A shekpite mentioning the great Xavi in the same sentence with Lampard?
Xavi is greater than all the Chelsea legends combined!

Ronaldinho is an authority as regards soccer in the world. Sebod is just a moniker on nairaland, the person behind it might not have kicked plastic ball, all his life. The period ronaldinho was asking rijkaard to sign lampard was the period iniesta was playing average of 34 matches in laliga per season, with poor goal stats (2005 - 2008). This was a failure to ronaldinho, who saw a superior midfielder in lampard.
Below is ronaldinho's ucl best 11, messi who was junior to iniesta made the list. Lampard as expected pushed out iniesta from the list, i hope you can see ronaldinho's position clearly now. 'up barka fan' cheesy cheesy cheesy

See your life now, a list that contains fraud Terry is what you are showing us. Does the omission of Puyol make Terry better than him?

Tell us why you Messisah could not score just a goal in all the world cup matches he played while his Lord was putting up a top notch performance to deliver his country from the group of losers. Typical Shekpite grin

I have told you a team wins tournament, one tree doesn't make a forest. Ronaldinho had settled it long ago. It's just like messi asking enrique to sign courtois. You dont need to do brain surgery to understand that messi rates him higher than stegen.
It's just funny how you keep hammering on what Dinho said as at the time Lampard was at his peak while Iniesta was just fighting for a shirt in a team of Dinho, deco, xavi et all. Can you tell us the time the quote was said?
Lampard, with all his superior individual brilliance couldn't perform jack despite playing in a star studded team that boasted of many awards. Does that not tell you he's a failure at the international level? So why comparing a failure at the biggest stages to someone who won it all?
Your messiah would gladly sum all his goal+assists into just a goal only if that goal would deliver to him the most coveted trophy in the world of football.

I have answered this before. Messi couldnt do what sanchez did for his country, can we say sanchez sh1ts on messi? Just like ronaldinho, i prefer a midfielder that has superior goals and assists to the one who went a whole season without a single goal and assist.
We are not even talking about winning the finals now. All we ask is why his superior goals and assist amounted to nothing for his country. Not even a semi final appearance? Why oh why?
you prefer a midfielder with superior goals+assist who would disappear when the goals+assists are needed most.
We prefer the one whose few goals and assists deliver us trophies on the biggest stages. While one disappeared into the thin air when it mattered most, one staked his claim as one of the greats. The difference is clear bro.
Your Sanchez/Messi analogy is flawed because they both have performed on the biggest stages. What should we say about your Lord who doesn't have just a ONE WORLD CUP goal in his entire carrier( even when he had the chance of scoring one, he blew it, what he did for fun in smaller stages grin) while a goal from the don delivered the most coveted trophy to his country? What happened to his individual brilliance?

I like how you put goals and assists before other stuffs. Earlier, i thought you were saying goals and assists are not part of what you look for in player's individual brilliance. I am a bit busy offline i would have loved to tackle everything you wrote here. talking of tactical skills, because iniesta thrived in tiki taka doesn't mean he can adapt to tactical change. You cant say he is tactically better because he has been playing the same system all his life. As regards Long passes, are you saying iniesta shits on lamps on this? Even iniesta will slap you. moments of magic, show up when it matters most etc are just your coinages.

You cant expect me to leave work and be answering stvpid questions.
You don't have to be selective in your reply sir.
Tell us why your Messiah can't make his individual brilliance count for his country when they needed him most.

Your post has holes all over it. How do you rate a player's individual brilliance if goals and assists are not major? You think recycling ball is the only thing in individual brilliance? Can you tell me what is crucial in an attacking midfielder if assists and goals wont count? Ronaldinho preferred lampard to iniesta that time because of his goals and though he didnt mention it, ronaldinho would have benefited from his assists too.

Art of goal-scoring is not individual brilliance, right ? You should be the commander-in-chief of 'Up barka' fans.
You can't be talking of a player's individual brilliance and be limiting it to goals and assists bro. It doesn't work. So many factors have to be taken into consideration. such as: goals and assists, tactical skills, long and short range pass, creativity,on-the-ball mastery, tricks and ball control, dribbles, ability to dictate play, soak pressure, produce moments of magic and show up when it matters most.
Lampard trumps the Don in goal scoring+assists based on stats but lags in every other factor.
Iniesta, with his lesser goals+assists have not only appeared in the biggest of stages, but delivered top notch performances to ensure his team won. Can same be said of Lampard? What then are the usefulness of all the goals+assists if none has helped his team in the biggest stages?
Iniesta's few goals+assist did not only ensure his country become a force to reckon with in the world of football, he was a major force in the scheme of things.
Madrid, Man U, Juve, Arsenal, netherlands, Germany can all testify to Iniesta's brilliance having been on the receiving end due to his few goal+assists on the biggest stages. What can we say about your messiah?
Why can't he at anytime produce just a moment of magic to save his country from embarrassment? Instead of proving answers, you will be giving us excuses.

George weah didn't experience world cup in his life, he never won ucl. Does that mean strikers that won ucl in the past, should be rated higher than him? We are talking of player's individual brilliance, you are asking foolish question on something that is majorly determined by team's effort. Meanwhile, it is on record that lampard's goal against germany in the world cup q/final, was one of the reasons for innovation of goal-line technology. Ronaldinho really curved iniesta, by asking his coach to buy lampard.
The emboldened says it all sir.
Weah never experienced world cup and still earns his respect as a great footballer. But, nobody has praised him to high heavens while down playing the heroics of those that have experienced/won it. If weah was to be a Chelsea legend, many of you Shekpites would have told us how he's greater than Ronaldo De Limas and Messi's of this world.
You also killed yourself by mentioning individual brilliance bro. You guys have been using Lamps robust stats to brag and pull down Iniesta and not individual brilliance. That shouldn't have come from you as a pry one pupil knows that Lamps does not come close to the don when talking about individual brilliance. Stay true to your robust stats bro.
We have to ask you that foolish question because you guys keep putting Lamps to where he does not belong. I know the real you wouldn't have subscribed to such a claim in the 1st place, but you just have to give support to your fellow brothers, an hallmark of a typical shekpite.

Funny thing about these shekpites is that, they will berate Iniesta all they want using Lampard's G+A ratio. Yet, if I ask them if he is also better than Zidane, since Zizou didn't score or assist much, they will start giving silly excuses about Zidane playing in a 4-4-2 formation blah blah blah. These guys sha... I just tire for them.angry
The Shekpites have three things in common!
1. They bring on contradicting excuses just to defend whatever claim they are making. They'll tell you today that Messi thrives because he has good team mates and come back tomorrow to rubbish all the players and label them average.
You'll read today how Messi and Xavi alone led Barca to glory and tomorrow list out players like Busi, Iniesta, Piqué, Puyol et all as brilliant chaps behind Barca's successes. Which one do we believe?
2. Whenever one of their popular members makes a submission, they all rush in to like and give their support without making any attempt to find out if the claim is true or not.
3. They hate and berate anything good as long as it does not come from them. And the hate becomes worse when they have been a victim of that something good grin

That's why they are Shekpites!

However, trying to play down Lamps' achievement as a soccer legend is criminal in its entirety. Be guided accordingly..
You still fail to get my points sir! This message should be preached to the shekpe fans who have always down played Iniesta's achievements while parading Lampard as their Messiah. I make bold to say this: it's easy to down play lamps achievements as he never showed up where it mattered most as against the don who had seen it all. You can't be padding stats against the minors and fail to show up in the biggest of stages and be expecting to be ranked among the greats.
Lamps himself would give up all his goals+assists just to appear in a world cup final let alone winning it, something Iniesta did by being the main man.
So bro, as long as your guys keep berating Iniesta's achievements, Lampard remains a nobody in the world of footie. Preach to them not us!

There is absolutely no need comparing these 2 guys. They both paid their dues in their own ways.
Iniesta was a fantastic player for Spain and Barca between 2007 and 2013 and won lovely trophies along the way. Lampard, on the other hand, had a great time playing for his club between 2003 and 2012, winning some trophies and setting some mad goal records. I am sure if you ask them both about their football careers, they will tell you they are satisfied with how things panned out. Nuff said mehn

You guys here are funny sha, still arguing with Ibime on this same old topic?
Ibime once claimed Iniesta was the best in the world and even declared him better than his Lord Lampard.

Years later, he changed his mind as he's become older and and well rounded. Since he'll still be getting better as he grows older, there's a high tendency that he'll still change his mind on some certain issues. And as such, don't be surprised when he looks back, check what exactly the goals and assists of Lampard helped his country achieve and couldn't get one despite the array of stars he played with, checks for his contributions in the major finals he's played and couldn't find any convincing one, he might finally declare him a fraud.

Bro, I agree with Sircumalot. It is too soon. I laughed at Koscielny and De Gea their first season(s). Some criticized KDB at Chelsea. Wow, the most recent was Conte. He was trolled and trolled I thought he would outdo Mou and finish 15th. Even the great Sir Alex said CFC weren't in the title conversation. Boy, was he wrong.

I have seen the great aspects of Stones' game. That boy can pass and move with the ball almost like a world class midfielder. Watch that Tottenham game that City lost 2-0 especially the second half when Tottenham were pegged in their own half. Stones moved the ball on 3 different occasions into dangerous spots at the edge of Tottenham's box and he gave many decent passes all game.

Gaffes will come with a young player. What makes players improve is decision making. That's why Neymar has not yet been crowned WPOTY. His decisions sometimes are questionable. Same as Chamberlain, Pogba or Coman (I told A40) or any touted talent of the game.
You've got some very valid points I must confess. My problem with many English players is their inability to justify their heavy price tag. Let's just hope the case would be different with John.
