First, University love.

I was in 300L, met ds Delta State 100l chick, igbo boi like me fell yakata for her. Did everytn to make her happy, joined frat(fine boiz),did assignments even exam impersonation. Bleeping was no problem and she doled out cash, but so many eyes were on her hence my excessive protection.

But by the end of 3rd year, it showed n my result. Imagine ds trend, 1st year 4.7 CGPA, 2nd year 4.5,3rd year 3.1.we continued till I graduated but had to give her space in final year, so I could grab the almighty 2.1.
She's married with a kid, but we are still friends(@ least on BB).

Second, NYSC luv.

Anoda Delta chick I met during youth service in a notorious town in Delta State, stayed back after service just to be with her(popsie/mumsy dey lag dey hala). Got a job der, worked for 2yrs, lost the jb, still stayed der doing nothing for 6months, finally got anoda job in lagos, walked up to d dreaded H.R mgr and asked to be transferred to dat same town..got the transfer. Phew.

3weeks to the exams, u should be rounding off your reading.

You should have started tackling pathfinder since early April, so as to read some of the difficult topics again.

Anyways, we all have different approach to reading.

I Was the last to be interviewed in both Banking Interviews. Those guys don taya gon, as they yawned all through...but I got both jobs @ their different times.

Den the Oil interview came up. Like a boss, I was the last to get to the venue, hoping I would be the last interviewee again. But Alas! I was the First. See sweat.

While we waited in a secluded hall(6 of us), I recognized one hot FCMB chick I saw during the aptitude test stage. I started toasting almost immediately(one staff said since we were just 6, we wud all get the job), so as to occupy space when we eventually start working.

'Mr Scobaba, you are the first, step out', d H.R guy said and I almost cried.

3guys(one, an italian) and a woman welcomed me.

For 45minutes ds people washed me with parazone super bleach.

I think I found favour thru God in the woman, cos she kept defending n re-explaning my answers to the italian. Lastly, the H.R guy who was quiet all along, said, 'young man, your answers all seem to me like guess work' and same woman replied him with 'yea, but most are correct'.

I left dem and got called for medicals 2weeks after. Sadly, my okpeke dint make it. Just me and one bad guy from standard chatered Bank.

You already have B.Sc and almost through with your ACA...good one.

If DB is not placing you in a core accounting dept like Finance/Planning, Accounts, Internal Control etc, pally forget it. If they send you to branch operations or marketing, u have no experience, even after working for 5/6 years. If you intend going deep in the Accounting Profession, den pally, Banking is not the place.

I worked with one of d merged banks in Delta State and lost d job during the 2009 right-sizing(as they called it). With my B.Sc, MBA(uniben) and ACA, I had difficulties getting anoda high flying job. Y? Cos I worked as a customer service officer all thru and I was 28 den(over age for entry level).
No Accounting firm wanted me cos even with my ACA, I did not have the requisite experience.

Though I currently work with a major oil exploration coy but It was possible cos they did not specify entry level age, they were more interested in the prof qualification.

If you said PWC, Deloitte or KPMG gave you offer, dat would have made more sense. By den I would have supported OKIJA JUJU, who said you should defer the admission for 3 or 4yrs.

But in all, Put it in prayers and ask for God's guidance. Both are good offers.

A pal who worked with KPMG was on 6m per annum, he went for an interview with TOTAL oil for the post of JV Accountant. He gave dem ds same answer u did and he got the job, his per annum?....wait for it...17m per annum.

Most multinationals have a set amount for a particular position, oncee you meet other requirement, no matter how much you were earning, d job is urs.
