My common problems now are palpitations and arrythymia, when I lay down to sleep, I can feel my heart beating all over my body.
My heart beats faster when I stand up, even without doing anything.
Listen here, when this started newly, there's a medicine doctor gave me, when I took it first, it felt like everything is normal (it's medicine used to treat hypertension),
1 month later, Omo, seems like the medicine doesn't work anymore.
At times if I don't take it for 1 week, and take it again, it works perfectly that day I resume taking it, from next day, it goes back to not being effective.
What could be the problem? Medicine not working abi condition got worse to be controlled
Note - I'm seeing a doctor already, I just wanna hear from experienced fellas here Is the doctor a Cardiologist? If not, look for a Cardiologist. You may need an ECG and other specialized tests |

I plan to resign from my current job by the end of February 2024 so that I can go into full time agriculture. That's my discipline from school anyway.
I've been able to raise just 1 million naira within a year and 2 months and the plan is to plant cassava and maize on a 12 acre farmland I'm about to secure.
6k per acre of land
I also plan to use about an acre for planting pepper and tomatoes.
I hope I'm not making a hasty decision by resigning from my job soon. Have you already planted something? One Million is not big money. Retain your job and test the water first. By middle of the year, if everything is going as planned you can then go full time |

Hinokami: During my initial interview I gave a figure that was above my current pay, now they insist on me providing the payslip before proceeding to the next stage of the employment process.
The thing is I have monthly bonuses not captured on the payslip and I fear not providing evidence would make me disqualified for the role.
Who has navigated such process before as I don't know what to do.
Is it even legal to ask for payslips?
Will they actually contact my current employer to verify the payslip?
Note: it's a financial institution. I heard they are fond of doing this during their recruitment. I am not in support of giving out payslips or asking a potential employee for their payslip. They should have just asked you for an employment letter or an ID of your current company Tell them you are not comfortable handing out your payslip to them Their considering you for the job was based on your capabilities, isn't it? If they decide not to take you, oh well! My personal opinion though |
NYSC › Re: Rahila Garba: Bauchi Corper Builds N3.5M Block Of Classrooms by SavageMaster: 12:09pm On Dec 14, 2023 |
money121: The two classrooms block constructed by Miss Rahila Garba.
A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Bauchi state, Miss Rahila Garba, has constructed and inaugurated a block of two classrooms worth N3.5 million in Gudun Hausawa Primary School, a suburb of Bauchi metropolis.
During the inauguration of the project, yesterday, the corps member, who was serving in the Office of the Bauchi State Head of Civil Service, said the project was part of her Community Development Service (CDS), adding that it was solely financed by Habibu Engineering Nigeria Limited. According to her, the idea to embark on such a project came after she visited some schools and found out how conducive the pupils were in class.
She said the primary school caught her attention, when she visited the school and realised that the already existing structure was dilapidated while the pupils were sitting under the tree to learn.
She said: “It was this horrible experience that gave birth to the idea for the construction of additional classrooms. At first, it was not easy to bring this idea to life considering my financial status. But because I was determined and so passionate to see that this project comes to life, I decided to make some consultations of what it will cost for the construction of the entire project and I began to shuttle here and there seeking approval and doing some paperwork.”
“Finally, I got the approval of Habibu Engineering Nigeria Limited for sponsorship. I am proudly saying that this project today is completed and it will be officially commissioned to commence class activities here.”
She called on the state government and well-to-do individuals to help in providing the school with chairs and other furniture.
Public Relations Officer, Habibu Engineering Nigeria Limited, Salmanu Baba, said the project, estimated at about N3.5 million, was completed within 39 days.
Bauchi Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Rifkatu Yakubu, said corps members had been encouraged by the scheme to integrate with their host communities to find out their challenges and proffer solutions where necessary.
Caretaker Chairperson of Bauchi Local Council, Mrs Zainab Baba-Takko, lauded Garba for embarking on the project and promised that the state government would commence renovation of other parts as well as provide the chairs she requested. Nice gesture from the Corper. Tomorrow, one Senator or House of Reps Member will collect about 100 million for a similar classroom block, leave the building uncompleted and pocket the rest of the money. |

robosky02: 2023 CAF Player Award: Osimhen, Salah, Hakimi Make Final Three Shortlist
Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, will battle Mohamed Salah of Egypt and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi for the 2023 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award, Completesports.com reports.
The final three shortlist was announced by CAF on their X handle.
Osimhen is hoping to become the first Nigerian since Nwankwo Kanu in 1999 to win the award.
On Monday in Milan, the 24-year-old was named the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) Player of the Year for the 2022/23 Serie A season.
Salah has been a recipient of the award after winning it twice in 2017 and 2018.
For Hakimi, he will become the first Moroccan to win the award after Mustapha Hadji in 1998.
Other Nigerians who made the final shortlist in their different categories include Asisat Oshoala, Deborah Abiodun and Chiamaka Nnadozie.
Oshoala is in the running to defend her Women’s Player of the Year award as she is in the three-player shortlist with Barbara Banda of Zambia and Thembi Kgatlana of South Africa.
Nnadozie is in contention for Goalkeeper of the Year while Abiodun made the final nominee for Women’s Young Player of the Year award.
Earlier CAF shortlisted Nigeria for the 2023 Women’s National Team of the Year alongside Morocco and South Africa.
The winners will be announced on Monday, 11 December in Marrakech, Morocco.

nairalanda1: Look at it this way
1..They get a masters degree before they graduate
2. It kind of happens in the UK, students take a year off to get intercalated masters degrees
3..Nigeria doesn't have enough doctors. Government is putting pressure on the education system to train more. No space in the clinical side as a result
4. It is an old problem. Very old Why admit 200 students when you have quota to graduate only 50. People will be collecting automatic extra year, no be say they write exam come fail. To me, this is sheer wickedness |

In an interview with Premium Times, Yusuf Tuggar, minister of foreign affairs, said the reason the President did not deliver a speech was because Nigeria wanted more action and less talk.
You wanted 'more action and less talk' yet you carried over 1,000 people to the conference. Only to get there and now want less talk.
Why not stay back in Nigeria and watch it online if you wanted less talk.

Family › Re: How Do I Handle This Heartlessness by SavageMaster: 9:58am On Nov 12, 2023 |
Danremmy: Good evening house.
I need to take a bold step on this, I already feel cheated, Please read and advise accordingly.
So I got a job at Allen ikeja, my late father house is at yaba where I stay, but due to shame of unemployment I had to take a bold step and leave home started living in a church at berger and continued my job hunting.
After I got a job, I moved back to our house at yaba. But it has really been a hell of living due to high cost of transportation daily.
I have a junior brother who is an airforce personnel, serves at Pwd ikeja. I told him my plight I would need to move him with him due to transportation cost which he grudgingly agreed to because his girlfriend stays with him.
Few days after I moved to his place, I can say it was even more hell than previous experience due to maltreatment from my lil bro and his babe. I mean before I go to work, I wash the plates everyone uses, I sweep and fetch water, like I basically do all house chores. I have my reasons why u do them because I know d kinda person this my lil bro is.
The days I forget to do the chores or I postponed it my bro is gonna challenge me when I get back from work why I didn't do the chores.
After two weeks, I had to leave his house and went back to our late dad's house to sleep, but I still left some of my clothes and belongings at his place. So yesterday after I closed from work and I got home, i met my lil bro at our house with mom.
We had some arguments, that led to exchanging blows btw us which my mom wasn't strong enough to separate but our tenants later came to separate us. He started insulting me and reminding me how I start in his house and my belongings are still there. He said if I didn't go to his house to take away my things that he was going to throw them out when he gets home.
But my mom asked me not to answer, that he was just saying those words due to the heat of the moment.
He later left and went to his house, only for his girlfriend to call me this morning that my lil bro had throw my bags out and burnt them. I can't even believe this till now.
That's my only property, I don't have any other clothes and he knows I only manage those clothes, including my shoes I wear to work.
I'm thinking of reporting him to air police(provost) , but I'm scared they might cover for him and lock me in guard room because he already dared me to try it.
Though my mom has been begging me to overlook it, but how can I? despite all this suffering. He still has d guts to treat me this way. I have nothing else to wear except this I'm wearing right now
Pls I need ur candid advise how I can deal with him though I know it won't bring back my stuffs but I don't just want to suffer in vain . You are going through a phase. Like someone already advised, don't focus on the distraction. You are at your lowest ebb in life. You need to seek God's face and also work on improving yourself, including learning some skills and also networking with the right people. If you continue fighting with your brother, he will one day ask you if it's his fault that you're struggling. Leave him alone and move on. Pray for him and your Mum too. One day, when things turn around for you, he will be the one running to you for forgiveness |
