You should know that majority of those commenting are not ready to do little research... All they do is follow the rumors.... They’re comparing Legislative Election with Gubernatorial... But they refused to tell us what happened in Kogi 2015 and Bayelsa governorship elections where there was a Run-off because of the same issue we have in Osun this year...

I agree with you though I seriously think they should go through with the elections but would INEC be unbias? They've already shown bias. INEC seems compromised else why would you use different standards for elections held just less than 2 months apart (kogi and Osun).

INEC is the problem! And no one trusts them

The Election held in Kogi was a legislative Election and the Electoral Act did not give room for a Run-off in such election, The only thing the tribunal can do in the case of Kogi is to call for a fresh election

I am currently watching channels TV politics today and the truth is if INEC is served a paper as defendants from the court and restraining them, INEC would obey. At least so says the law theoretically

And do you know that if they delay the election by the time the court will give verdicts there would surely be a lacuna because the law says the run-off should take place in not more than 7 days from the day the first ballot was casted.. Another thing is that the court case is going to affect the Handing over date... A Sole Administrator will be appointed for the State and the Election will hold afresh... In all this who is the bigger loser?

Re-run s when the Electoral process is starting from afresh... Run-off is when the process continues and the released results are added to the ones on the fixed date

He should get a court injunction stopping the re run and ask the courts to declare him winner based on overwhelming evidence of widespread electoral malpractice collusion between INEC and APC

Nothing like Court Injunction at this Moment, Once the first ballot is cast the court did not have say in the Post Election matter.... The only advise you can give him is to get ready best lawyers that will represent him at the tribunal....

Simple Majority of votes cast when the cancelled votes is not more than the winning margin.... in this case the winning margin is just 353 while the cancelled votes is more than 3,000

Where are those that were abusing us for saying what's in the Electoral law? .... As it is right now the Sad Truth is that PDP cannot win up to 1,000 Votes in the Re-run.... APC will do everything to RIG it... Another Factor is that the Re-run won't take place in PDP's stronghold...

No matter what happened today, The Election will be declared Inconclusive.... Same way with Kogi and Bayelsa elections

Oga, cancelled votes are cancelled.They voted, but voted wrongly.
What happened in Kogi was units that hadn't voted at all, the number of registered voters in them being more than the margin of victory.
I have yet to hear of a unit where election didn't hold.
Please, get a copy of the Constitution and the Electoral Act.

What i am trying to figure out is that the Re-run will Give APC more time to perfect their Rigging tricks.. Remember the Election won't put the whole state in lock down, Not all the foreign Observers would be present for the Re-run and won't receive the kind of Attention of yesterday.. And Sadly the Security agencies will be given orders.. As it is now all they will go for is just 15,000 or 16,000 Votes and SADLY APC will be declared the Winner

Oga, there is no rerun in this election. If the margin between the two leading parties is less than the cancelled votes, the result will just be inconclusive until those cancelled are allowed to do bye election.
