Hey Guys,am back, was just too busy with this school thing here, Have got Exams, and have done several homeworks that are crazy, mehn this yankee no be child's play oo.i no believe say i fit dey read like jacky for here sha, anyway lets get down to business

@Sanciro have met Nigerians here which were denied twice, thrice and they got their visa atlast, also a guy which was denied British Visa Once,Canadian Visa 4times and USA once until he got the last visa for USA and now he is here.so dont lose hope man.,well about your interview which you were denied,i will point out some red flags, which the others pointed out.
1.Applied too early
2.You are Unemployed
3.You just finished NYSC thing,
4.Where did you get to know about the School(Internet).

1)According to what the other gurus said, that apply like 90 or 60days before resumption is cool, and according to what you told me,they were giving out visas to the ones going for visits, this means there is a time range/frame where Students should apply for visas, and they've got quota for the visas they give in a year.

2)About being Unemployed thats really a red flag,so you going to USA to study while you are unemployed here?Hell No.that sends a signal that maybe when you get there, you not going to study, maybe run away and turn to illegal immigrants.

3)That you just finished NYSC(meaning you might even come back to your country then),i believe they all know what this NYSC thing is for,and is compulsory for all Nigerians, this should be what you will use to tie them down that you coming back for your NYSC(thats your tie)unless you married and your kids are in Nigeria.

4)Please house take note of this.the internet gives informations about everything.Always be specific with that you saying.
Like where did you find out about the school? you let them know.collegeboard website or petersons.com or princetonreview.com

*Note* This is going to the whole house, how good looking you are matters alot and always put a smile on your face.

So guys am out.Exams starts now.Going back to read,No be small thing oo.God dey sha

@ All
I used to think that Abuja is very promising for visa interviews. But with this Chinese woman there, is Abuja as safe as it is painted to be? Does it really make sense to leave the embassy very close to one in Lagos, subject oneself to unnecessary stress and go to Abuja and yet be denied by that Chinese woman? She asks u predictable questions, and I have not read of anyone who satisfied her. Do we still generalize that Abuja is the best despite the amounts of denials from that embassy lately?
[/b][/b][/b]

@House my own advice,Lagos or Abuja as soon as you get inside the final room, check out for the nice ones and very mean ones, and always use the rest room as many times as possible if you think the very mean ones will call up on you,and rejoin the queue from the back, and pray in the process ooo, Who's Next?

Captain Young M, Are we flying anytime soon??Fasten your seatbelt you guys, Here we go, We out Guys, see you guys in Obama land

My People, Even though I still have about a month till I go for interview I just want to know what I should have and not have. Do I need to take my account statement? My father is my sponsor and I dont have current account would the embassy be interested in my statement of account and would the bank even give me a statement since I am using a savings account?
If you have a job at the moment,i will advice you take your own statement along with your sponsor's statement, but if you arent working,go with you sponsor's statement alone, which shows it can cover your expenses for 1whole yr,

@ Young M, never backed him to go that lane oh, hence "go with caution" , In anycase, think that what they'll verify is the results not the paper the cert is made of, anyway, just me thots, but then what do i know?
@ seadog? R u oblidging to my YIM date this weekend? abeg holla

@ Djunit1, follow your instincts, but with caution too, These days i heard some folks go with WAEC scratch cards to embassy since results can be verified online just so to convince consular officers of results on cert being correct, rather cooked up but the online doesnt show your age though , But Any body that has had WAEC results asked@ embassy shud tell us more, Is this common with UnderG or graduate students, know it's DV winners that made this WAEC thing a big back then, The veterans in the house, over to u,
@ freeman, Let's chat this weekend , hope u'll be free, No worry i go pay consultancy fee, lol
@ seadog, don't mind if u'll oblidge same too,
@Dasleeky nyc one there, well as said earlier,go with the Original WAEC,go with the scratch Card and all details to check it online, but if you are not asked, dont show this oooo, dont worry, you wont be asked for it,

@Freeman thanks for the response. I really need assistance because in as much as I believe a lot in prayers I like to do my things so that when I lie a lie detector would not be able to catch me. House if you know any one that can help me arrange 'Oluwole' WAEC cert that would only change my age from 1988 to 1989 please hola at me because I dont want to give those idiots at the embassy any reason to turn me down. I am more than certain to get this Visa so I want to do my home work properly.
I will like to ask,did you write any exam(TOEFL&SAT)?and forget about thinking Oluwole or watsoever, though the year is a red flag, but the chances of them asking you to bring your waec certificate are slim.when i went for my interview,i wasnt asked for my cert.Young M,Freeman and even Vandops wasnt asked, so just start praying to God Man,

Hey Guys, this was how the interview went,i got to the Embassy exactly 6:45am,and as usual i saw my fellow Nigerians already there, and i went inside, went through all normal protocols, dont go in wit ur phone, powder, comb, anointing oil blah blah blah says those VFS officials, guys that paid 131usd for their visa fees, you will pay additional 1400naira to your 20,960naira,they dont want to knw if you've paid before oo, anyway i got inside the main consular department where the interview was goin on, they were 3 consular. One was nice, the other was inbetween and the Last was Mean,
Anyway i prayed to be interviewed by the nice woman.and wel Gods favour came and the interview went as follows:

Consular:Congratulations, I will give you your visa and please come back in 2 business working days to collect your Passport and visa.
Me:Thank You

Consular:Next Applicant
I just left and went away, gave other applicants a little smile and went out.

To other applicants going for their appointment, just pray for God's Favour and also be bold when you are at the front of those Consulars, even if you dont have an idea,i will advice, smile a little bit and tell them no idea.and for your info,i saw some applicants which their interview lasted for almost 20mins,so dont be too relaxed about 2-5mins interview ,

Thanks smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley,
Well i think since you've been given admission and school resumes Aug 9th,can you ask the school to scan a copy of the I-20 to you,so that you can use it to book an appointment, against July.and also ask them what courier service was used for the documents sent, and if possible ask for the tracking number so that you can always track it online, and for interview question and answers, I can always bet it with u.go through this thread, and your visa is around the corner, All the best,

hello people pls i need a very serious help. I went for an interview last yr nov, and i was rejected because the consular said i applied to only 1 school. i will be going to another interview next month 16th july @ Abuja. i fully know that am going to be asked why i was rejected the ist time and the improvement i have done towards that. pls i want your guys to help me with the questions because i was not well loaded that last yr. My school is Voorhees College in south carolina. pls help me with question and how i should go about it. Thanks alot
I will advice you to apply to other schools and print out the mails sent to each other, even if the time frame for applying had elapsed, because this question will surely be asked again, and this time, you need to show them that you really worked on other schools not only on words of mouth but with proof, and try as much as possible to go through this thread from the very first page, cos almost everybody that got their visa here never applied to only one school.2,3,4 etc.

Good-luck
