Imagine, just imagine if all those who did NYSC since inception were mandated to take courses in paramedics and emergency care. At least we will have one person out of 5 that will volunteer to help the person in need while the others continue to take pictures.

I volunteered to join Red cross a long while ago after my encounter on my first trip to Abuja. A man was visibly alive after been pulled from a car that veered into a canal. He was alive, his soul fighting to stay alive, but all we could do was watch him. I realised how useless I was at that point and how useful I could have been to that man. He was left alone to die surrounded by people who knew next to nothing about emergency care. It could have been me I said to myself.

We are our own problem in this country. If you check well, those waste bins are not new. They are the old waste bins that's been inside KWEPA office for years. They did not deploy it all these years.

Secondly, in setting up a task force like this, I believe the state Govt should involve the private sector guys involved in waste management. There's an NGO in Ilorin that's won 4 international awards and grants for recycling and waste management. Ordinarily, the Govt should include guys like that when setting up a task force in environment.

That's if you take your dog to roadside dog breeders turn vet(quacks). I took my pops to the vet clinic of Unilorin Veterinary clinic and I was amazed. I felt like a father . They took necessary tests and even opened card for my dog(That was after like 20mins of questioning) They did tests and x-rays . The dog later died after spending much, but I was glad I did all I could to save the Lil pups life. I'm sure he's smiling down from heaven with a smile.
