1) John the baptist fulfilled his calling to pave the way for the miracle worker Jesus Christ. It was not his calling to perform miracles. When the Jews saw what Jesus was doing, they were amazed. They said they have never seen miracles such as these. Therefore Jesus' miracles were unique even to the blessed Jews. But we must remember that Jesus commanded that all his disciples/ministers/pastors whatever name one may care to use, will go and heal, deliver and bless.

2) Yes the devil/Lucifer/Satan/ has power, all spirits have power. All spirit activities can be classed as miraculous/supernatural or above scientific explanation. For the purpose here, I assume that you want to know if the dark spirits, especially Satan can do the same miracles that Jesus did or the same miracles that every true disciple of Jesus is doing till today. The answer is clear in the gospels. When Jesus was accused of doing the miracles by the power of Satan, He said to his learned accusers that Satan will never work against himself.
