How can Events overtook a crime committed by the same person to get into office that he is benefiting from?

The Abuja High Court was the 2nd witness called by APC. that should be 29th or 30th/12/2020

I know one of his coursemates who graduated with him. He confirmed that 3 credit passes in O'L in combination with other certificates was acceptable in some courses by UI and other universities back then. I combined IJMB with O'L result to enter uni Ilorin as was the requirement in those days. I can tell you that, APC who didn't see anything with oshiomohle's trade test certificate which he tendered as the ACN governorship candidate is only traveling on a journey to no destination in this case. UI never denied admitting obaseki. They even posted his results when he graduated. In late 2000s, one of my relations was admitted into FUT Minna with 4 credit passes and a Pass to study Photonics. This requirement was clearly stated in their UME Brochure that time..I don't know what it's called now because at a time, they changed it to UTME. Things are changing evertday. Today, such can't be possible anymore as university requirements in any course of studies especially now that admission has become very competitive with only a few universities serving millions of intakes every year. Now there's a post UME exam which wasn't there before. Tomorrow, admission requirements could be based on O'level grades like...you must have 5As in O'level results before studying a particular course...I heard some universities now do so to reduce the number of intakes in medicine and other courses like ...you must possess A's in the core science subjects even after the post UME success. People were still being encouraged in the 70s to go to the university...even secondary schools in Nigeria. Awolowo had to declare education free to encourage people to go to school...APC would sleep and snor in court

What about the Affidavit Obaseki submitted in 2016 that the court deny issuing such affidavit.
The court wrote Dan Orbih's chambers in 2016 that the Affidavit is not in their records... That alone if proven by the plaintiffs will nail Obaseki.

I wish those supporting Obaseki on this case based on their hatred for Oshiomhole will realize that this case is the foundation laid by the PDP in 2016... If Olujimi wanted to finish this case finally, He would have asked the court to order Dan Orbih to appear in the witness box with the letter the Abuja High court wrote to his chambers in 2016 denying issuing the Affidavit Obaseki presented to INEC.
Hard and bad time for Obaseki and his legal team..

I see one place the Governor will have serious problem to defend and that is the 2016 affidavit he submitted to INEC. The registrar of the high court is one of the APC witnesses and he denied the affidavit coming from the court.
Also the court wrote to PDP in 2016 that they didn’t issue the affidavit.
Let’s see how Obaseki will defend that part.

Also the case filed by PDP in 2016 is what the court will use to mail them.

No he did the right by presenting the real one na. The ones he presented in 2016 had issues. So what he did was to go back to the school for the originals. What he presented in 2020 are all authentic.
The problem here is how to reconcile it with 2016. Though good enough he claims he got them missing ..
Oshiomole thought he had none at all and was waiting for him to follow the previous path.
He was surprised that Obaseki presented the authentic papers.
His drag now is that it is not same with the previous.
There are a lot of waivers given in school those days even till now.

Do you know that the APC called the Abuja high court Registrar as a witness and he denied that the affidavit submitted to INEC by Obaseki in 2016 is not from the court?
That alone is a tough hurdle for Obaseki in this case because a case of forgery might be established on that.
Obaseki’s legal team and advisers played a bad game by using delay tactics. Now the pressure is on them to rush their defense in less than 4 days.

Once a case of perjury has been established against Obaseki, the court will rule that he is not eligible to be a governor. This is exactly what happened to Bayelsa APC deputy Governor elect.

UI will definitely testify in this case and it is their testimony that will seal the case

There is no how the case of forgery will be determined without the UI registrar testifying.

The judge cannot conclude on forgery without the UI.No amount of forensic science will prove forgery without UI who issued the certificate

What about the 2016 affidavit Obaseki submitted to INEC that the court Registrar has come to court to deny having any record of it in their custody.

Oga you lied. For 2016 he didn’t apply with any certificate rather affidavit or you showed me here. I agreed they wrote 1976 as against 1979 but that can be entrust as typical error. Matter close. As far as ui has confirmed he is a graduate and the law said the min requirement for contesting has been met. Case close.... thank you sir

The high court Registrar has gave evidence that they don’t have the record of affidavit Obaseki presented to inec in 2016. That means he forged the 2016 affidavit.

You keep getting this wrong. If they can establish that Obaseki committed forgery in 2016 the court will remove him and he will be prosecuted for forgery after taking away his immunity. INEC submitted the 2 forms he filled in 2016/2020 and there are discrepancies in them.

Both Imo and Bayelsa cases started from the high court and tribunal respectively.
No case can start from the Supreme Court except the Nass vs the Executive arm of government at the federal level.

Your first paragraph shows you’re trying to defend Obaseki. Some PDP elected officials has been found guilty of perjury and forgery in the past and we cannot blame the party for that.
In Bayelsa PDP claimed the state with a case like this and I don’t see anything bad if same thing is coming back to hunt PDP.
Why will PDP accept Obaseki when they know that they took him to court on forgery and perjury in 2016?

It is Obaseki and his lawyers that has been Filing several injunctions to delay the case till the time frame will elapse. Both PDP and Obaseki knows that this case is a bad one for them and they’re trying to frustrate the court. With the ruling of the Court of Appeal last week, the case will done with before middle of January.

The PDP took this case to court in 2016 and they had a good case but they filed the case out of time allowed by the constitution.
Now APC capitalized on PDPs finding.
If at the end of the day PDP lose Edo they don’t have anybody to blame except themselves.

Punishment for perjury is conviction and jail term.As long as he didn't perjure any of the processes that brought him in 2020 the election will remain Valid.

As a Governor he can't be tried for perjury.BTW the suit is not even alleging perjury

You did not understand that this case is pre-election matter. That’s the reason the appeal court ruled that it must go on.
Pre-Election matters has nothing to do with immunity.

If the plaintiffs can prove that truly he committed perjury in 2016. The courts will sack him and if they want to follow the law to the fullest he can be jailed.

He can be punish for crimes committed in the past. If truly he committed perjury in 2016 and the plaintiff can prove his case, then there will be problem for Obaseki.
