TeemahBeddings: Okkkk. Come and buy bedsheets
If you want someone who will do all your chores for you. Hire a maid. You are your partner helper. Simply because you are the man doesn't mean you should turn your wife into a slave. During our forefather's time, the sole responsibility of the woman is to hold the home front and help on the farm once in a while, the man brings the food and money to the table. But now, you want a maid and someone who brings money to the house.
Shameless bunch of men You want men to buy your bedsheet after this? That's poor PR for whichever company you represent. |

Nasreports77: BOLT, UBER OPERATING ILLEGALLY SAYS ABUJA PAINTED TAXI PRESIDENT, INTRODUCES NAIRAXI AS LICENSED OPERATORS IN FCT
By Godson Ikpontu
Few hours ago in Abuja, the President of Abuja Painted Taxi, Comrade Shehu Shugabi Yar'adua louded the illegal operational activities of Bolt and Uber transport services in FCT, stressing that the duo organizations are not licensed operators and have thereby contributed in supporting illegalities in the city's transport industry. He made the statement in Abuja while introducing NAIRAXI to residents of FCT, an indigenous and newly created on-demand ride hailing and logistics service, described as Nigeria version of Uber.
Comrade Shehu Shugabi hailed the new NAIRAXI Driver Application and its interest to support the digitalisation of Abuja Painted Taxi with a partnership which was sealed at the office of NAIRAXI on the 7th of January 2021. The partnership allows Abuja Painted Taxi to be included in the mobile application of NAIRAXI.
He further stated that the indigenous NAIRAXI driver application will provide an opportunity for Abuja Painted Taxis to be repackaged for more effective transport service delivery, as he assured commuters of it readiness to address the challenges of vehicle cleanliness and moral ethics of it's Abuja Painted Taxi Drivers, which will be included in the NAIRAXI mobile application. He however commended NAIRAXI for launching Nigeria’s version of Uber and Bolt, stressing that their partnership with the company will enable the Painted Abuja Taxi to migrate from analog to digital system.
In a statement by the Co-Founder of NAIRAXI, Mr. Kingsley Eze, he noted that over 45percent of Abuja residents navigates across the city using the painted green taxis, but over the years, they’ve been disenfranchised, because they don’t have the actual technology to maintain relevance for better service delivery. He however stated that most of them have seen their income dwindle over these last three-four years, but will be resolved as it partners with NAIRAXI Mobile Application. He says, "We want to change of face of mobility in the FCT with electronic commerce and logistics, thereby pioneering this very great innovation, to connect Nigerians on all income growth, to get safe and affordable ride, order and shop for anything, as well as send and track parcels”, he concluded. All I see here is someone beefing Uber and Bolt. By the way, this is the first time in my life I'm hearing of Abuja painted taxi or whatever they call themselves. Where have they been all this while? |

MASTAkiLLAh: Lets see if the powers that be will allow you shake their table.
Advent of gsm in Nigeria, MTN & Econet started at N50 per minute with various silly excuses, a third player owned by Mike Adenuga came on board and promised N10 per minute. They gave him a faulty spectrum capable of sending him through Nigeria’s lenghty and expensive judicial labyrinth for years. Baba had to pipe low. TSTV came along with pay per view and other goodies, shaking the table of DSTV. The company has been frustrated into silence and they'll only rear their ugly head when DSTV and Nigerian politicians allow them to come up for air.
There are many other instances but these two will let you know you cant just shake the table and introduce innovations without taking permission from those at the top Those were local companies, as in owned by Nigerians. This one is a "global player". I hope they can match the powers that be, and carve out a niche for themselves |

Travel › Re: Canada Hype And Travel Rush: Here Are Things You Need To Know by SavageMaster: 8:59am On Jan 11, 2021 |
Princewill1: The high successes recorded by dubious politicians, fraudulent pastors and ponzi scheme operators in Nigeria are living proofs that Nigerians can be so gullible. We can easily be deceived. The astronomical hype on Canada is the latest deceit in town. Here are things you need to know before immigrating.
1. The list of richest Nigerians is filled with Nigerians living at home. You're more likely to make it into Forbes if you live in Nigeria. At least that's what the stat shows, whether people making into Forbes in Nigeria are engaging in corrupt practices is a story for another day. The odds of becoming a dollar billionaire favours those at home . No Diaspora Nigerian has ever made it into Forbes billionaire list.
2. There are more money to be made in a developing economy than in a developed economy. That's why as you're rushing out of the country, Lebanese, Indians and Chinese are rushing in. Only few will understand. You're sitting on the biggest market in Africa yet you haven't realize this but the Lebanese and the Indians knew this.
3. If you are the type who don't fancy working for others, it's much more easier to own a business in Nigeria than in Canada/US. Western countries were set up for the 99% populace to work for 1% elites. Their education systems were designed to produce workforce for the rat race. Not to create employers of labour.
4. It's stupidity to resign from a high-paying job in Nigeria in a bid to relocate to Canada/US. Your eyes will get clear up when you start facing the hard realities in Canada. Those who had made this mistake in the past are ashamed to come on social media to talk about it. The ones talking on Twitter are 'freshers' who just arrived.
5. If you want to secure 2nd passport for your kids, you don't necessarily need to immigrate to achieve this. There are other ways, one method is overseas child birth.
6. You're 5x more likely to be shot and rubbed in New York than in Lagos. Poor neighborhoods all over the world has more crime rates. The thing is, when you finally made it in Nigeria, you can move to high brow areas with lesser crime.
7. Nigerians are spending up to 8millions ($21k) and above to immigrate to Canada/US whereas an average canadian or American citizen can't boast of $10k in their bank A/C's. They live pay check to pay check.
8. Some Nigerians claims that they ain't relocating because of the money but because of good infrastructure, good health care system, value for their money etc. That's a lie! 98% of Nigerians who're eager to travel out are relocating because of economic reasons. There are good infrastructure, good health care system and value for money in countries like Kuwait, Russia, Brazil, South Korea, Chile etc but Nigerians ain't trooping there, indicating that their preference for Canada/US is purely based on economic reasons.
9. It's cheaper to live in Nigeria. Canada/US promises higher minimum wage but the system will still take it away from you. It's like giving you with one hand and taking from you with another. $2k (N760k) will pay for your one year rent of 2 bedrooms apartment in a good location in Nigeria but same amount will only fetch you one month rent of a match box apartment in Canada/US.
10. This is not to stop you from traveling out but to inform you on the true realities. Economic immigration should be left for lower or working class who're struggling or to young lads who wants to school abroad and thereafter further their career overseas. Not to deceive Nigerians already earning good in corporate offices in Nigeria to resign and relocate where they will be employed as security guards or to deceive business owners who's businesses are thriving in Nigeria to close down business and relocate. Don't let them deceive you with the hype. Money don't grow on trees anywhere in the world. Lol...Op was brutally frank in this writeup. Well, it's a matter of choice; though I know most Nigerians would love to relocate if they met all the requirements. |

Properties › Re: How Do I Approach My Landlord To Withdraw The Increment In Rent? by SavageMaster: 5:16pm On Jan 05, 2021 |
iko123: Most tenants renew their rents at the beginning of the year. Based on my tenancy agreement,I renewed my rent early than expected because I had a lot of activities lined up for the year that will require money. Besides, I don't want landlord to remind me that my rent has expired.
In previous years, I renewed my rent on the second week of the beginning of the month so that I don't send a signal of abundance on my side. Sometimes, I pay in arrears even when the money is there.
I was surprised that after making the payment, I got a notification of increment of rent effective from January, 2022.
My family has been very peaceful tenant since we parked in. I have thought through the notice to find the best way to approach him to withdraw the increment without him giving me an option to park out if I am not comfortable.
Please advise me on the best approach to use in this situation. Okay, now I see the bolded. Honestly, you don't have a case here. You have an entire year notice. Inflation and bad economy have also caught up with house rent. I'm afraid there's nothing you can do to stop the increment. |
Properties › Re: How Do I Approach My Landlord To Withdraw The Increment In Rent? by SavageMaster: 3:20pm On Jan 05, 2021 |
Well...the rent increase is expected, bearing in mind the times we're in. However, he should have given notice of the proposed increase around September/October last year, instead of waiting till January.
You may not succeed in getting him cancel the increment.
Two options I see here: 1) Ask him for more time to pay up the balance. Since you've been paying your rent on time, I guess he'll oblige.
2) You can calculate the number of months the amount you've already paid will cover, based on the new rent. Once it elapses, you pack out. However, you should discuss this with him, to be sure both of you are on the same page.
3) Well, you may still ask go ahead and ask him to hold off with the increment, but I guess he also increased the rent for everybody, not just for you. Whether he'll grant your request or not, I can't tell. But you have to discuss maturely with him |
