Europe told Wenger what he needs is DARREN FLETCHER. That speaks volume on it's own. Fletcher will be more valuable to them than Cesc, Arshavin, Donkey Diaby and Alex Song. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/arsenal/6114767/Alan-Hansen-Arsenal-need-someone-like-Darren-Fletcher-in-their-team.html http://www.tribalfootball.com/arsenal-legend-wright-tells-wenger-stop-moaning-and-buy-gattuso-290941 |
slimshay:Fletcher has faced Arsenal midfielders more than 12 times. I will give you $500 if you can show me a match where any of your midfielders outperformed Darren Fletcher. Who was Cesc when Fletcher was raping Vieira in the FA cup semifinal in 2004? Where was Cesc when Darren d'icked GAYnners midfield(Silva, Edu and Vieira) at Highbury by helping his team win 4-2? |
Krayola:We have so many underrated players because they don't have a fixed position/role. The fact is our midfield has been rotated so much, and many variations from three man, to two man etc None of our midfielders has really carved out a role for themselves and had a consistent run of games in a certain position to allow them to gain a reputation like Ballack, Fabregas, Mascherano or Essien. |
tkb417:Yes, we should beat Chelsea but the referees wouldn't let it happen. Even with many important players out, United still showed their superiority on the day. With Howard Webb/Collina on the pitch, United woulda been 2 goals up before the 20th minute. chic2pimp:To the daft mind, this statement is correct. However, Fabregas has never had a good game against Fletcher. |
slimshay:You must be hallucinating. Vermaelen will never lead Arsenal to a CL final. Vidic has done that already. Sauron, Darren 'Lawn mower' Fletcher is only in the man U team to foul people. I cant count the number of scummies that have boasted abt this. Guess what after repeatedly fouling all over the pitch on sunday he finally daftly gives away the one right in front of the penalty box that leads to the goal. How very 'reasonabale'.But TV replays showed he got the ball legally. It's like blaming him for the outrageous call the referee made in the CL S/final at the Emirates. He raped Fabregas silently but a visually-impaired referee gave him a red card. |
