For a graduate engineer trainee, NLNG pays better than all IOCs. The last entry level engineers were paid about 35M gross as at 2018. Even guys in IOCs will not hesitate to move to NLNG.

If it's the recently advertised Operators Trainee job with HND, they are taking them as a permanent staff. The ones taken some years back were flown to UK for a short training of some months. They were paid about 15M gross. Net was around 800k monthly excluding other allowances that I'm not aware of.

A job in NLNG is far better than NCDMB Job. Though NCDMB is superior to other federal government agencies like nnpc.

The main dangers facing southern tribes is far from just economic and political marginalization, there is existential threat of ethnic cleansing, which is enough reason why no sensible southern tribe should align with Fulani to grab power, but we saw that happen in 2015. I always say this, sending letters, protesting, shouting or wailing can never make any agency to recruit. Nobody can force any agency to recruit. The only situations where letters and petitions work is when there are irregularities in a completed recruitment, that is no federal character representation, MD giving 4 of his sons appointment letters etc. But if an MD decides he doesn’t want to recruit no one can force him. The FG will even side with him because that’ll mean less money spent on salaries and employee compensation.

Any letter now is just a waste of time because the people that are meant to fight for the common Man will be compensated with one or two slots and look away while the nepotism will be on play. This is life, i was part of DPR 2010 recruitment, after interview, those guys wanted to act funny and scrap both the nnpc and DPR but i remember it's an open letter we contributed money and wrote to diezeni and Goodluck that served us. though lots of didn't make it to the agency, a lots of us made it including some friends who didn't know anybody, even someone i know who knew the then former DD-Engineering & Standards didn't make it.. this life has no sure pattern, some of us can push with connections and it fails while some will push with stubborn faith and it will work... So my brother/sister always do your part in this world and leave the rest to act out.

Good day Friends and Well wishers of this recruitment, i have a suggestion for all here to ponder on and make thier own inputs. This recruitment we believe is from NCDMB or atleast from its Associates, no matter how stealthy they might want to make it look or make the world to think it's not from them, the facts is the world already knows to some extent its from them or at least, the facts is pointing towards their directions.. Therefore, my proposition goes this way;
1) Cant we officially write as a group of concerned Nigerians inquiring (freedom of information act) from Ncdmb and FCC copying SERVICOM and HMoSPR on the status of this recruitment they started in 2020. OR
2) As soon as we're arm with the necessary information and facts about the recruitment, we can proceed to send a delegation to the Secretary or HR office on a fact finding mission about the status of the recruitment.
3) A letter can also be written to the (Testmi, Quomos system) conductors/organizers of those exams seeking clarification and also copying necessary authorities on the status of the process they started aswell.

In all, i believe if we want to see a turn around, we must deviate from our usual mentality of waiting in idleness, keeping hope alive and celebrating idiotic updates which sometimes is decapitating our brains from thinking out a way. I believe in the can do mentality and to be honest with you guys inaction is a killer of dreams and destiny. Let's all put our heads together now and make a move, whatever moves we can think of, we can never tell what difference or impact it could make.

# I implore those of us who has link in FCC to start doing their findings there for clues (clearance, permissions, notices, memos etc) pointing the recruitment to NCDMB as this would be a good place to start from, since if we are writing to them, we need to provide them with all the necessary evidence and proofs to show they're the ones recruiting.

Most agencies hide their recruitment these days. I mean that's the reason we are all in nairaland looking for info on the latest recruitment. I was actually shocked when NHIS invited people for interview via whatsapp. It was advertised and some thought it was a scam. Welcome to Nigeria where recruitment don't follow any format or process... Atleast NCDMB was kind enough to give out clues in a public and widely read newspaper and conducted two aptitude tests and thereby giving those without any connection hope!!!

Mr Makeri isn’t even a staff of NCDMB. He is an nnpc staff that was on secondment to NCDMB between January 2020 to i think February 2021

You are very correct Michael. The staff of tertiary institutions are poorly remunerated in this country. Let's not even talk about secondary and primary schools.
However, while the issue of poor remuneration is one of the issues ASUU are agitating for, it isn't even the major issue. Our public tertiary institution are in dire need of funding for Research, Equipments, Hostel facilities, State-of-the-art technology, IPP etc. Else, we will keep churning out half-baked graduates with degrees/diplomas that are unrecognisable and unacceptable in other parts of the world. Nigerian universities really needs to start competing with other universities in the world and this can only be possible by adequate funding (which includes proper remuneration) of that sector.
Mind you, ASUU is also a corrupt body. VCs are also one of the most greedy set of people I have seen. Before the implementation of the TSA, IGRs in public tertiary institutions were mostly unaccounted for. Employment racketeering is still a menace in universities, with some VCs boldly keeping a percentage of the paltry salary of some newly employed staff for themselves. Therefore, it is important that while funding them adequately, there is a proper mechanism put in place to check corruption and misappropriation within the academic environment.

The institutions you mentioned make too much money for the government.

You don't expect to pay someone whose office generate billions daily ₦50,000 and complain when he steals. It's never done.

Compare ASUU with Nigeria police. Having said that, it is high time Nigeria education is deregulated to some extent. It's better to pay ₦500,000 per section and finish a course meant for five years in five years and not a day older. If you pay any less, you will balance off the payment by many years of strike and the worst thing to loose in life is time cause it's irreversible.

If you decide not to pay that much, you will sign a contract that will force you to work in public institution in Nigeria for a certain number of years before you japa. We can't pay for your school fees through subsidised education and the moment you finish, you run away.

I know many people will not be comfortable with my comment but "he who comes to equity must come with clean hands". If we citizens of Nigeria wants to hold the leaders accountable,we too should be accountable.

Let me see see how someone will pay 500,000 as school fees and ASUU will go on strike without the minister of education and labour not getting sacked the next day. This is a recruitment thread for NCDMB and for that purpose people share information based on what they hear from their sources. That being said, if you go through the thread thoroughly, you'd see that a lot of persons, not just newscastle has alluded to the fact that the recruitment is coming to a close. Heck even a renowned nairalander known for credible information, Tammyanybody (now deactivated) had stated since January that the recruitment will be completed mid-year. The thing about federal government agencies recruitment is that nothing is ever cast in stone. A recruitment that is alive today can be cancelled tomorrow and vice-versa. Those EH that participated in the nnpc recruitment can testify to that. Imagine a corporation as renowned as nnpc truncated an EH recruitment where people travelled from around the world for interviews without as much as a snippet of information. This was a recruitment that included as high a position as managerial level. The GMD just sat in his office and decided to truncate an open recruitment of over 400 positions. It just shows that FG agency recruitment are not reliable, there are no timelines and the level of bureaucracy in the processes are palpable. I'll just end with this, I applied for an FG agency opening which was contracted to a top consulting firm for screening and selection. Of course the consulting firm has completed the screening and selection based on its timelines from test stage to interview. Guess what, it's been over 3 months after the interview and the FG agency is yet to provide feedback on the issuance of APL. Even the consulting firm seem as confused as the applicants.

The other day, a moniker called somybliss or something like that said that I deserved to be tied to a stake and burnt to death just because I tried to make him know that peter obi may have been with 250 million cash, but tinubu too kept bullion vans in his house.

So, unless these projects / investments are directly tied to this recruitment, it's a tad difficult to understand why a recruitment that kickstarted in July, 2020 cannot be wrapped up after almost two years. The last time I was involved in such a long recruitment process was the 2019 nnpc recruitment for EH component. Those who participated know how it panned out...

Some of us are lucky to be gainfully employed while hoping for this recruitment to come to a conclusion, i shudder to think of what other applicants, who are solely banking on this recruitment for employment, are going through. May our expectations not be cut short!

Men anticipated to buy car, start project with upfront that never came. The thread was a season film.
From my findings, the EH component was cancelled immediately MKK came on board.

The take off of the two projects you just highlighted have nothing to do with the recruitment. Eraskon Nigeria Ltd is a private Lubes blending company owned by a Bayelsan, therefore, there is no basis for NCDMB to recruit and send to a private firm and this also applies to Duport.
