There was a pigeon that laid 2 eggs at my balcony and I intend selling the eggs.

The eggs are whitish in colour, the very rare type of eggs.
I would be selling it #100 000 per egg. If interested pm me.

If you want the pigeon too, it goes for #250 000 as it's a symbol of wealth, only owned by the high and mighty.

Spoilers please stay away.
Who told you that pigeon eggs cost that much?

laivwire:
WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING

Don’t. It is the most difficult thing you’ll ever do in your life. Here are a few reasons;

You will be lonely most of the time,
Your loved ones will hate you,
Your friends will pull you down,
You’ll cry at nights,
You will fail. A lot,
The reward will be much less than what you work for and,
90% of what you do will not be seen by anyone. Do you want all that effort to go unnoticed?
Okay, now that the warnings are out of the way let’s answer your question,

Starting a business requires a recipe and here are the ingredients:

1. VISION
Every business starts with an idea but notice I didn’t write the word ‘IDEA’ in bold but ‘VISION’ because idea does not matter, your vision does. Let me tell you a little secret: Your idea is not unique. Chances are, someone has already done something about your idea and has a finished product. But let me tell you another secret: Your vision is unique. What you do with the idea makes all the difference aka your vision. No one can come close to the vision you have with your idea. Focus on the vision, not the idea. Protect your vision and sell the idea.

2. RESEARCH

You have a great idea and a great vision to go with it, great. You have done 0.0000001% of the work. Next comes research. This is probably one of the most important ingredients as it defines the direction your business will go. Do market research, a lot of it, every day and know your consumer base. Don’t ask random people whether your idea will work or not because they don’t know. They are as clueless as you. Ask that one friend who is always brutal and let him/her visualize your idea fully and get his feedback instead. Do a lot of research on your own and see similar businesses in your area and see how they are doing and what makes you different. The last thing you want is to create a product no one needs. sad

3. TEAM

If you think you are going to have a one-man show then I have some bad news for you. Don’t start alone. Find people and reach out to them. Be shameless in asking for their help. Most will leave you after wasting some of your time but it’s all part of the process. Keep moving from one co-founder to another and eventually you will find that one guy who is your soulmate. Build a great team that shares the same vision as yours. Debate over the idea and look into it from someone else’s perspective.

4. LEARN

Business is a form of art and should be treated as such. Learn everything you can that will help you in developing a great business. Read books, listen to podcasts and follow mentors. The more you work on yourself, the more clear you are with your vision.

5. IGNITION

Start. Wherever you are, just start. Don’t wait for the perfect moment, it will never come. Take small steps, you are still a beginner. Make little improvements every day and gain momentum.

6. MVP

Build a product, any product. Don’t try to make it perfect, just build it and launch it in the market. Get user feedback and improve. Introduce a working model and let the public roast you. Learn what works and what doesn’t. Make changes accordingly.

7. WORD OF MOUTH

Do you know the best form of marketing? Referrals. Not only the best but also the cheapest. Get the word out as much as you can by asking your customers to recommend you to their friends and friends of friends. Give them something in return like a gift card and they will happily market you. Win/Win for everyone.

8. BE COMPETITIVE

Be competitive in something. Price, quality, experience, service it doesn’t matter. If you can’t differentiate yourself neither can the consumers.

9. INVEST

Either you are bootstrapping your venture or you are getting funded by a Venture Capital fund, always invest the money you have in the right place. Make each naira count.

10. MICROSOFT EXCEL

Know your numbers. Study and read finance. Your business can be the coolest in the world but it still needs to fill the boring old spreadsheets. smiley

11. FOLLOW THE MONEY

Scale your business fast. The sooner you start earning money from your business the better. Keep improving your MVP (Minimum Viable Product) along the way. Keep your profits high and increase your consumer base as much as you can. Don’t forget old customers in the way, they are more likely to purchase from you again. Market your product and advertise it in every possible medium (Just not T-shirts and baseball caps or nairaland signatures undecided).

12. THE BIGGER PICTURE

This again goes back to the first ingredient. Don’t forget your vision along the way and stick to it. Pivot in your execution but not in a validated vision. A lot of companies did that and they failed. Build a brand image and let the world know what you stand for. A bad image is better than having none.

Good Luck!

I'm amazed that in the last few years Nigerians haven't woken up and seen the scam Alpari had been screwing traders with. I'd traded with them and lost over 20k Sterling and my brother who introduced me in2 FX trading 5 yrs ago must have lost around 250k Dollars.
Why, 'cos they a'int an ECN (ECN (Electronic Communication Network) where customers can trade on prices streamed by multiple large banks and prime brokers. They manipulate quotes, simple as that.
Myself and a group of friends are gathering enough evidence to take to the regulators here in d UK and sue their ass, ''watch this space'',
So, for u guys stil trading with Alpari, close ur a/c's and go find a decent ECN broker (fxcm, Dukoscopy (for large Classic a/c's ) or Saxobank. They're out there, u gats 2 just open ur eyes and don't jump into FX trading 'cos everyone else does it. I learnt my lessons and making a good living off trading nw.
What's the update on this matter?

Did you eventually sue them or where you just blowing off steam? grin

Romance › Re: Civil Servant Who Impregnated Mother-in-law During _omugwo_ Blames Rain*! by SavageResponse(m): 2:24pm On Aug 06, 2020
Damiakande:
O ga in Saturday Sun !!!

*CIVIL SERVANT WHO IMPREGNATED MOTHER-IN-LAW DURING _OMUGWO_ BLAMES RAIN*!

A civil servant in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Christopher Chori has confessed how cold weather during the rainy season made him to sleep with his mother-in-law, known as Mrs. Priscilla Kwange who came to babysit after the delivery of his new baby boy. This wrenching story has forced the father-in-law, Mr. Silvanus Kwange into lamentation on what to do with his wife who relocated from their family home in Taraba State to babysit for the son-in-law. For the seven months that Mrs. Kwange was babysitting for his son-in-law in Lafia, she did not meet or collabo with her husband.

The touching story reported in Saturday Sun followed the death after childbirth of Christopher Chori’s wife, known as Faith who is also the first daughter of Mr. Kwange. The late Faith was also Mrs. Priscilla’s step daughter as mrs Priscillia married Mr. Kwange after Faith’s mother died. Meanwhile, Priscilla’s marriage to Mr. Kwange of more than ten years has been barren. So when her step daughter, Faith died, her husband asked that she should go and babysit for Mr. Chori, a development that led to the sordid story.

As Mr. Kwange said: “It is about seven months that I have not seen her. We only talk on the phone". He continued “I know the importance of her coming to stay in Lafia for some period of time, to take care of the new born baby whose mother (who is my daughter) is late. I thought it was my own responsibility to help my son-in-law and the new baby of my late daughter. So, I allowed my own wife to come and help. Is that an offence?”

He continued “Two weeks ago, a friend ran into my wife in Lafia and called to tell me that he saw her with bulging stomach. I was speechless with shock and asked, how come? I didn’t want to believe it or confront her on the phone. She has been here since June last year. I decided to visit them to also see how the little boy is doing. I was coming with so much joy, not knowing that I was coming to meet disaster waiting for me. When I got to the house of my son-in-law, I met the shock of my life as I saw my own wife with a protruding stomach. I stood transfixed to the spot as I looked at her, trying to recall if there was any time she told me she was pregnant but I could not remember".......

........“I quickly asked my wife what happened and she broke down and confessed that Mr. Chori seduced her and they had sex and it became frequent and the result was the pregnancy. She started begging me for forgiveness. She said that she actually allowed him to have his way as a way of checking her Fertility Status and it turned out to be this way and that she refused to abort it because She Has Spent 10 Solid Years with me without a child. She said it is almost getting late as she is no longer getting younger"....

......“She pleaded with me not to cause her any embarrassment or disgrace by exposing her to ridicule and shame. She actually begged me to handle the matter in a mature way, but I’m yet to get out of the shock seeing my own wife impregnated by my own son-in-law. My anger knows no bounds. If it were during my days as a military man, I would have used my gun to kill the two of them, but if I do that now, I will be taking the law into my hands. What I will do now is to go back to Taraba. I have asked my wife not to come back to my house. As for Christopher Chori, I leave him to his conscience.”

His son-in-law, Chori on his part said:
“After the death and burial of my wife, my mother-in-law came to stay with me here in Lafia, to help look after the baby because my mother is no longer alive; she died many years ago. I work with one of the federal government agencies in Lafia. My younger sister who is equally staying with me is in SS2 and could not combine her studies with taking care of the baby. So my father-in-law asked his wife to come because his first wife who happens to be my real mother-in-law is late"......

......“I live in two-bedroom apartment. So when she came to take care of the baby with the assistance of my younger sister, I left one of the rooms for them to use while I stay in the other room but I come home regularly to check on them and to ensure that she does not lack anything especially when my younger sister is out in school".....

......“In the first one month of her stay with me, nothing happened but during the second month, which was July 2019, something happened that left me with so much guilty feelings. My sister went to school. I did not go to work that day, leaving me and my mother-in-law alone in the house. It rained the previous night all through and the weather was very cold. I was checking on them in their room to see how my newborn baby was doing. But when I opened the door, I was shocked to see my mother-in-law almost naked as she wore only lingerie with no underwear. I could clearly see the outline of her firm breasts and her private part"....

......“I tried to turn back but she said I should come in. When I hesitated, she walked up to me and grabbed me, asking me why I was behaving like a small boy. She asked whether she was not looking attractive to me. I told her I could not do what she had in mind with her as I saw her as my own mother as well as mother-in-law".....

.....“But she disabused my mind and insisted that I must sleep with her. As a human being, I fell for the temptation and slept with her that day, and somehow it continued at any given opportunity. It became a daily routine as I was not going to work regularly. As soon as my sister leaves for school and the boy is able to sleep, we would stay indoors and have sex all day and it later resulted in pregnancy but she refused to abort it"....

.......“She said she has been longing for a child of her own. I cannot but blame myself for falling into such a temptation but then the deed has been done. I feel very bad because there is no way my father-in-law would thump his chest and claim to be the owner of the pregnancy because she has spent some months in my house and she missed her period while staying here, not in her husband’s house. I’m confused at the moment. I don’t know what to do but the days ahead will surely bring a solution to this embarrassing situation."

Priscilla’s Justification:

“I’m not proud of myself because apart from being a housewife, the victim is my son-in-law. My reason for teasing him was to test my fertility status since there was a golden opportunity and sticking to my husband in the past ten years has not yielded any result. I wanted to be sure of where the problem lies. Unfortunately, I took in. It was a wrong decision but I didn’t want to take the risk of aborting the baby as it may not come my way again".....

........"Although, I didn’t want it made public, my husband has succeeded in exposing it. I admit I am guilty of allowing my son-in-law to impregnate me but I was also considering my condition, even though I never expected pregnancy to come. But since it has come, I will want to keep it even if he decides to push me out of his house, I can’t afford to die childless.” END OF STORY!

Care to judge dis matter my dear friends? Who is to be blamed here? Mr Husband who sent pretty young wifey to do 'Omugwo'? D Pretty barren Wifey who has been childless for 10 yrs? D Son in Law whose wife died nd needs 'collabo' so bad? The Wicked Rain nd Shameless Bad Weather? Or The Devil who brought temptation??

*Counsellors, what have you to say about this case?*
This is an old story.

How many times will you people recycle it?!
