Quite a nice one. Though it is work in progress. |
'Na wa ooooooooooo' 'The guy say na joke, yet people kept on shouting crucify him, crucify him 'Well, here is my own joke. I wonder if heaven were to show a video clip of each of the exam every nairalander have sat for, how many of us will be GUITLESS of EXAM MALPRACTICE Hey wait, don't dash for your weapons of vengeance, I pre-informed you that it is only a joke! |
Please can the learned friends in the house explain the implication of the amendment to the EFCC act to us. After reading the newspaper report, I was left confused about whether it was good for the efficiency of EFCC as an agency or it has turned the agency to a toothless bulldog that can only bark but not bite. Thanks |
@MT A nice topic for discussion. I for one will really love to know the right position base on Nigerian constitution. ![]() Please, learned friends in the house, we look forward to your unbias analysis and contribution. ![]() The two parties invovled in this issue INEC and the VP has been crying foul and at the same time laying claims to sections of the Nigerian constitution while accussing each other of not obeying the constitution. The confusion is too much for the lay man on the street. Please, someone that is not supporting either party should explain to us what is FAIR and what is FOUL in this issue. Thanks ![]() |
More skeletons falling out of the cracked cupboard. Good development. For sure in the nearest future, it will be much more difficult for politicians to loot our treasury with reckless abandonment. ![]() |
The two must be looking for cheap popularity. Of what benefit is the arabic inscription to the average muslim or northerner. "I beg make dem go look for better work to do" |
A tough but sincere question. Well the answer is, Nobody can give you an answer that will satisfy you except God Himself. As ridiculous as that may sound it is the truth. Whatever answer any man tries to give you concerning this issue will not be acceptable to you. Rather it will raise up other logical questions and it will take an entire lifetime of a minister to satisfy just about 50% of your curiousity. So, like I said earlier, you need to develop a relationship with God first, after then you will have an opportunity to ask Him yourself. Whatever answer He gives you, it will just be more than good enough. May the Lord illuminate your heart and answer your genuine queries in Jesus name. Shalom |
@all Now we are hitting the nail on the head. We all as decent people will love to display copies of genuine intellectual works in our library. We will love to show off that our softwares and music CD or DVD are genuine. Once we can afford to buy the genuine ones. Also, let us not forget that pirated cds or dvd are never of the same quality with the original ones. The materials used for pirated products are usually cheap and almost worthless. You never get value for money. The reason why they enjoy patronage is because the content of those cheap discs are mostly digital. So once you're able to get it off the disc into your computer or mp3 player, you won't really care if the cd last for just a month or a week. However, if poverty is addressed. Nobody will be willing to invest hard earned money into worthless discs. Let me share a little real life story with you all. Some years ago, (I can't really remember how many years). I received a mail from my cousin who reside in London. He told me that he just had a major disaster. His computer crashed ![]() Men it sounded ridiculous to me. That computer crash could be termed a disaster. My reasoning then being that, what does it cost to reformat a hard disk and reload all the softwares (I was thinking "boy you only loose your data and that's all" But I was dead wrong. My cousin was lamenting because some of the softwares on the computer were going to cost him some good pounds sterling to replace. He cannot afford to be caught using pirated softwares like is often done in Nigeria.Nigerians are hardworking and we have dignity and integrity. If our leaders are sincere, piracy will be a thing of the past without much effort. I remember the fact that when I was in Primary school, you never hear of anyone talking about buying a second hand vehicle. We love QUALITY. We love doing the right things. But unfortunately, we've been having terrible, greedy and insatiable leaders who have almost succeeded in changing our moral values as a society. May God help Nigeria. I love Nigeria and I am proud of Nigerians. @Seun I agree with you that we cannot just sit down and fold our hands. Complaining and doing nothing amounts to foolishness. Keep up the good work. You can never tell, a word here, a suggestion there will go a long way in moving us closer to the solution. Long live Nigeria |
lol @all Let the one that has never benefited from pirated material cast the first stone. In Nigeria, it is had to find one that has not offended one way or the other as far as piracy is concern. I think what should be done first is to address the issue of poverty that makes it almost impossible for Nigerians to buy genuine product. Stealing is actually not a welcome virtue in our culture. However, abject poverty can turn the best of gentleman into a rogue. Even if you claim you do not buy pirated materials, what about the business centres and cybercafes that you patronise. If you have ever patronised one that uses pirated Microsoft Softwares, then you have helped the pirates. I personally don't see the difference between pirated movie and pirated softwares. They both are stolen intellectual properties. Well, we thank God that nobody has been able to pirate Nairaland yet ![]() "Even if dey try, dem go fail". |
@einsteino why not check out the website before you conclude that it is March 31st. That you checked earlier and it was 31st March doesn't mean you're correct. It is currently showing that sales of form will close on 5th April while the website will be shut down on 10th. Cheers |
check the official website http://www.jamb.org.ng/umeregistration/index.aspx It is true that it has been extended. |
Wether we like his person or not. I praise God that he is alive. Afterall, he is beloved to someone somewhere. If you were to be his brother, sister, wife or children I'm sure you won't wish him dead. If you don't want him to become the next president of Nigeria, ensure he doesn't get your vote in the coming election. Shikena ![]() |
A fool has said in his heart that there is no God. Because he refuse to acknowledge God as God, God has given him over to a rebrobate mind. To do things that are not convenient. Foolish beings. Wallowing in mind bulging FOOLISHNESS!!!! Contradicting themselves and displaying IGNORANCE. 1. First, they disagreed with the fact that God exist. 2. After that, they claim that the earth and in fact the entire universe was a big accident ![]() 3. Now they turn round to tell us they have found the bones of the one they claimed never existed. 4. Very soon someone is going to tell us he has discovered the bone of Adam and Eve. Then they will test to see if the fruit they ate was apple or mango ![]() lol Oh how blinded can man be. Surely, the angels must be having a difficult time trying to understand how man can be so STUPID. And for sure the devil must be having a good laugh with his host of demons on how gullible human beings can be. The more humans think they are increasing in knowledge, the more stupid they become. My belief has nothing to do with the experience of another. For I know whom I believe. Hallelujah!!! Too many years, resources and efforts have been invested by humans to disproof the message of the bible. But do they bother me. Not at all. It simply reinforce my personnal belief. Do you know why, I had a personnal encounter with JESUS. You don't have to believe me. But I know that once I was BLIND, now I can SEE. Halleluyah. |
For sure Gani made a lot of sense in his analysis. I am neither for OBJ or Atiku. I am for a better Nigeria. But I don't think the court has helped matte with the judgement delivered. How can a government succeed if the President and the Vice are pursuing different dreams at the same time. That will only lead to a lot of confusion. ![]() |

Someone please help. I have had to replace network cards on 3 desktops running winxp and networked together about 3 times in the past 3months. It is funny that a desktop working perfectly the previous day will simply refuse to connect to the network. Upon troubleshooting, I will discover that the network card is bad. I have had to use cards from different manufacturers, but the problem persists. I have lost both network cards that are unboard and those that are PCI to this problem. I suspected that the problem might have something to do with electricity, so I ensured that all the desktops are plugged to UPS and not directly to the mains. Yet the problem persists. Someone that have an experience on this should please suggest to me what I should do. Thanks. |
Well I do need help. Within the space of 3months, I have needed to change the network card on about 3 desktop computers that were networked together. The network cards just stop working and that is it. I have been suspecting that maybe it has something to do with electric surge. But i am not sure since each pc are not plugged directly to the mains. Instead, they are plugged to individual UPS. Please advise what could be the cause of such high rate of failure? |
@kdships I agree totally with you. It is too much of a risk to loose sleep on MS Vista while one can wait. Let the others do all the trials and solve all the problems. In a matter of months, one will be able to safely upgrade without having headache. By then, there would have been tons of ideas posted in forums and other websites on the Net. ![]() |
I think people with HND certificate should be given the opportunity of doing a short course for conversion into University Degrees. Maybe 2 or 4 semester depending on the course. Just my sincere opinion. No offense. ![]() |
I wonder what JAMB is up to. Do they expect the students from Rivers State to start travelling out of the state just because they want to write UME. I wish I have the phone number of the Rivers State Commissioner of Education or his email address. I think he should be informed of this development. It is quite unfair. ![]() |
@ugodaniel You don't have to insult those that posted earlier in this thread. They only reported what information they got. Afterall your own information was not completely flawless. Indeed the saharareporter confirmed that VP Atiku is presently not in Nigeria. |
A good development I will say. |
@kimba Thanks for posting this thread. It is quite thought provoking. I pray that one of this day, the educational system in Nigeria will resurrect. 'cos I wonder what would have happened to that gentleman if he has been subjected to the artificial limitation placed by Nigeria Education System on potential genius. God help Nigeria - Amen |
This thread and the responses shows how we Nigerians can spend so much energy fighting over trival things while the main issues are left unattended to. I can imagine what it will be like if the originator of this thread and those that responded are elected into the house of assembly. The whole tenure of their reign will be spent arguing on which tribe is responsible for the problem of Nigeria instead of passing bills that will improve the well-being of the citizens. It is a shame that intellectuals can still be found living in the dark ages where a mans ethnicity is what counts, not what he can deliver. I weep for Nigeria |
Nollywood is Nigerian version of HOLYWOOD ![]() |
He is no longer running for presidency. I learnt he is now running from EFCC ![]() |
@Blue2 You've said it all. No amount of lies will turn charcoal to white ![]() |
