Valid point bro. But I've been skeptical about the workability of state policing in this country given the available evidence of abuse of native police officers of those days. Also, how are they gonna fund State security apparatus? With the exception of Lagos, Rivers and maybe two other states, I don't think we want to try that now. Not yet.

Please they are not the same thing. The FBI gets thousands of warnings/speculations from thousands of persons in just one day. They have to choose which one to take seriously. In this case A sitting Governor was the informant on a direct issue with relevant details.

1. Declare and restrict the activities of fulani herdsmen till when issues are resolved.

2. Work on the viability of ranching as an alternative to movement of cattles from state to state.

3. Embark on peace tour in order to identify the peculiar problems of each flash point.

4. Deploy the military to the affected corridor with clearly stated rules of engagement to maintain peace and order.

Exactly my thought. The equipment can still work with not much tweaking and replacement of parts that can be fabricated locally. We are not dullards in this country as most people think.
