My dear, don't risk your life for nothing. If you are graduating with at least a 2:1. Register if you are not on twitter and follow people like Dr Muyiwa, Oludeewon, plan and apply for postgraduate scholarship, engineering is heavily funded. In the mean time you can get a laptop, learn a tech skill like programming, data science. There are several threads on Nairaland. Don't sacrifice your life for nothing |
I have been an active follower of this thread, after few starting to learn on and off, the Sidehustle internship with data Analytics track has made me focused and serious now. Moving gradually from Excel - PowerBI and hoping to move along to SQL and then python. This thread is a good motivation, thanks to the Op and others that have shared their story |
Good afternoon everyone, does the UK have any private loan offer like mpower and prodigy finance for USA schools. Has anyone here been able to utilize any private loan facility for UK postgraduate studies |
If you are active on twitter, you will know Alt_school has gained massive popularity and support from senior tech founders in Africa. Some people sponsored over 200 women to register, another did same for Ghanaians and someone else did for another African country. They have Angel Investors funds and massive support from many tech founders. If you are truly an interested, apply for it. You will be sent learning material for the screening test, I am in the health sector and transitioning to tech with their training. |
Melbrom:yes, there are many people from Delta who schooled in Uniben that are in Issele-uku camp right now |
11Anonymous:. Thank you |
Please who knows how I can stop this annoying advert that keep coming on my notification most times. It pops up on my Redmi 10 a lot

09085607453king:First thing, difficulty in passing urine does not equal Gonorrhea. N.gonorhhea is not a common Sexually transmitted disease as many think. You may be having inflamed bladder, kidney stone, enlarged prostate or other Urinary tract infection/ Sexually transmitted infection. Go to a hospital, so you can be seen by a doctor and sent to do the necessary tests or at least go to a standard diagnostic Centre and do a urine culture test. Even if the result comes out and you have an STI, it may have been from other source not necessarily your wife as I am sure you were Sexually active outside since you were not having intercourse with her. |
If you have not still gone to toilet by now. Go to a pharmacy and get liquid paraffin. Take like two teaspoon of it. It is does digestible by the body and will lubricate your small intestine as it comes out, softening your stool |
genius43:Thanks but I cannot seem to find it there |
Please I need a guide on how to set holding the home button for long to lock phone instead of using the power button. I was using it on my RN9s that was stolen. Can't figure it on this RN10 |
enesty:Msc Biomedical science but what is your undergraduate course of study?. If it is Medical lab science you can directly do HCPC registration with IBMS Uk and apply for NHS Jobs after your masters. If it is not, then you need to contact IBMS and know the top courses you should do to be eligible |
med123:there is a whatsapp group for young Med lab scientist edo. Are you a scientist in Benin? |
I am having exact same problem with them. Their app always have issues and when you pay offline it won't reflect. They will continue To add interest on the loan. Only loan app that will give you peace is Carbon |
DisGuy:Yes the University is charging international students same fee as local student for masters in 2022/23 session |
Bambyte:I am waiting for Hull to update their fees for 2022/23 intake and hoping it remains at same level with UK citizens as it was this year. I want to apply for Msc Biomedical science, planning on using student loan and work to slug it out. I am a medical lab scientist and will complete my portfolio there to work in UK NHS hopefully if things work out well. |
Please has anyone here done DIY through the Benin city office, let me know if to proceed or not. Any feedback as per how the Benin centre runs, I don't want to apply and end up not getting my passport in months |
gaftsoil:lol every lab scientist pays annual dues does not matter if you are working or not and every lab pays council for registration. This is not about money, what they are talking of is ISO international standard accreditation and only few labs have it. Infact I think only Airforce Military Hospital lab Lagos is the only Govt among them |
RENOWNED2:I am in touch with my undergraduate supervisor. She is the one to do the entire article submission to Journals. My own part is to present the work and correct where necessary |
I am a medical lab scientist with a tech flair and this is my humble advice: take up your MLS in the university program and you can still be learning coding while in school. It will be demanding with classes, lab posting, practicals but you have people are who are working and still surviving medicine, pharmacy, MLS etc. You can delve into programming for health tech platform and your medical background will be a major boost. There are many people out there with Bachelors in Pharmacy, medicine and other health courses are who are fully into tech now and their background health knowledge gives them an edge when it comes to programming for health related fields and projects . |
She can also try Southern warm areas in US like California by taking the USA RN pathway and relocate there, USA pays better than Canada, UK for Nurses and she can go for weekend swim in florida beaches ![]() |
Influential101:With a canadian Bachelors in Nursing and registration as a Nurse in Canada, it will be easy for her to apply for a job and return if she wants to. Good thing she is in a profession she can move to other countries easier than many people, let her do her nursing UK registration, apply for NHS jobs and relocate if she UK is where she wants to be, in few years she will still get UK passport |
Seems this thread is unusually quiet and calm. Fall 2022 hopefuls this is time to start preparation. Let us all keep this thread active. Let me introduce myself a little Undergraduate profile: Bachelor of Medical lab science (4.17/5.0 GPA), unofficial transcript in progress, recommendation letters in progress. Compiling all necessary materials and plan for GRE/TOEFL although lots of program are waiving this already, I still plan to write if I can afford it within sept/october. Applying for : PhD in: Molecular Biology, Tumor biology, Translational oncology, Biomedical sciences. Publications: none yet, working on getting my undergraduate thesis published |
johnsonm2g:I know all DE candidates write exam but I have no idea how the exam is like and how many candidate they take. |
Unigrad:Yes I did |
Adex16:Medicine and surgery do pathology which deals on the clinical aspect of laboratory tests and has nothing to do with how tests are done. There is no where in medical school that staining procedure for demonstration of glycogen in tissue is taught or how to carry out test for LE cells. Same way they do pharmacology which is just an aspect of what pharmacy do in school. They don't do and never do what you do in school. If a doctor claims he do all you did in school, give him a blood sample and neubaeur counting chamber let him do WBC count on the sample ![]() |
Mimiebrown:If you have calculated the cost implication and money is not a problem then look for courses in areas of : cancer therapy, molecuar oncology, drug design among others. There are hundreds of courses you can do at MSC level with a Pharmacy degree not just masters in Pharmaceuticals |
Our ogas here, I think money can be made here. Waiting for analysis
