Chelseafan1: See as u dey throw am to me like na u be prosecuting counsel...lol
I was clearly talking about this season by including Pool as a title contender, they have no European commitment and are still much better than Spurs over all....
I for one cannot say who is gonna win the league but I can tell you its gonna be either city, Pool or Chelsea. Based on this your nice submission, since Sevilla are also looking good presently, I can tell you the league is gonna be either Barca, Madrid, Atletico or Sevilla. Agreed? |

Chelseafan1: Man Utd will still get back to their feet, they have the players and Mou is still a top coach, forget the banters and all, Liverpool is looking rejuvenated, so, we can't conclude the EPL is a 2 horse race.
Arsenal is just always there to mark attendance and make the top 4, maybe that might change soon, maybe.
Just like I submitted earlier,
First Tier right now has Liverpool, MAN city and Chelsea, (a spot is reserved for Manutd till they start getting it right) thats 4 strong teams
2nd Tier has Arsenal, Spurs, I can't think of any other team that comes close.
These are teams that have quality future star players in abundance, some of the players Madrid, Barca might eventually poach away in the nearest future.
Ddippset, I am still expecting your thoughts on what I posted to you. If Liverpool could be counted as part of tittle challengers because they look rejuvenated, then we have to also count Sevilla who pummelled same Liverpool last season as a title challenger too. No? You don't expect me to take your tier 2 as part of serious contenders, that leaves me to only your tier 1 to access. Your tier one has City, Chelsea and Liverpool. and, according to your logic in your question 'when last did Spur win Epl' Liverpool should be struck out of the list because we can't even remember when last they won the league. That leaves me with only Chelsea and City. I put it to you again based on your logic bro, can we regard the Epl as a two horse race? Bearing in mind you personally deleted Spurs from the list, you have also admitted Arsenal are only pretenders. |

Now someone is asking when Spurs last won the league, When did Arsenal or Liverpool win last to be included? Lol...contradiction everywhere. suddenly Spurs are not part of the six epl chasers because they sit fifth on the log |

Chelseafan1: Lol, Sebod and Dmcdad, I for one have never been part of the argument, however, its obvious to all that Man utd are enduring arguably their worst spell right now just as it was with Chelsea last year.
Arsenal is always up there as a top 4 team, we all know that, its not always easy for them to win the league, all this one they are doing na IGG, the real serious guys, serious contenders over the years are, I'll like to group them:
Tier 1 Chelsea Man city Man Utd (b4 Fergie left)
This season, truth be told, right now, it is like a 3-horse race between Man city, Pool and Chelsea, forget the other dead teams.
Tier 2 Arsenal Spurs Liverpool( a strong team too but its just not easy for them to win it even tho, they have been impressive this year though.)
A perfect example of why the EPL is crazy is Leicester winning the league last season against all odds, maybe the big guys were just average or Leicester really deserved it, that's another topic on its own, what I sha know is that, we are still waiting for when Deportivo or even Malaga will win the LaLiga, Liezpeg or Hoffeinheim will win the Bundesliga, Crotone or even Fiorentina will win the Serie A like fvccking Leicester won the EPL.
Dmcdad has said it all. And, going by this your submission, since the era of Fergie has gone never to come back again, can we conclude the Epl is also a two horse race between City and Chelsea? Also, going by this your honest submission, can we conclude there's no regular six Epl chasers as most have always claimed? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by sebod(m): 4:47pm On Nov 23, 2016 |
airmark: The reason they might come with 6 teams is that, every season recently, some of the big 4 (man utd, man city , arsenal , chelsea)are being displaced . Especially last season. Compared to la liga where we have barca, real and atm most of the time sharing the top3 spots. you should grab their points.
Everyone knows it. From kigali to goa, la liga title is among those known 3. Unless you want to deceive yourself.
La liga is a 2/3 horse race, that is 1000% correct. Meanwhile why shouldn't it be with regards to the current table? You would have had a solid point if spurs is in first 3 on epl table, because that would definitely show how poor epl is, at present. Man city , arsenal and even leicester are not doing badly in ucl, spurs at the moment are having bad time. Their poor run recently in epl, is a confirmation and definitely reflectiing in ucl. So you had no point to relegate epl's quality on that basis. Lol.... la liga is 2/3 horse race, and Atletico is currently sitting 6th on the table. using your logic, since Spurs can no longer be regarded as part of the regular six epl chasers because of their current position on the log, then, Atletico is automatically out of the race leaving only Barca and Madrid. By the way, I am still expecting the regular six Epl contenders every season since Spurs should not be counted as one. |

gustav25: What have my eyes not seen Chelseafan1, I hope you saw this? I am sure you can't disagree with the six teams that always chase the league as that's what many of you guys have been preaching. Since Spurs are now fifth on the log because they have won just one game in the last five, Man U also are below them on the log, therefore, the two clubs are out of the list according to your latest post. Kindly list the teams that make up the six clubs chasing the league for clarity sake.

Chelseafan1:

See as u give Sebod better shut up. Is this the best you can come up with after all the Epl this Epl that you guys have been shouting up and down? Chelseafan1: When was the last tym Spurs won the league? Oh oh oh oh! So, you mean Tottenham is no longer a fire power that's always counted among the six clubs that make the league so competitive? Please, what's the position of United on the log? And are they also not part of the big teams that always compete for the league? Since Spurs and United are not up there on the log, can we conclude that the Epl is a two horse race between Chelsea and City bearing in mind the fact that Liverpool have not won the league for years, have always been down down the log and Arsenal have proved they can't win the league again? If not, can you please list out the clubs that make up at least the six teams that always vie for the title? |

airmark: Spurs that could only win 1 out of their last 5 epl matches?. Ofcourse, we can also say real sociedad is a la liga title contender because they are number 5 on the table, just like tottenham. Bros, my post is with no regards to the current table. We have always heard how la liga is a two horse race while over six teams compete for the Epl which makes it more competitive than any other league. Or is Tottenham no longer part of the six teams because they are currently sitting fifth on the log? Would that mean Man United are also not part of the teams that compete? |

dmcdad: I've already given Sociedad the points. If we disappoint me and get the win, then a miracle. The match against Celtic in the UCL will give me another chance to examine the team again and decide if to still keep hope alive or just be prepared for the worst this season. Over 90% of our players are not living up to expectation. Alba, Rakitic, Masch, Suarez, Neymar, Busi have all been having shaky performances here and there. Pique and Umtiti have agreed never to play together. The next three games would determine what we should hope for this season. |

I am sure of two things as a football fan: nigeria cannot get to the world cup final with everything being politicised in the countruy. Argentina too cannot win a world cup even with Messi as long as players like Higuian, Aguero et all are still part of the team.
But, in case destiny has it that way, it's Naija all the way even though I have stopped watching their games long time ago. |

airmark: What villain treatment to south american players in epl are you talking about? Have you experienced racist action where you see the onlookers joining in mocking you for doing nothing wrong? If you are wack, you accept whatever is thrown at you. Not a quality player like etoo would accept trash. Osaze despite being a bit fair in complexion, was chased away from russia by racism. You can tolerate racism/bias actions from opponents but not from the same team you have sweated for to win laurels. No quality player would be in etoo's shoe and would not react. You dont treat a legend like sh1t. Don't expect everyone to pick banana thrown at him and eat it, like alves. Most of you barca fans didnt know why etoo was hitting his skin after scoring in that ucl final against man utd.
