Men at work |
This man is determined to plunge Nigeria into a financial crisis before he leaves office. I don't envy the next president at all. I don't know when we'll leaders that have stuff upstairs and are able to think outside the box. It's so unfortunate that we are a rich country borrowing from countries that don't have a quarter of our natural resources. Somebody needs to wake this old lazy giant. |
Oniranu. Name them now |
GAZZUZZ:All financial indices does not support nonremoval. They can't run this country another year on petrol subsidy. Imagine Nigeria just approached an Islamic bank for loan of less than 50 billion. Subsidy will be removed, it may not be January, but will definitely be 2022. |
Hehehe... You're daydreaming |
chrisxxx:8th Assembly “During the four years of the 8th National Assembly, on average 541 bills were introduced and 129 bills were passed per year. This undoubtedly reflects high performance. Although a bill should, averagely, take less than six months to pass, our data reveals that out of the 515 bills passed in the 8th National Assembly, only 47 (9.1%) were passed within 50 days, while a whopping 271 (52.6%) took over 351 days to pass.” The report also highlighted some bills passed into law by the 8th National Assembly which include the Minimum Wage Bill; Not Too Young Run Bill; People With Disability Bill; Child Protection Bill; Local Government Autonomy Bill; Electoral Act Reform Bill; Grazing Bill; Public Procurement Bill, Basic Health Care Bill; Bill on Prompt Treatment of Accident Victims; Judicial System Protection Act; Whistle Blower Protection Bill; Petroleum Industry Bill; Nigerian Financial Intelligence Bill; Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act; Abolition of Dichotomy Between HND and Degrees Bill; Agriculture Loan Bill; Nigerian Railway Authority Bill Public Treasury Bill; Police Act Amendment; Digital Rights Bill; Bill Against Sexual Harassment of Students in Tertiary Institutions; Bill on the removal of Age Limit in Employment; Federal Audit Commission Bill; Local Industry Bill; Peace Corps Bill; Bill on Test for HIV Status Before Marriage; and Girl-Child Marriage Bill. |
"From the available data displayed by the Senate President, President Olusegun Obasanjo signed a total of 82 billed into law between 1999 and 2006, President Umaru Yar’Adua signed 38 bills into law between 2007 and 2009 while President Goodluck Jonathan signed 40 bills into law between 2010 and 2015." You see how he cleverly avoided the bills passed in into law between 2015 and 2019. |
Okay |
Okay "The power project will have three phases: to take Nigeria’s operational capacity of the grid from less than 5,000MW to 7000MW by 2021; further increase the capacity to 11,000MW by 2023; and achieve total operational generation and national grid capacity to 25,000MW by 2025. In July 2020, President Muhammadu Buhari approved the payment of €15.21 million and N1.708 billion as counterpart funding for the PPI. Speaking on the new development, Suleiman said the pre-engineering phase of the project would be completed in 10 months." “We are not adding any generation capacity but we want to make sure that we fix the dilapidated transmission and distribution networks. “We are doing the pre-engineering for the distribution network of this country. We have already got a letter of credit from the Federal Government to start it. “The design is done in our head office. For the transmission scope, we were given initially 11 sites; they have added 22 sites. “Execution is when you go to sites. But in the next three months, we want to start putting the proposal for phase one together, not when we finish the pre-engineering. “So, if phase one goes into reality before the end of the current administration, it means we would have been able to move from 4,500MW to 7,000MW.” |
Grow some balls and do the needful |
At this rate, it will become too risky to travel to the next town by 2023 |
