No I wasn't but I know quite a number of people who have gone through this and it was all via webform. They sent to both IRCC and Accra and they got Acknowledgement of Receipt of the webforms.

Reached out to my contact at the records office and he told me the Bsc and diploma transcript were put together in the same stamped envelope either ways i'm definitely sending the diploma transcript again if that is what it would take to resolve the issue. Thanks for the suggestions maybe they can send it electronically as soon as school resumes on Tuesday.

The same thing happened to be when I evaluated my b.sc and diploma in 2019. My diploma was rejected as well. After the stress I went through even getting those transcripts sent in the first place I wasn't about to visit unilag again o. I had to send WES several emails explaining how it was possible that i sent my diploma transcript myself as unilag never sends transcripts to their alumni. After back and forth of about 2 weeks, the transcript was accepted! You could do the same. Unilag does not send electronic mail to WES, it's all done via DHL. Unless ofcourse you dont mind going to the diploma office to have it sent again.

Good morning people, so sorry to ask basic questions, I just want to be properly guided. I did WES Evaluation for my PGD and I got "Post Graduate Diploma (one year)" as Canada Equivalency Summary.

I actually have HND, but opted to do the PGD being the highest. Now, when evaluating my CRS scored, I noticed if I had done WES for my HND, it would have given 2 or more certificates, which would give higher point than " One year program at a university " I currently get for my PGD. I am correct with the selection of "one year program at a university" as the equivalent of my PGD?

My question, what is the correct selection for PGD when doing CRS evaluation?

you should evaluate your OND and HND with WES to claim 2 or more certificates. PGD might be your highest certificate but it isnt valued that way by evaluating bodies.

every point counts o. Most people on this journey go through stress to evaluate their nigerian degrees. If you both feel comfortable with just the HND, go ahead. But I'll tentatively suggest he evaluates the 2 if it gives you more points. Best of luck!

it doesnt matter what your grade is. Also their an upload button on the WES portal for your certificate. If the UNILAG portal isnt working, I think you should go to the UNILAG transcript office to ask about alternative ways.

Most likely COVID. Last year, there were no general draws for about 3 months and after that there were general draws only once a month for awhile. In that time, the CRS scores skyrocketed. That's why I'd advice anyone to better their scores because the next general draw is most definitely going to be above 470.... except you've got age and patience on your side.
As for manitoba, I dont know anything about it. Rumor has it that people abused the relative thing sha.

no, not really he's/she's not. The fact is noone knows when general draws will resume. So, it's best one betters their CRS however they can.

You could always attach an affidavit to your application stating your real age when the time comes or you could try getting in contact with WES if you're sure the correct DOB was on your transcript in the first place. Lots of people have gone through this age thing with WES so it's never the end of your journey ok?

I know someone with Hepatitis B who has passed medicals. Even if you lied about the Hep B, the tests would still have picked it up. Just have faith that things will work out.

I personally feel one should get their bank reference as close to submission as possible.

Dont worry so much. At 490, even if they dont do a draw for the rest of the month (God Forbid o) you're completely safe. Just start gathering documents, POF etc.

I’m a tad worried about my proof of funds with the way CAD has been fluctuating. I’ll be submitting my application sometime this week and 4 million naira is all I can spare right now for POF. I’ve been worried sick that with the whole fluctuation going on, it might not be enough. Secondly my bank reference has no average six months balance like in the CIC format. It was a huge hassle of going to the bank every day for two weeks to get this one. Will a six month bank statement suffice instead? There was hardly any activity in the account these six months though

Hah! Do not decline o! 4 million should be more than enough. The P0F for single applicant is actually 3.8m with change. If it makes you feel better add 100k extra. No one knows what future draws will look like. I repeat, do not decline!

I dont understand. The express entry system wont give you 15 points for cousin but it'll give you for what I mention earlier. The only way you'd have gotten the 15 points in the 1st place is if you claimed you had a bro, sis, mom or dad. That would be misrepresentation. I've never heard/read that Ontario chooses candidates based on familial relationships. At the end of the day, you'd have to prove that the person is your bro/sis. Goodluck with that.

Tell them to update their profile tonight. These days, it takes about 24 hours to transmit the updated profile. If the profile is not fully submitted by the draw they wont get picked. But then again, they probably have nothing to worry about as hopefully 472 is very much safe.
