when people say it is the government, I say no it is the people, some tend to debate it.
if we are willing to fight corruption, let's face the people and not government. government is just an innocent entity filled with bad people.
purge the entity of the bad element then you see the system function. I am bad, You are bad, Everyone in the system is worse for it.
no Nigerian is a saint, that man calling out the president is worse than Mr President.

OP I hope you are not fooling yourself that this location is in Nigeria? It look similar to what Rwanda was celebrating online Yesterday. The Nigerian Government is still so crude and they don't know anything apart from their old craft corruption. Investors are going to East Africa and ignoring Nigeria because of the bribery culture of our wicked impostors and the lack of security to do business
Police Bribery and a lot of challenges are chasing investors to more saner African countries I hope you are not presenting a Lie to Nairalanders?

Its an assembly plant.
Possibly they might be the one that assemble the one you used to type this.

Like foxcom in China,
Owned by Taiwanese. The biggest assembling plant for phones and every other types of electronics.
Yet, they have no gadget to their name.

It's a good development.
thanks for the light.

you make my heart strike and run spikes with the harm you said I've caused someone.
I mean no harm and never meant to cause any reason I held back the location ID. if at all I have, I am sorry I really I am.

100 naira and you are complaining go and print the form for free now someone donated the generator they are using at that same center when he came to register and discovered there was no light he took his personal money to buy a gen set and left it behind for people like you to use some. others when they come and there is no fuel they buy fuel with their personal money not like you. governments are not responsible for anything called materials in that office. so when someone that is wise sees opportunity to bring the form you are supposed to generate with money close to you it is wisdom and not fraud that girl you met at ebenfem filling station is just an orphan who is wise than your children
learn to be civil, what my post got to do with mentioning my children. your game ain't my business.
you could have being straight and square with your point than touting about it.

I know the center you are talking about and the name of the fuel station let me hide the name of the center as you did but to prove I know what am talking about the name of the fuel station is ebenfem. but the truth is that you are to generate the form on line yourself because government is not making any provision for the forms to generate the form at any caber cafe will cost you at least 200. now where you need to be enlightened is if someone now comes up with the idea of generating many copies to sell to people who intend to register it is called wisdom. because of 100 you are complaining it was someone that donated the generator set they are using at that same center you talking about. when he wanted to register and was told he should wait for NEPA light he took his own personal money and buy gen. Oga go and sit down and use your brain along with your pen. you owe those people apology
I want to believe you are one of the staffers over there.
but you could have made your point without insult, it doesn't make you seem better off.

that is not the point!
Christianity is not indigenous to us
The point is that “why are we acting more catholic than the pope”?
exactly the point, the same way we did our traditional religion and gods, we did the so called foreign God.
same respect, believing sacrilege and all. being holier than thou has been in us even before the advent of the foreign gods.

I pick no offence since no insult is passed.
do you at all view it from this angle, the positive and negative charges.
if through their religion we stopped the use of human for sacrifice, the killing of twins, etc, the positive sides then it is worth it.
if through same religion we are importing indecency into our society it is not worth it.
no harm in learning and adopting but when you learn and adopt from the positive angle then we are on point.

The this is a direct case of playing safe while institutionalizing corruption.
Now I get the gist...

The NIMC staffers do not want to be directly involved in the hoax so as to be unindicted should in case of uncovering.

The petrol attendant /Station is their extortion (selling) point.
exactly the case.

Not true. I did my pre-registration online, got to the center with my print out, but my genuine print out from the NIMC website that had barcode was not accepted. They said I must buy form N50. That's that their system there, my print out was not taken. The Nigerian Civil Service is a hotbed of corruption.
you said it all, the civil servants are worse criminals than even politicians, but they would be the first to call out politicians.

One of the ways to be explore entrepreneurship is by being innovative and creative.
The say that to make money, look for a void (I.e what people needs that's far from their reach) and fill it.
She has only done that.
She went online, printed the form and mass copied them so as to redistribute to the rightful people that needs it at a cost of N100 while going about her salaried job as a pump attendant at the Petrol Station.
She'll also submit the form on your behalf to the nearest NIMC office or probably the one close to her residence.

Young lady, may you sour higher in your pursuit for financial freedom.

Should in case you don't want to pay the N100, then go to the authentic NIMC office. Simple...
you ain't getting it, the centre told people to go there for form then return to them for processing.

Just a figment of your imagination.
You know absolutely nothing about Igbos
yeah! a figment of my imagination, which goes a long way to count.
I advise you don't allow sentiment becloud your sense of judgement.
my earlier assertion stands "even if at all apc is fielding and igbo candidacy the truth is the entire south east would vote against that individual.

they would rather vote an atiku or any pdp candidate than an apc igbo candidate."
now the second game play is this, .......if pdp presents a an igbo candidate, apc would counter it with an alternative. if apc decide to play the igbo card pdp would play a northern card in other to seize power.
except it is standard procedure to follow then this would come true. another play here is apc won't play the igbo just for stand of the Igbo's towards the party.

Good morning to all the comrades on nairaland.
please, i would like to know if this is the standard procedure.

I was at one of the NIN centre in Abeokuta on Friday 4th of October, to get myself registered, on getting there I inquired from people I met on ground how to go about things.

I was told to go out to a nearby fuel station to get the form. at the station, the fuel attendant (a lady to be precise) told me I am to pay a fee of a hundred Naira before I can get the form.

Questioning the act the young lady only turn to whatever it was she was reading before my arrival without giving a damn I was there standing. after I payed for the form, i returned to the center to fill out the form only to hear people at about 5 minutes past 10, saying they've stop the collection of form till the next day which would be today Monday.

Please is it the standard procedure to buy this form as a citizen or a foreigner intending to naturalize?

N. B. I intentionally held back the name of that centre for now.

Both parties should field Igbo presidential candidates to ensure an Igbo man (South East) emerges the president in 2023. That's all we're saying.
I don't want to play the tribal card here but we can't but play it.
even if at all apc is fielding and igbo candidacy the truth is the entire south east would vote against that individual.
they would rather vote an atiku or any pdp candidate than an apc igbo candidate.

my brother, you can say that again.
I went to one of their centres in abeokuta to get this thing done, to my surprise I was told to buy the form for a fee of a hundred Naira. not even within the premises where the registration is being done but at a fueling station nearby.
one of the fuel attendant sold the form (a young lady to be precise). I did purchase the form though, returned to the center to fill the form only to be told at exact 5 minutes past 10, they have stop attending to people.
just imagine.
