Jobs/VacanciesRe: Have You Ever Quit Your Job Without Having A Back Up Plan? by Scholarforever: 7:10pm On Feb 21, 2016
blackprowler:
You think back-up plans are foolproof? Yea, I quit my well-paid job, my back-up plan crashed and I don't have money now. No, I don't regret quitting my job as I had many many years to think about it. In Nigeria I know your logic is to regret an action if your subsequent hopes don't pan out. That's wrong. They don't have to be linked necessarily. I'm a much much better person and know a lot more today than I would if I stayed on the job. What just remains is that spark of opportunity and all the equipping I've been doing on myself will bear fruits - and it will come. I do not go after the money as most Nigerians; I go after my personal happiness and contentment. Some jobs force you to live a lie, and I'm just not that kind of person
I can't agree with u more. In fact my experience is similar to yours and I am not regretting my decision in any way. One thing is certain, before d end of this year I will become an entrepreneur. Nothing good comes easy.
Nairaland GeneralMy Former Employer Feels Reluctant To Pay My Gratuity by Scholarforever(op): 2:19pm On Feb 19, 2016
Fellow Nairalanders pls I need your candid advice. I resigned from a reputable private school in July 2015 as a classroom teacher. Though not much, I am entitled to a gratuity of over 400,000 naira. As I write this, d owner has only paid me 180,000 naira. Pls I need your advice on d steps I can take to collect my balance. For your information, I have my appointment letter with me.

CelebritiesRe: Video: Adewale Ayuba Coverts To Christianity! Watch His Testimony by Scholarforever: 1:46pm On Feb 12, 2016
kimond101:
Indeed God guides whom he wills to the straight path.
I was born a muslim, I went in search for the truth( I became a christian for a while then I reverted back to Islam because I found the truth in Islam) by the favour of God.
I do not worship the created (Jesus), I worship the creator (God).
There's no compulsion in religion. If Dr Ayuba feels christianity is where the truth he found is, we all would know on the day of judgement.
People convert daily from Islam to christianity and likewise from Christianity to Islam. But the truth stands clear from falsehood.
One of d truths which I know God will reveal to us when d time comes is that nobody has d right to force his religion down d throat of another man and sentence d man to death if he refuses. I am sure God will also be willing to let us know that he is powerful enough to fight for himself without d help of any man. As for Ayuba this is not news. He has tilted towards Xtianity for long. I know this because I was once his daughters' teacher.
Christianity EtcRe: Chris Okotie: 'Buhari’s Battle Against Grex Venalium' by Scholarforever: 3:05pm On Feb 10, 2016
TippyTop:
Dear Chris Okotie
Stealing people's wives/money and charging people for tithes is also corruption/sin in the eyes of our lord and saviour.
Those who pay tithes do so on their own volition. Mind u, we have Xtians who don't pay tithe. I am not a fan of Pastor Chris but I support his views on this issue of corruption. I am apolitical but I daily pray for Buhari's success in his governance. Mind you, I am not saying he is perfect, no one is, not even you. When we see people who support accountability d best we can do is to encourage them. This is d only WAY to d Nigeria of our DREAM.

PoliticsRe: Tope Aluko Escape DSS Arrest As Channels TV Staff Helps Him by Scholarforever: 8:26pm On Feb 01, 2016
The true test of a man's integrity is not about where he stands when the odds are in in his favour but when the odds are actually against him. Nobody would hear this from Aluko if Fayose had compensated him with a juicy post.

I'll rather u address d message carried by d letter and leave d messenger alone. How do u marry d humongous sum spent on our NASS with their little or no impact on d welfare of d masses. I recommend only one legislative arm operating on a part time basis as d way to go for Nigeria. With this we will no longer have our former governors transforming into senators after an 8-year tenure as a governor.

Even in Israel, there are Muslims, and in Saudi Arabia's Mecca, there are Christians. Nature is balanced, if you must leave in a balanced society, the contents must be balanced as well. Everyone must be under surveillance. Abi shey na Muslim kill over 20 students and then himself for one of the schools in US last year?
I don't have anything against Islam but those who practise it. I believe that religion is a personal thing and no one has d right to force his belief down the throat of another. I see Islamic bigots (Alshabab, Book Haram, IS, ...) as a threat to d world security not only d US.

I still don't understand the importance of this obas other than upholding incongruous culture & traditions.

They haven't brought about any progress or development in any shape or form whatsoever. They probably lack ideas. Most of them are divisive figures and political arse lickers, the reason they are pawns in the hands of robber politicians in the scheme of things.

Corrupt Obas.

cool
Before the advent of British colonialism, these obas were in total charge of their subjects. Criminals were rightly punished either directly by d kings or by invoking d wrath of d gods. Honesty was esteemed. Questionable wealth was disdained. Virgins were celebrated. Rape was a taboo. To me d only minus to their rule was d practice of human sacrifice. Despite their lack of formal education then they ruled so efficiently that Lord Lugard had to coopt them into his governance through his Indirect Rule System. Going by your moniker a derogatory statement such as u have above calls to question your right to go by such a moniker. Kabiyesi oo Oonirisa. kade pe Lori ki bata pe lese. Ki irukere o dokini. PoliticsRe: Ashimolowo To Buhari: Looters Deserve Only 20% Of Your Time by Scholarforever: 9:40am On Jan 13, 2016
D way some Nigerians reason when a personality they fanatically follow is advised leaves much to be desired. I like Buhari too and hardly will a day pass without praying for him during my family devotions. Ashimolowo did not condemn d fight against corruption he only said d fight should not rob d other campaign promises of APC d attention they rightly deserve. Genuine progress can only come when d past, d present and d future are taken care of.

PoliticsRe: Yes We Spent 82million On Soyinka But......nddc Boss by Scholarforever: 3:17pm On Jan 12, 2016
wirinet:
Yes o. That is the Nigerian Constitution. The state are not obliged to give account of their expenditure to anybody, not even the federal government. As long as the expenditure is bugdeted for by the state assembly, there is nothing anybody can do.
Are u aware that no state can take any foreign loan without d ratification of fed govt? I understand that states enjoy autonomy but d state assembly which has d right to question the governors has been reduced to a mere puppet in all d Nigerian states. D expenditure in question ought to have been queried by d legislature that worked with Amechi.
PoliticsRe: Yes We Spent 82million On Soyinka But......nddc Boss by Scholarforever: 9:19pm On Jan 11, 2016
wirinet:
But Metuh did not say he spent 400 million organizing anything. Mrs. Ibim Semenitari has documents, invoices and receipts showing how the N85million was spent. Even though the amount is exhorbitant, it is covered. According to the Nigerian Federation, what a state decide to spend its money on is its own business, as long as it is legally covered.

Now, ask Metuh to show documents on how he spent N400 million of arms money meant to fight boko Haram. The money allegedly stolen by Metuh is Federal Money and not state money, so naturally the federal govenment would want to recover its stolen money.
In other words a state govt has d legal backing to spend its money anyhow. Is that what u are driving at?
PoliticsRe: Adopt Jonathan’s National Conference Report – Bakare Tells Buhari by Scholarforever: 2:27pm On Jan 11, 2016
Any rational thinker will see beyond ethnic bigotry and political acrimony to adopt any good report that will move Nigeria forward. I never knew TSA was GEJ's idea. It is a laudable policy. President Buhari please adopt that confab report and let us lay ethnic rivalry to rest. Think Nigeria first before you think APC. Peace thrives only in d atmosphere of equity.

On the hand your silence can also be linked to a personal ego which makes u think it is belittling for u you to stand and talk after sitting as a two-term senate president.
