People no longer get FG jobs via merit in this country. The person that got his via merit here must have finished school in the 80's or early 90's or must be in APC and trying to deceive people.
Getting a FG job nowadays is either you buy slot or you have connection or someone just decide to help your life out of pity!

I will tell you categorically, with all my chest and from my bitter and terrible experience, that there's nothing like merit in this country again. I was involved in nnpc, NSITF, Civil service etc.

Passed NSITF test, was called for interview twice. Checked the list before it was sent to FCC, I was the highest in all aspects from my state. Names sent to FCC. Still went to check from the secretary to the commissioner, my name was still intact. When it was finally sent to NSITF, my name wasn't there anymore. I saw a guy who collected 2 Apl for his madam's daughters who were based abroad and never took part in any of the process. We paid about 2k or so in the bank for the recruitment and I still have my receipt.

nnpc 2011 recruitment, I passed test, did interview. We even formed a group on naira land. None of us got it. They stopped the process, but were giving APL underground via connections.

Northern top government officials help their fellow northern job seekers. Southern officials, most especially Igbos, find it so hard to help their people. I once contacted Ngige and senator utazi, what they told me was heart breaking. I even took different wine to utazi in Enugu, and he told me point blank that if it's because of job, I should take it back. The commissioner representing my state in FCC is the worse.

Bros don't generalize things because the same ngige you are accusing of not helping igbos has been accused many times of employing only igbos , Hon Obinna Chidoka from Anambra has secured many appointments for his people in different committee he belong, last year October he secured 8 appointments for her people in one tertiary institution in East,
Anambra federal character commissioner has done well more than other commissioners,he secured about 60 appointments this year for his people in federal government tertiary institutions in East early this year.
The same Anambra commissioner secured slots for his people in ndlea, custom, immigration and civil defense and many other agencies when other commissioners were giving excuses to their people including the northern commissioners please note the Commissioner never help me oo but that should not be the reason to say they are not helping igbos.

my brother, some years back, there is this HOR that gave 10 random people slot in Kaduna, he came down to area and requested for CVs of graduate from different house hold regardless of your religion or ethnicity.

He gave all of them different jobs across Different MDAs. A relative of mine benefited too.

He got nnpc.

That man immortalized himself in that street

How many of our southern HOR can do this ??

Omo! Our southern leaders no dey try at all.
They will rather sell the slot sef. Useless people.

No be Aregbesola from Osun State be minister of interior? All agency under interior did mass recruitment but no special benefits to his town people sef talk more of whole state that he was once a governor.

A VIP in the state told me how they had to beg and fight so he can give slot to them, but at the end of the day, most of there candidate name didn't still come out.

One thing northerns leaders will never do. They will always fight for there people in things like this.
If na northerner be interior minister, na northerner go dominate all this recruitment.
Later they will say notherners dominate everywhere and are controlling things.

One of my friend in one agency told me how they gave a Yoruba oga slot to bring people for replacement, but baba said he has no body grin, everybody was just amazed in the office like in this Nigeria, you have nobody that need job from your place even if na your street. Meanwhile in that same office, she said a clerk who is a northerner being helping his people to runs employment from within.

Our people no dey try. All those slot wey u dey see say dem dey sell na our people dey sell am through agents, slot wey dey supposed use help people in there localities.

People now sell FG job slots for as high as 10million naira in Nigeria. Is there hope for the unemployed youth in this country? How on earth will you pay to go to school then pay to get a job again? Where is Nigeria heading to? Before 2015 slots are sold for between 200k and 500k, now it's in millions. God come to our rescue. National association of unemployed graduates (NAUG) the ball is in our court. What is net please?

1.It is bad

2.It happens because you have, as in the recent nnpc recruitment 45000 people applying for 6000 jobs, or the 2013 Immigration fiasco, where over 100000 people applied for less than 20000 positions.

At some point some corrupt people will enter and do shalaye. The opportunity is too rich to pass up.

Politics / Re: Adamu Garba: Nigeria Cannot Break, It's A Lie by spacechuks(m): 6:49am On Jul 04, 2021
WHY ARE THE NORTHERNERS AFRAID OF NIGERIA BREAKUP OR RESTRUCTURING,

SOUTHERNERS HAVE SUDDENLY BECOME THE OXYGEN FOR THE NORTHERN SURVIVAL,

The truth is Nmandi Kanu and sunday Igboho are not the problem nigeria have, even if you kill both of them today, the nigeria problem is still there, then why not address the problem than chasing the crusaders who are clamoring for solutions to the problems,

Kanu and sunday are not the cause of spate of bandits attack in the north, boko haram, they are not the cause of economic hardship, they are not the cause of poverty, nepotism, they are certainly not the cause of fulani and northern dominance in the police, dss, army ,navy, public service, nnpc, name it, the country is polarised, we have first class graduates in the south even from oil producing communities that cannot even get jobs in the oil companies whereas we have lots of northern zombies who cant even spell there name working in this same oil companies, and you want the same southerners to be happy,

jobs are being shared in abuja without fair and competent recruitment process to northerners,

These are many of the issues why people are clamoring for restructuring, so that every state citizens can hold their governors, local government chairmen to ransom when there are no jobs etc, but the wicked northerners said no, they want people to continue this way and wallow in poverty for the rest of their life,

The truth is that even when you kill kanu and sunday, peolpe will still rise and continue their movement,

Federal government should stop using fulani dss (because its certainly fulani dss are the one that will take it to heart to kill and hound southerners in the cover that they are fighting for nigeria), it is therefore an ethnic fight in disguise

Federal government should address the reason behind various agitations and stop been hypocritical,

fulani dss cannot fetch skekau out in their own backyard but they traveled far to kidnap kanu (what a high level of hypocrisy)

well , i rep naija delta, i believe that cant do same to our son, because our head no correct oo

Lols, I remember how they fought anyone who says nnpc recruitment wasn't fair, and vouched for the ES to be fair...

those with vehicles have driven past the ones trekking... When/if the mass APL comes, those under illusion will face reality in Nigeria

May God help the common man.

Everything you said is true except the bolded. All nnpc staff are working on a 2 weeks rotation basis. In some of the subsidiaries it is one week on, one week off sef. So that cannot be the reason they are holding back. They are conducting a second IOR to fill out Managerial Positions and they will still do another one in October. There will be so much vaccancies in the Senior Officers/Supervisory Cadre that they will have no choice but to consider us or conduct another round of recruitment.

nnpc staff haven't resumed in full capacity...it can be a reason they are holding back. You are not even sure if the EH recruitment is still alive or if the reason for the delay is the IOR thingy.

EH has not been abandoned. Reason they haven't called is govt staff below Assistant mgr grade still hasn't resumed. They can't give out APL's and begin to pay salaries to staff that are not working. I don't know why this didn't apply to GT's.
The IOR recently done took care of Managerial cadre but Supervisors and Senior Officers cadre is still on(pending). This information is 100% correct.
I also don't know why nnpc didn't just communicate this to hopefuls. Everyone still hopeful should remain hopeful.
Also NO CONTRACT STAFF was given APL, anyone that feels strongly against this should post an APL given to a contract staff.

even if nnpc filled the spots I'm very sure, they only filled in 20% of a possible 100%, and are using the IOR as a cover to fill the other spots, but there's still a lot of spaces to be filled, IOR or not..I just don't know why they are so reluctant to do so..and I have heard a number of times from people here that the position have been filled but no one is coming with small proof to back it up.. no one owes anyone here anything, but it will certainly help move the cause forward.
Bro,the positions has been filled up i know of this..internal positions too and promotions filled up as well and some already gone for courses and back.i personally feel they are don't with anything recruitment.
For the now and that's why you don't hear anything again.people they took are most times advanced people in their various fields and you don't expect 5hem to come on social media and start saying they got in.

You are right but I know those people they took are way too qualified .let me just say based on recommendations .anyways ,some positive might happen .keep the hope alive .
nnpc is not really acting professional about this recruitment. It is very easy. Just release few people legally and tell the public.

Listen and listen good, there might be hope but you all need to know this...they have collected people for the experienced long time! I really do not know what criteria they used but I am sure of people that joined not quite recently and they filled the experienced position.some people they took have retired from dome other places but because of their experience and how much they needed them ,they have appoibtment letters.
Truth is they have done this EH recruitment ..question should be what processes they used in reaching there..
They have not collected people legally.... Collecting people through back door or on low key is not the issue. There is a national pattern of collecting people. nnpc has not done that, that is why they cannot defend themselves. When they do that, they will be bold about it, and no propaganda for the release will be on the news or social media.

nnpc has not released it legally.
