Bro, this is a very silly post from you. You are fond of arguing blindly without calming down to understand what the other person is telling you.

Let me first address the silliness of your accusations about my person. I have gotten my student visa. And I did it fair and square. No gimmicks. If you had only calm your hot blood and check my previous posts, you will won't utter this nonsense you have uttered here.

When you make a post and someone tries to correct you, rather than calming down to understand what the other person is saying, what you are concerned about is how to rush to respond to prove you are not wrong.

You resorted to an ad hominem in this case rather than read the post to understand what I'm saying.

My initial post was intended to educate you generally on how the UK study visa works because you obviously have no idea. Otherwise you won't have said a family application or spousal visa is easier to get with Canada than with the UK.

You were comparing Canada spousal open work permit with that of the UK and you said it is easier with Canada and even said Canada allows you work full time with any employer with open work permit. I initially responded to that post to tell you that it's the same with UK.

Then Osemigho came up to try to educate you further but your response was Canada open work permit is easy and straightforward if he knows his ways.

I felt the need to chip in (a big mistake in hindsight because you obviously can't hold your own in a proper debate without resulting to insults) and I highlighted reasons why it's easier with UK.

Now, here are some of the facts:

1. UK won't scrutinize for home ties. So study visa with accompany dependents gets approve a lot all the time.

2. UK won't scrutinize for lump sum. And again (whether you like it or not), people borrow proof of funds for it until their visa is out or till they land. You can assume whatever you like from this. I'm purely stating the facts.

3. With Canada, even when people get Mpower loan that covers their entire stay with all the documentation, they will still need to show some funds of their own.

4. Processing time is shorter with UK.

5. You don't need to present a truck load of documents with UK like we usually have to do with Canada.

I can go on and on.

Now the question is why then does it appear that Canada is most people first choice. The answer is simple. The pathway to permanent residency and citizenship is easier with Canada. And that trumps every other thing. So people are willing to go through the rigours that Canada puts us through to get their Visa. You will have every document required by Canada, have all the proof of funds even pay tuition but you will still have to explain yourself like your life depends on it in an LOE. And could still be rejected. Tell me how this is easier than UK.

Most people who couldn't stand the rigours usually run back to apply to UK and figure out their future from there.

I will stop here.

But a final note. If I wanted to borrow funds to show proof of fund to go to UK, I would have done it a long time ago. I won't have come back to apply to Canada 8 years after they refused me or wait all those years till I'm financially capable to do it fair and square. So next time don't come on a public forum and assume the worst of people you know nothing about.

If POF and and Home Ties make you think Canadian Visa is harder to get, then you are not playing by the rules and you are not ready to make your ways right.

This sounds unprofessional and dishonest of you, it corroborates the fact that you are not ready to mend your ways. In fact, this is an evidence that you are one of the people giving genuine Nigerians problems in getting Canadian visa. Your words encourage IRCC to make Nigerian processing time longer. In Poland, visa application and decision take 3 - 5 days despite backlogs. You are one of the people giving them evidence to treat Nigerians shabbily. Kindly desist from this kind of behaviour.

This is an evil ruling. Goes against their guidelines and is indefensible.

This is not how applications are processed, but by this ruling, they have protected themselves from any litigation on this front.

The guy showed enough funds for 2 full years for goodness' sake.

At that rate, the number of people who would be able to attend (common) U of Manitoba; not Harvard or anything else, will dwindle seriously.

As for the student, starting a uni program at 24 in Canada was always going to be negative. I suspect this is the real reason for his refusal.

Please reapply using the new portal with recent documents, you are not losing any spot. You will get a quicker response with the new portal. I did same thing as well.

You can’t link the two applications together. The GCkey is different from the new portal.

You do not have to contact IRCC.

You can have two applications running concurrently. You can’t apply for SOWP using the new portal, it is for SP and VV.

My journey and efforts to study abroad started in 2013 but I would fast forward it to 2015.
I tried several times to secure admission but no success until 2018 when I got admission in Seneca college.

First Application study visa submitted on 4 February 2019 through an agent but was refused 4 April 2019. Reason: Purpose of visit
Second Application study visa submitted April 18 2019, refused 25 May 2019. Reason: Purpose, Asset and TH.
Third Application - Visitor visa through an agent again. Submitted September 24, 2019. Refused 25 October 2019. Reason: No genuine business purpose.
Fourth Application through another agent- visit. Submitted 10 December 2019. After 2 months of submission I called for withdrawal due to the fact that the agent was not sincere.
I thereafter contacted Mr Frank who used his expertise to get me admission for Master program.
Fifth Application study visa submitted 24 August 2020 but was refused 24 September 2020. Reasons: Purpose, Asset, Ties and TH.
Sixth Application study visa submitted on 11 September 2021 but refused 27 October 2021. Reasons: Asset and Ties. At this point, I became frustrated and tired. But God just sent Makano to me and everything changed. He first of all calmed me down and encouraged me. He even gave me an instance of an applicant on this forum with similar experience of several refusals. After his consolation, Makano sacrificed and put in his best, with very affordable, I repeat very affordable fee for my Seventh application. Makano requested for my previous GCMS notes and after he studied them, he told me that once I provided him the documents he would request for, my next application would be approved. I just yinmu that what was this one saying, Lol. He also ordered me to pay full one year tuition. In fact en, that Makano is a wizard, I remembered one of my company clients (a diplomat) from one European country offered recommendation letter in addition to my application. Makano demanded for letterhead from the European Embassy if truly the diplomat wanted to assist. Well, his well packaged application was submitted on 11 January 2022 and PPR came 5 May 2022.

1. You will need to adhere to the visitor visa conditions to apply for a visitor visa. You would need to put a length of time that would appear reasonable and would not cause the visa officer to doubt that you are coming back home. For instance, if you have a job, a three weeks vacation to see your husband or a maximum of one month might appear reasonable. But, anything too far beyond that might cause the officer to be wondering how you can afford to be away for that long, and maybe you don't have anything to make you come back home.

I suggest that you apply for the spousal open work permit instead. You can apply for a Social Insurance Number (SIN), apply for jobs and support your husband financially in Canada. Also, you do not need to prove that you have a job to apply for a spousal open work permit since you have a husband who is legally in Canada as a student. But the case is different with a visitor visa. With a visitor visa, you would not be able to work based on the visit visa conditions. Some people come to Canada on visit visas and arrange jobs where they get cash in hand as a salary, but I would strongly not advise anyone to do that. It is better to obey their laws.

2. It is addressed in question one above. The length of time of your study for (a spousal Open work permit) will be limited to the duration of his study permit. He can then apply for PGWP upon completion of his studies and then PR; with that, the immigration status of you guys' changes, but you will still be there legally.

3. Travel history is a factor for a visitor visa, but approval can still be granted if proof of home ties is sufficiently explained. Still, it is much better if you go for a spousal open work permit, but you would need to prove means of financial support. 1) since this is a family reunification because my husband is a student in Canada, am I still expected to input date of arrival and departure? If yes, is using my husband study permit date which expire 2024 the right thing to do since my kids will be accompanying.

2) still on the dates, what is best to fill for family reunification since his study visa expires 2024 April

3) I don't have any travel history, how do I tackle this, thou I swore an affidavit of fact that I will return with my spouse, and also hoping to leverage my spouse travel history to promise replicating his attitude of respecting the rules of not over staying

You can reapply for a spousal open work if you have a valid job offer as the PGWP holder, check C41 exemption.

In other case, if your spouse is employed, she may get an employer-specific work permit too.

The SIN and study permit which are issued at the point of entry are important documents to be included in a spousal Open work permit or Visitor's visa of the accompanying spouse. Should you apply without these documents, your application will not be processed in a timely manner.

On the other scenario you mentioned, I will recommend that your spouse goes first before you can put in for your application to join her in Canada. This will considerably help her application build strong ties back home.

I said the same thing when I saw it. Very annoying. They increased waiting time but yet could not provide alternative arrangement for the wait.
