You guys amaze me, few months after you all vote PDP back, i am sure you will be back here complaining how wrong PDP is. . bla bla

For all you guys, Atiku was a customs officer before retiring and going into politics, neither did he start as governor or local govt chairman. So nobody can say Ribadu doesnt have what it takes to become President

PLEASE EDUCATE ME WHEN ALL THE ZONES AGREED THAT ZONING IS BETWEEN NORTH AND SOUTH WITH THE SOUTH EAST IN DISAGREEMENT. PLEASE PROVIDE LINKS TOO.AND NOT BEER PARLOUR RHETORIC. NO OFFENCE INTENDED
Addressing a news conference in Abuja on his selection as the compromise aspirant of the Northern Leaders Political Forum, the former vice-president said this was because Jonathan was aware of an existing agreement within the party to rotate power between the North and South. He said zoning had become part of Nigeria’s political culture, adding that this was why the PDP zoned the office of President to the South in 1999.

In 2002, Abubakar said an expanded caucus of the PDP reaffirmed the zoning of the Presidency to the South for another four years, after which it would be the turn of the North for eight years
“Our current President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, was present at that expanded caucus meeting and voted in support of zoning.
- Punch News

After 8 yrs of OBJ (SOUTH), Yaradua (NORTH) was president and following that it was suppose to be Jonathan (SOUTH) 2015- but we know thats the north playing tricks Again!

also from the horses mouth (Atiku)-

“That was why in the First Republic, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe from the South was ceremonial President, Tafawa Balewa from the North was the Prime Minister and other key positions went to people from various ethnic and religious groups. We maintained that tradition under military rule and through all civilian administrations. - Punch news

Sjeezy turned Sbeezy you sound very naive all the time with your very dumb statements. So because he is born to immigrant french parents, he is not an African? It might interest you to know that Africa is not a country, ethnicity or even race , it is a continent and people born and bread from that continents are called Africans be you Negro, Caucausion or any of those racial classifications, so don't tell me Albert Cadmud is not African because he looks white, majority of the people from Northern Africa are not negros, Egypt that we always use as a point to show that Africans have had civilization way before we were colonized is predominantly Arab that does not make them any less African. I bet you are not more African than Zinadine Zidane of Algeria neither is that white gurl more American than your black a$s.
Zinadine Zidane is berber Albert cadmus is french european.

Ive always said you are an idio.t Albert Cadmus was born to french immigrants so hes not north african, berber or arab but French. No shiot north africans are not black but this guy is not a north african. As his parents were part of the colonial french society.

Albert Camus was a "Pied-Noir"

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, it refers to "a person of European origin living in Algeria during the period of French rule, especially a French person repatriated after Algeria was granted independence in 1962."

PoliticsRe: Our Deal With Jonathan, By Igbo Leaders by sbeezy8: 6:56pm On Nov 22, 2010
Thats the problem IF there is zoning the north believes it is between north and south not 6 zones, Jonathan said there is no zoning so would make the SE or north think it will come to any of them automaatically?

Everything in Nigeria is north and south 4 get all the BS, zones exists really in the south . the zoning that "was before" was based on agreement of all political zones. the difference is the NORTH which has 3 zones said its based on North and South, Obj returned power back to the north which implied to them it was north vs south. After yaradua it was suppose to be Jonathan (SS) which also says its between north and south.

SE zone has a problem when there was zoning NC+NW+NE+SS+SW saw the zoning between north and south- thats clear.

NO ONE GEOPOLTICAL ONE CAN SET TERMS FOR ZONING. and all geopolitical zones (except SE) before the death of yaradua implied it based on North vs South.
PoliticsRe: 2011: Jonathan, Ohanaeze Leaders Plot Against North by sbeezy8: 3:45pm On Nov 22, 2010
My prediction for PDP primaries in 2015 or 2019 when ever jonathans term ends

East president with North VP. . . . with no zoning as GEJ said North will definately support their own Northern apirant.
vs
North president with East VP . . . . but the north knows that the east will not settle for vp so . . it will be
North president with West VP.

this is PDP primaries. and we not talking bout zoning  cause that'll be dead thats just how it'll be.
____________________________________________________________
at this point there will probably be a VERY WEAK PDP cause North or East will probably dump PDP if there candidate doesnt win PDP presidential ticket.

as for the country

There will be presidential aspirants from all over the country North West East and South South. so theres NO automatic ticket for anyone its really up in the air.

cool Theres the West not satisfied with Objs years so there will definately be one- Fashola maybe Tinubu etc

wink Theres the East who are expecting to be president- Martin elechi, one of the obis, etc all the igbos who want to be president

grin There the SS those who will not be satisfied with GEJ ( countless non ijaw)- Oshiomole, Donald Duke etc

cheesy There the north hungry for presidency as always - Sambo, ANPP's candidate, CPC's own along with the MANY who want to take a shot
PoliticsRe: 2011: Jonathan, Ohanaeze Leaders Plot Against North by sbeezy8: 2:53pm On Nov 22, 2010
Please I am a Jonathan supporter But to support him because he said he will "handover" presidency to the SE or North is just dumb

hehe Northerners think he will hand over back to the North while  some think 2015 others are saying when he 2019, and There is no doubt that Niger deltans will want him to do two terms.

See Namadi Sambo - does he looks like he doesnt expect to be president after Jonathan? He wants to be president after GEJ be it in 2015 or 2019 duh
https://www.nigerianinquirer.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Kaduna-State-Gov.-Sambo.jpg

as for GEJ hes my guy but hes being dishonest to the north and East he didnt say he will handover to either, cause he cannot. How can East become pdp flag bearer in 2015 without support from the bearly existing PDP west (getting ready to be taken over by ACN) or the north who want pesidency in 2015 also? LOL its impossible.

as for the West the PDP west will support Jonathan cause PDP is its party But not yoruba people as whole IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. but I dont see PDP existing in the West after Jonathan.
already GEJ is acting like Obsanjo by witholding funds from ekiti because it is now an ACN state So what makes anyone think we will vote for PDP in the future?

News Nov 6, 2010 By  FESTUS AHON

A governorship aspirant in Delta State, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, yesterday, registered with the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, after decamping from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, last Monday.

Speaking during the formal registration ceremony in his home town, Orhomuru-Orogun, Omo-Agege said like the Christian soldiers, he and his supporters  were on the march from political Egypt to the promise land.

He said: “Today, we depart Egypt as the umbrella is torn asunder by strife, conflict, confusion, and disunity. Today, we march onward to victory into the land of the progressives with internal democracy, rule of law and cohesion as the watchwords of the new platform-Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.

“We hearken to the voice of our people that never again shall a cabal seize the destiny of the state and hold it thralldom. We sweep away bad government, corruption, oppression, suffering, incompetence, chicanery and god-fatherism.

“There is no doubt that over the years, going through the painful twist and turns of history, Deltans have become overwhelmed by the burden of disillusionment.”

But we are an ever optimistic people who believe that the sun of greatness shall shine on Delta State.
“This optimism has kept the hope and aspiration of our people alive. Today, our dear people have joined forces with the progressives marching to victory through Lagos, Ekiti and Edo with big contest for Delta State in view.”

this argument of inexperience  about ribadu will be said about pat utomi

as we know no one wants to take the chance of president dying in office again. Nigerian politicians are now seeing VP as no longer Boy boy  position or used to get votes. It really matters on the VPs experience.

Ribadu and Pat utomi dont cut it both have to go win one lection in their state before thinking about presidency or VP.

Even if a SW vp is picked, you can be sure that GEJ would still wrestle at least 50% of the votes from SW. Then GEJ gets almost wholesale, the votes of SS and SE. NC and NE will be split between GEJ and the northern contender. The only zone he will let go will be NW .

For the presidential election , people will vote based on their perception of the candidate. For governorship it sure will be along party lines, this means that PDP might lose some SW states but GEJ would still get the votes in such states. Never underestimate the massive christian populace that will vote GEJ in lagos even when we know that AC almost has the governorship in the bag.
religion in lagos between either party doesnt matter because pdp members/supporters/govenor aspirants in lagos are muslims. example of lagos pdp top shotz- Aganga-williams muslim, Demola seriki muslim, Babatunde Gbadamosi (Badamosi) muslim,  Owolabi Salis muslim

so religion playing a part in GEJ winning votes in the SW or Lagos wont matter because those who are pdp lagos are muslim just like acn -they are even from the same hometowns. those who will vot for GEJ will be both christian and muslim. Those who will vote for ACN will be both chrsistian and muslim.
It will come down to the party not religion or region or ethinicity in this case. because neither president is yoruba. even if tinubu picks a vp from ss or se the sw will still be split over GJ.  because HALF alittle more(60%) want pdp out of government.

GEJ will mostlikely win 2011 but hes going to lose states the same time like i dont see pdp in existance after GEJ wins. massive decamps everywhere ND,SE.NS.NW,SWNE. and not because of GEJ but because PDP was built lies can you imagine all the igbos and northerners who will want GEJ to step down in 2015 for either of them? LOL its going to be FUNNY.

northerner are expecting to have a president after GEJ and igbos also lol
THERE ARE MANY NORTHERNERS AND IGBOS EXPECTING THE PRESIDENCY in 2015 -thats why many are voting for him in 2011
i think its funny

xoxo, :
Correct.

GEJ already has a lot of sympathy votes due to him being a SS man. As  Nigerians it is undeniable that some injustice has been done to them as to the development of their communities. Many Nigerians (SE,SW,SS n some parts of the North)  will vote simply for this reason; the believe that SS finally deserves a chance to rule. This already gives jonathan an edge over NR and Buhari.

But I dont buy that. If the north which has ruled more than any zone in this country produces a good candidate then vote I shall and vice versa, if SS produces a less than competent candidate, then i wont vote him and vice versa.  Simply put, all powers that be need to unite so the PDP monster can be eradicated from our Beloved Country. Though even if they unite its still not going to be an easy battle but it would definitely loose PDP some seats in the House and some States. And That I believe would be a giant leap in the cleansing  of this country.
see the only problem is i havent seen any nothern guys who can go against jonathan like really even ribadu is sooooo random.  i see jonathan winning 2011
but there def be nore pdp after GEJ

I think you're overestimating the influence of Tinubu. As much I detest these ethnic categorizations, I have to agree with Ezeuche on this one. If ACN wants to show itself as a truly national party and not the play thing of Tinubu, the 'southern progressive' you described above should be of Igbo extraction, for only then will it be able to present a formidable challenge against the PDP.
Wrong in 2007 atiku ran alongside ben obi from anambra on AC platform -WHICH SAYS ACN IS A NATIONAL PARTY. and it didnt WORK. Atiku even came in third, they played that "igbo card" and it failed, tho there was rigging, AC lost mainly because PDP,APGA,PPA are more dominant in SE.

best option tinubu has it to pick a vp from edo or sw WHERE HIS PARTY ALREADY EXISTS AND CAN WIN VOTES. ACN has no footing in the SE, its growing in the SW and edo.
It would be dumb for ACN to pick a vp from a region where they are not relevant and expect people to vote them just because its n igbo man on the ticket.

jonathan/pdp is winning all SE votes against any notherner point blank, but in the SW he cannot win more than half if anything against ACN.

Gbawe:
That is fine. I also think Buhari has the makings of a good leader. We must however ask ourselves why it is Ribadu , the "inexperienced newcomer" who is giving GEJ , an incumbent President , the greatest challenge according to every poll Nigerians have participated in to date ? I think Nigerians are ready for a change . They wan't a bright future . They wan't modern and internationally acceptable leaders the entire world will respect. If we inspect the relevant parameters we will see that Ribadu is the leader who can , locally and internationally, gain the support required to defeat the PDP Vampires to set Nigeria on the path of progress . Buhari , on Nairaland or elsewhere has not won a single popularity poll. Buhari may be popular in the North but the effort to defeat the PDP will require a candidate who , with the right support, can become all things to all to Nigerians . Ribadu is the man. I respect Buhari but I feel he will fall short if we pay attention to how Nigerians are thinking currently.

ACN has three states and will not merge its slf under CPC which was created less than 6 months ago.

Tinubu is smarter than that esp with him and akande along with lai stressing the need of a youthful president.

Buhari May Clinch CPC Ticket Dec. 22 .

Monday, 08 November 2010 03:02 Shuaib Shuaib, Abuja   . .The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has rescheduled its presidential primaries for December 22, 2010, when it will most likely elect former military head of state Gen Muhammadu Buhari as its presidential candidate.  So far, Buhari is the only aspirant that has shown interest in running for president on the platform of the party.

In a letter dated October 28, 2010, and addressed to the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the chairman of the CPC, Sen Rufai Hanga, explained that changes in dates for the party primaries, congresses and convention were as a result of the ongoing registration which is expected to  entrench internal democracy in the party.

Under the new timetable, the primaries to elect governorship candidates and those for the Senate, House of Representatives and state houses of assembly will hold on December 18, 2010.

The most fierce competition for a single CPC ticket is the December 18 race for the governorship ticket of Kano State which the party chairman along with Muhammad Abacha, former military administrator of Kaduna State Ja’afaru Isa, former deputy governor of Kano Magaji Abdullah and House of Representatives member Hon Farouk Lawan are contestants.

Delegates to the state congresses and national convention will be elected on December 1, 2010 at the local government area congresses where members of the local government executive committees will also be elected.

The party will on December 29 hold  a national convention to ratify the elected presidential candidate, and an earlier convention on December 15, 2010, to elect members of the party’s National Executive Committee.

State congresses to elect members of the State Executive committes will hold on December 8,2010, while the registration exercise for new members has been extended by a week and will now end on December 14, 2010.

Meanwhile, the national publicity secretary of the party, Dennis Aghanya has said the party, unlike other political parties, is determined to adhere strictly to INEC guidelines and hold congresses in every state of the federation.

Aghanya said, “Adhering to that principle, we are doing everything possible to adhere to INEC’s instruction that all parties must hold congresses to elect substantive leaders before primaries.

“Our leader, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, launched our new membership registration cards, setting the pace for a new membership drive for the party to ensure that all members and intending members are not in any way denied registration. Without creating a level playing field for the membership of the party, electing new leaders and subsequently primaries will be faulty.”
He added, “Our new membership registration exercise commenced on the 30th of October nationwide, and was also recently extended by another one week. The exercise will now close on the 14th of November 2010. Nigerians should avail themselves of this opportunity to join the CPC and participate in effecting the desired change.”
