The guy you're referring to has responded here, you can follow him there, get all necessary info on d land and do ur background checks to confirm the authenticity of the land before you pay.

I never run o, but a lot of my dough is stuck in oando and skye bank and am not ready to sell @ a loss, l dnt mind a long term wait anyway.
I am actually based in ph, but am from lbadan and the farm is @ Ogbomosho.
The jatropha guys eventually contacted me and completed the planting of 1,200 seedlings today, hoping to buy and plant another 1,000 seedlings to complete the perimeter hedge of the farm.
Am getting ready for next year to plant watermlon and plantain on d land.
If we can't make enough money on nse dis year, we get to make big dough from plantain next year. Lol!

I just had a similar discussion with a friend yesday, my company practically tax everythng including car grants,housing allowy, 13th month, leave bonus,security allowy even seasonal gift. Sometimes my tax is abt 26% of my gross salary.
I dnt mind if am in UK or US and l have access to social amenities, but l get angy here cuz despite this huge tax l still drilled my bore hole, depend mainly on gen and inverter for power, pay for estate security cuz non is provided, contribute money to facelift d roads leasing to my estate, arrange for my own refuse disposal agent amomg many more.
But what can we do, but just suffering and smilling.

Thanks for this information contrary to an earlier response in this forum that there is no monkey invasion in this part of the country.

A farmer I asked told me that one of the potent ways of sending them away is to catch one and tie small bell or any object that can make serious sound/noise on the monkey and release the monkey. According to him, other monkeys will keep running away from this particular one as long as this strange noise emanate from it until they all leave the vicinity.
He claimed it works so well in his farm, he actually caught about 3 and these 3 chase all of them away from the vicinity.

Has anyone heard or tried this before?

Lesgupnigeria: i know monkeys may pose a challenge to plantain because they like it so much.
Monkeys are common in the northern part of the country but plantain are not being grown there because of the unsuitability of their farmlands for plantain.
No case of monkey invasion has been reported in the south because the possibility of monkey specie in the south is near zero and plantain where monkeys are present in large numbers are not being grown in there.

Bros, there are monkeys in the south as well o.l've heard reported cases of monkey invasion, even a farmer l met recently complained dat he experienced it on his farm at Ogbomosho.
