This is a welcome development. We really need abled bodied people on the commercial farms and in the villages farming.

Fashola has already started acquiring lands for farming in other states, the sae way Dangote is swallowing up land in Calabar for same.

I think it would be best if some of these "displaced" persons are offered careers in farming.

Wetin dem dey find for there anyway?

Too many agberos, bus conductors, drivers, artisans, mechanics, armed robbers etc in this our metropolis....

they need to be shown the door.

kudos to LASG
leave these people let them keep underestimating the strength of igbos in Lagos until pdp sees this your master stroke, capitalize and win Lagos by a landslide. Thank God fashola will not be a problem in 2015. Igbos own Lagos
Well I dont know about owning the whole of LAgos as you assert but igbos do own plenty houses in Ajao Estate (maybe due to its closeness in proximity to the airport in case they ever need to ja). Igbos also own/rent shops in Alaba, Idumota and LAdipo. As you can imagine thats not a lot of stuff to be claiming ownership of Las Gidi.

Akpan107: The Igbos are not claiming Lagos as their land the way the Fulanis are doing in Jos, Benue and other States. Take the IGBOS out of Lagos and Lagos would be a dead State Economically. Take the Fulanis out of PLATUE State and PLATUE would be a PEACEFUL STATE: HAVE NEVER HEARD OF AN IGBO MAN OR WOMAN THAT KILL A YORUBA MAN AND TAKE HIS LAND:::::::::::::::: MY KEY BOARD IS FOULTY: I CANT TYPE WELL
u obviously dont think before u talk. we appreciate and love the igbos in our southwestern lands, but trust me, we can live without y'all.

u think its Alaba market or Ladipo market that is making Lagos the commercial capital of Nigeria?

Please my fellow Nigerians, and great Yoruba people. Do not allow these jobless clowns to agitate us.

If yorubas are indeed the problem with Nigeria, how come we are the only tribe that are not ruled by PDP vampires.

Let us laugh at the weak and pray our Edo brothers also get the result they deserve.

Solely because of the 'mental' factor, I wouldn't like to wear something someone else already wore - just my personal thing, it holds sentimental value though I may not wear it again (we're playing with the idea of a 10yr anniv renewal wearing the same dress/suit smiley).

I do agree on not blowing so much money on an item you'll only use once, very reasonable approach. Women should know that with a little shopping around, and taking their focus of "designer labels" you can find gorgeous dresses at prices that won't break the bank.
ur not yet married and already planning 10year anniv.

Right from the first paragraph, you will just know it is another desperate attempt by enemies of Gej to rubbish him. I tried reading further and saw where they said the company has no legitimate address, I had to caution myself. Who did this investigation? How did they come about Dan Eteteh in this Malibu transaction? do you think that Etete cannot surrender any house for his official address? Baseless reporting. Im off. I will return whenever a more serious Newspaper like THISDAY,VANGUARD, orGUARDIAN reports this story

Please keep your trap closed kindly. Premium Times is the most legitimate source of investigative journalism in Nigeria at the moment. Forget that they are an online medium. So is Nairaland, SaharaReporters, Dailypost etc. They broke the 155bn oil block story and brought Etete's shennanigans with Adoke and GEJ to the forefront. The EFCC and Reps are also investigating it. Thanks to PTimes. Furthermore ThisDay is simply the cabal's mouthpiece so please keep ya trap closed. Kindly. Much obliged.
Politics › Re: Faroukgate: How Much Bribe Money Did Farouk Collect In All by scribble: 2:10pm On Jun 15, 2012
rasputinn: The whole media sphere has been awash with revelations and counter revelations of how much bribe money 'Hon' Farouk Lawan demanded and collected from Femi Otedola.

However due to the allegation by Mr Otedola that Farouk Lawan repeatedly told him that other marketers were 'playing ball',aka they were already paying up,there's a bigger question to be asked.

Now if a marketer that imports diesel,a product that is not subsidised could be asked by Farouk to pay a bribe of $3 million dollars, how much did he ask the other three bigger firms, who actually import pms and who were initially heavilly fingered in the subsidy fund loot but whose names were eventually erased from Farouk Lawan subsidy report? How much did they pay him?$5 million dollars each? I've heard something like that in some quarters, but nothing is verified yet.

So nairalanders, has anyone seen a link to the total sum Farouk collected, cos if its $5 million dollars as being alleged, that would give $15million from the three marketers.

So much for integrity group. Some more Nigerians now know better
God gave u a brain. Let us thank him. However your statement on Otedola being strictly a diesel importer is FALSE. Otedola owns Africa Petroleum/Forte Oil. The company was indicted in the subsidy report for claiming subsidy that cannot be verified, counter-tripping and diversion of petrol to other countries amongst other things.

Please read pages 139 to 141 of Subsidy report for further clarification.

Beaf where is ur brain?

otedola imports PMS through his ownership of African Petroleum/Forte Oil

Forte oil was also indicted in the report for counter tripping, product diversion etc

Dont deceive people here..
Politics › Re: Video: How Farouk Lawan Asked Reps To Remove Otedola From Probe Report by scribble: 1:47pm On Jun 15, 2012
Sky Blue: UBELIEVABLE. That was THE WEAKEST attempt at an argument for removing the names from the list. People please, listen to that argument very carefuly by Lawan.

Effectively: 'I suggest we remove names 5 and 6 from the list because we want to focus on companies that were part of the PS scheme'

SO IF THEY WERE NOT ON THE SCHEME, WHY WERE THEY ON THE LIST TO BEGIN WITH??

Shocking!! And what is even more shocking was how we were all going to take the results of the research with some measure of gravitas simply based on the excuse that committees have information we are not privvy to. How on earth did a company that now allegedly was not even on the subsidy scheme make it to the list to begin with, talk less of this weak argument for having to remove it?

Committees need to be more scrutinised and documents used for references crosschecked. Imagine if the report was released, that is what we would have based recommendations on?

The validity of that report has just been rubbished and a new one must be done. Who knows who else should or should not be on the list? Perhaps the press needs to be a bit more investigative and part of the process. I mean, how didn't the press catch this?
your argument is hogwash. Please be guided appropriately. Femi Otedola apart from owning synopsis and zenon also owns African Petroleum/forte oil which was also indicted.

besides just cause they did not benefit from PSF does not mean hhe didnt used the forex to finance oga jonah's campaign
Do I lok like I care about CBN and their interviews/ autonomy?

When has a Nigerian thieving been locked away after so many interviews,. probes, and investigations?

My own concern is twitter's integration into Nigeria's society, and if it's up to CBN to do the job. While I wonder about that, you can wonder about the interview that should not even be possible ON TWITTER with a guy who had been arrested.

You guys should sit there and pretend to be hardcore "revolutionist" while they're sharing national cake up and down. I must get y own sha.

As for #romancesectionIQ, it's still 3 digit higher than yours.
nice! what color beads are u wearing?

fact of the matter is this Saraki guy (more likely 419 fraud than not) got more airplay on twitter yesterday than you have gotten in Nairaland's Romance section your entire logged-in life.

i know saraki is a former banking professional and a Senator, however I think we ave heard so many arguments for leaving CBN's autonomy alone.
Only thing Saraki hampered on is more transparency.

Interviewer should have gotten someone who is further left on this issue to comment.

Besides Saraki is like one of the people who ran the banking sector to the ground with his stunts at SGBN and with Intercontinental, yes or no?
