First, only and last tym I flew Dana, from abuja to lag sometime in july...I almost missed the flight, infact I was the last to board cos they had checked every other persons in. while I was running towards the plane, I was just asking myself...' guy no be die you dey run go die so'. Dat journey was the longest 55minutes of my life.

The owners should just leave naija and face kenya or some other country. People are really scared of their planes. They shud just go or face another trade. Aviation no be by force.

Mum.......died same day I did Best man for my hommie Stanley Ibekwe 2yrs ago.

Ise idongesit, my colleague whom I told to join a friend's car for my flatmate(colleague also) to join mine after my Branch Manager's Bday party 30th June 2008...dat friend( vwede) crashed his car and Ise died on the spot.

2yrs later...2010, dat vwede, got shot severally on his way back from club and died on the spot.( heard it was frat related also).

My classmate, hoodmate, colleague and bestie, Don Clet, crashed his car @ chevron round about and died on the spot. 1 year and 6 months after I'm still angry with Julian for showing me pix of clet's mangled corpse.

I remember how we all got deeply involved in school dance n drama stuff back in Unec(UNN). He actually joined the theatre group JFTG cos of a girl . Brother had no acting skills then but could dance.
His love for the stage grew and after our last paper(we read Accountancy), he asked me my future plans, playfully I said, 'bank, oil, telecom...anyone jare', he just said...'movies' and I laughed. That was in july, 2005.

Today he may not have gotten to his peak, but persistence, hard work and love for what you do.......pays!

It's no rocket science to explain why anyone would want to study petroleum engineering in Nigeria. In any case, even Microbiology and Fisheries grads are also trying to get into oil companies.

Forget what those guys mocking you are saying. In my office, we have a dept called Public Affairs/ Corporate image. Most of them there read mass comm, english, sociology and public admin. They even have more staff than my dept(finance).
I believe other big exploration firms have such depts, if not a stand alone dept, at least a small division in a large dept. But then, if you don't have connections @ least have a 2.1, dats a starting point. It's only in depts like engineering they consider 2.2 and it's mostly considered when the persons with such result are indegenes in the community where the particular company does most of its economic business.
