To ES NCDMB,
I saw you so excited submitting your candidate for the nnpc replacement as it was requested of you.

GEJ got 7slotes, 2 Rivers State indigenes and 5Bayelsans making up the 7slots as contained in his list, and you were giving 1slot. Just a slot and you weren’t happy about it though.

What about your own recruitment Sir? I over heard directly from your lips, that you are waiting for some sort of approval, that those on merit will be contacted afterwards.

Why did you honor the certain northern governor call to employ his son? What about us? My father is an artisan (break layer).

How long will it take to secure this approval or you are waiting for those powerful northern political elites holding you tight on your scrotum for their tenure to expire?

You see where your stubbornness has landed us?

My only consolation is your statement “I have not outrightly jettisoned the Testmi effort and efforts of Nigerians who participated during the exercises, you will call those who merited the job once you secure approval from relevant quarters”. This statement directly from you is my only consolation.

I’m waiting for you, we’re OBIdiently waiting also.

Hello big bro. I understand that this is what you heard from the lips of the owner.

However, the idea that some Northern/Southern /Eastern elites are putting the more than 2 years old recruitment on hold does not fit in any longer. This idea should be well questioned and outrightly debunked.

Think of it this way: How many numbers of fresh recruitment and replacement were initiated and completed within the 2 years and about 2 months of NCDMB's recruitment. Yet NCDMB is yet to be done with theirs.

Besides, the so call pressure from the North is very much minimal. It will shock you to know that up till now, NCDMB is not that popular in the North. In fact, the very few people that know about it is as result of this recruitment.

Majority of us have given up already, and they have every reason to. In my own case I will keep watching till the last quarter of the year (even though ko easy rara).

Thank you for keeping us up to date as we expect more from you and you all.

Truly the GMD wanted to close out the EH recruitment but he said the ones interviewed don't have the experience that the contract staffs have and so they can't employ supposedly experienced hires and still be spending funds training them again.

With all due respect sir, dats bullshyt....I was there & I know the calibre of people I saw....if even half thier so called " experienced contract staff" had that kind of juice... nnpc management wouldn't have being this confused

Ok o! GEJ’s tenure we wrote nnpc, received success text messages and that was the end! PMB’s tenure we wrote again and advanced to interview stage, no communication. Now NCDMB for 2 years!! 2 years is enough to have added experience on any job you’re doing and have a pay rise. We are here deliberating nonsense of hope. Make Una continue! Next government will do another fresh recruitment and y’all would be way too old for entry level jobs and with no experience to have an experienced role because you were waiting and hoping! Nonsense politicians!!!

I want to assume you guys arguing here have such an ample time to discuss what is not really necessary at this time.

Quota system or not, competency and exceptionality is paramount in this recruitment.

As for JV between IOCs and the government, I think Mr Raphelo still have a reading to do on the operation of the terms in the JV. From what I know, the government doesn’t involve themselves in the affairs of the company but only interested in their own share of the net returns.
Are you saying you work or have a link in the human capital department for you to be so certain Shell will consider someone from the South because they want to fulfill a quota system rather than employ a competent hand from the North who is more qualified? Let it make sense bro… This is neither nnpc nor DPR, even those don’t consider federal character in their recruitment.

In the meantime, let’s patiently wait for success mail or love letter and let this thread rest. We want update on the recruitment and not talks that don’t add up abeg

This thing is pretty simple and what he said I believe was straight forward. First thing they consider is competency and subsequently other factors such as gender and possibly where a person hails from.

And how did you know he 'failed' the interview like you know the cut off mark and all other cosiderations or something. Truth is that if the GMD wants his son to be recruited into nnpc today, the guy will get his appointment letter and there's nothing you or anyone here can do about it, let's stop these baseless assumptions.

From what I've gathered, the plan for the EH had changed. nnpc has been unbundled and as such to prevent any face off and hugh pay-off sums coupled with labour contentions, the staff of the less functional arm of the organisation were reposted to fill in vacant postions in other arms instead of bringing new hands and having reason to lay the old hands off. As it stands almost all the relevant staff in Port-Harcourt refinary have been posted out to other arms of the organisation and the process had started since 2020.

As for the contract staff no one is certain yet if they're going to absorbed them however that should be the most logical thing to do instead of bringing hands from outside and start another learning process.

Regarding this NCDMB, if you don't get any official response from the organisation by end of August then that recruitment process is completely canceled and everyone can should move on. That's the most I can say regarding this for now

Read my comment again to understand and not just to respond.
For your information, irrespective of who the person is, he/she has to go through the process to become a full fledged staff. Except the person is joining as a contract staff. I give it to nnpc on this standard!

Too much talk without proper reasoning is not making sense on this thread at all. Some people will just come out and open mouth waaaaa, thereby confusing the masses and the gullible.

Please let stop all this speculation.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nnpc Job Scam Alert! by roderick92: 3:54pm On Jul 26, 2022
kayspax:
shocked i received a call yesterday evening from an unknown number asking after my wellbeing with so much affection, my work and family. He later introduced himself as Engr. Daniel Uzo working at nnpc Phc.
That moment i realized he was a job scammer cuz i always receive such scam calls about doing contract together and sharing the profit 60/40. He went ahead to remind me where i served ,place of primary assignment, the company name and asked if i was retained after service (their usual routine)
In order to waste his credit i played along and told him i was not retained and i have since been looking for job.
He told me not to worry that God has remembered me today! ,he said nnpc is commencing recruitment next tomorrow but i should go and see one hr. person that he will direct me to, first thing tomorrow, so they can do a special test and interview for me which will exempt me from the general crowd of prospective employee, hence place me at advantage.
I played along by asking for the hr. person info. , at that point he dropped the call knowing fully well he has raised my curiosity. Anyway, i have this neighbor who work with a telecom company, he was there when i received the call, he eagerly gave me his fone to make call since he has excess credit, also the line can call out but cannot be called back. so i called the scammer and he continued with his sermon, to cut the long story short, he gave me the contact of the supposed nnpc hr. head at Kofo Abayomi in victoria island Lagos. He also instructed me to call immediately i dropped this call with him, i thank him profusely (playing along though) and call the HR madam ,she didn’t pick my several calls, I’m sure it was a calculated move to make me more desperate.

Dear Nairalnders pls share the story.. be aware and don’t fall victim for this miscreants, cuz a lot of youths has been duped, raped, killed and used for rituals by this damned souls.
Below are their details:
Engineer Daniel Uzo @ nnpc PHC. (09091842426) ---- scammer 1
Deaconess Janet ,hr. head, nnpc kofo Abayomi V.I Lagos (08035573817)....scammer 2
Anyone with useful police contact should revert so we can expose these criminals.
