Christianity EtcRe: Dominion City & RCCG: Changing Church As A Married Woman by Saynoomore: 8:28am On Jul 04, 2021
FirstSon01:
Some things ought to have been discussed before marriage so that issues like this can be avoided but the deed is already done and your husband doesn't seem understanding so carry your cross or fight back and still attend your church.
You are obviously not married! Or perhaps married but lucky to have found a good wife.

The truth is that a majority of these our women are deceptive. When desperately in need of a husby, they will agree to all "terms and conditions". When you bring up issues as this one up there, they'll even condemn their church and tell you they have, for long, been looking for a way out of their church. Some will modestly tell you that religion isn't a problem so long as we serve one true and living God, they can worship God anywhere! Others will agree to only visit their church very occasionally (e.g once in 6 months) - but all these are just to get to the alter and sign the dotted lines. AS SOON AS they get that wedding ring on their finger and pull that wedding gown (after wedding), they'll show you their true character by rebuffing all those terms they agreed to! They are schemers and scammers o! Forget all these complains they come here with. Every woman's complaints should be taken with a pinch of salt!

Bro consider other ways of getting the needed points. When I was filling my EE profile/submitting my application I submitted the list of my relatives (parents and siblings) along with their date of birth. In the future If anyone claims to be my relative they'd verify from my submission. Also look at the bigger picture, if their are many cases of relative fraud from Nigeria many genuine applicants may be affected
My own score is even 67, but I wouldn't blench at that thought of begging someone who is not a relation to stand in for me as a relation. That's simply unethical and if the lid is blown at anytime, could sabotage the entire effort, not just for the applicant but potentially also for other applicants from the country! However I have a cousin there whom I contacted, but he gave very flimsy excuse and I let him be. I understand Nigerians don't believe in standing in for their own relation especially as we regard success as competition and unhealthy rivalry. I just let his cold refusal slide. I'm learning French now. What will be will be!
SportsRe: Please Am I The Only Guy Who Doesn't Have Much Interest In Watching Football ?? by Saynoomore: 3:43pm On Jun 20, 2021
I don't waste my time watching it. Infact I can't fathom how people sit staring at men making their outrageous huge sums of money and amassing wealth from soccer, while they hail and worship them. It's crazy as far as I'm concerned. Some even engage in physical squabbles and fight those who don't support their soccer heroes...I keep asking if they get paid as well from the humongous salaries these footballers earn! I will only start taking football serious and devote my time to watching the game when my account starts getting credited from every earnings made by those footballers. Until then, make them they run up and down for their own money, while I also find a means to rally round for my own. Simple!

Are you using 6months average or gift deed?
Average of what exactly?

Please I don't understand this one again. I thought all one needs is to simply have the required POF in acct balance over a 6months period or a gift deed. Are you also required to take the average of the specific POF and spread over the 6months? undecided

Do you think am makinga mistake..and am a guy
Except you just have a passion for it! In any case, if you settle for this job, be ready to face the retardation in financial progress that comes with it. Research income would have been a way out, but FG isn't interested in funding research! Over 85% of the society and the students you teach, won't appreciate your hard labour, rather they'll worship entertainment and seek ways to get rich quick such as cybercrimes. Many of us aint happy we chose that path. The rewards are extremely paltry!

Beautiful.
Absolutely gorgeous! A country ranked as a low income country but making critical, conscious and strategic efforts towards national development! Brazil, Chile and many other south American countries as well as Asian countries are making giant strides to join the league of first world countries anytime soon! Very commendable!

Those who get snaky and irritated by constructive criticisms should please get a sturdy rope and a stool to do the needful with their ceiling fan as quickly as possible.

spouse is the PA as she has age on her side. The other spouse which is him does not need work experience evidence.
I was inquiring in a case where the spouse is not the PA e.g Husband (P.A with a formal job) wife (petty trader without all these plenty documentation)

N.B: P.A is Principal Applicant (which could be husband or wife)
Spouse: is any of the two who is not the PA

1. Wife practicing on her own on a part time basis. This is self employed.

If the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).

2. Volunteer experience don’t count as work experience.

3. Working with family business without pay means you are volunteering. You might want to get an employment contract and ask them to start paying you.
Sorry pls, just a question,
I was simply wondering that since the spouse employment status does not really contribute any significant score, can't this field be left blank? or simply indicate "Not Applicable (NA)" . The stress of the documentation seems worthless considering the fact that spouse's employment status does not add any meaningful point. Is this a compulsory requirement? Can't I just say my spouse sits at home and helps with the kids? undecided

It took about 4 months before mine was acknowledged due to the backlog they have. I always advice anyone who intends to send transcripts to iqas to do so via email...A friend of mine sent hers via email and it was acknowledged in 24 hours.
Not talking about IQAS. I'm not a Lawyer. I was asking about US Police Certificate! The process demands fingerprinting. Is there anywhere the fingerprinting can be neatly done in Lagos? or do they have accredited centres/locations in Lagos?

My issue now is when filling my profile will i be asked for her date of birth and again will me using 1987 as her date of birth affect us or not? I am the principal applicants here. Pls I will like your advice
Yes! it will certainly affect you! Ensure you rectify the inconsistency!

Definitely not easy......no one tries to pretend that it is.....it may mean taking the TEF exams multiple times.

If people give up because of cost, I can totally understand, but to say "languages are not my strong point".....I don't buy that at all, at all.

Many things in life are tough and we plough through because of the end result. E easy to carry another human being for 9 months?? E easy to wake by 4am and reach house back for 11pm?? E easy to dey work and no collect pay for 6 months?? My thinking is that the people who are taking and passing TEF exams after 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 attempts (yes some people have done it 5 times!) don't have 2 heads......the fact that we even attended Uni and came out with a BSc (even 2:2 or 3rd class) means we can apply ourselves to learn.

To be fair though, we are all different and want different things in life......for some people Candaian PR is a good to have (if it happens, great..... if not, great).......for others "they die there"........those are the ones that will not give up. Me, I will continue to loud French & tell as many people about it. It may not be your cup of tea, but please na God I take beg you, don't discourage others. Please I am not a tutor o and I don't have a school...Alliance Francais and IEF are your sure plugs!

Your admonition is encouraging, albeit harsh in a way! My comments were not targeted at dissuading or discouraging anyone! If anything, the desire to have the option of a PR in a developed world is not only gratifying, but worth fighting for, especially when one considers the current torrents of political, social, and economic quagmire our Leaders have plunged us into!

I guess I just have to take this TEF bull by the horn!

Merci beaucoup! grin

This French thing no easy abegi! Tried learning it. It's tough!

My current CRS is 450 with spouse (Bsc only, and not really keen). I'm PA, but have lost a lot of points due to age: 38.
Just looking for a way through this stuff. I've got no relation in Canada. My score would have been far less than 450 , if I hadn't a Ph.D! I wish I listened to my friends and applied for this EE thing immediately after I finished my Ph.D. 8yrs ago! undecided
I was procrastinating and hoping Nigeria would get better someday! Now, see what my patriotism has caused me! grin

The most u can do with a six month TRV is to try to find an employer that is willing to do lmia & work permit for you. It’s a long shot but with the right plan & good networking it’s possible
Thanks for your response and suggestion.

BTW, my line of work is actually among the list of jobs exempt from LMIA. My confusion now is that the IRCC website states, 'the LMIA exemption is for only 120days'. ..with a possible extension of either 15 or 30 days. Does this mean I must secure a job within the 120days? If I do, am I eligible for normal (more than 120days) LMIA? would I be asked to relinquish the job and go back to my country since I'm only a visitor, and the original plan was not to come and work beyond 6 months? sorry for the many questions.
