we never claimed we were force to join Nigeria.

The british gave great autonomy to the 3 regions in the Macpherson Constitution. Lagos was basically responsible for a few exclusive items...while the regions were powerful. That was the nigeria all of us signed up for.

The coup of 66 however led to the ethnic cleansing of poor igbo traders in the north who were not consulted b4 Nzeogwu started killing people. Poor traders who are only ironsi's kin by name. What was worse...gowon claimed he should not be blamed for the killings...just as buhari says he is not to be blamed for the crisis in middle belt.
That was how biafra became an option. And then the north immidiately changed our consititution to wat will favour them.

On the case of ikwerres. They are an igboid group who benefited from the coal trade. There was already a port in calaba...but because the british wanted the largest tribe of the east (the igbos) to dominate in the region, they decided to build a port city in igboland for export of coal from enugu. That was how ph came about. Then the diobu chiefs didnt say they were not igbo. During the regional govt, the ikweres never said they were not igbo...why do u think we would take them serious now.

Let me ask u...if nigeria breaks up and lagos refuse to join Yoruba land and opt to go it alone...do u think every Yoruba man will not pick up arms and fight them?

Look it one thing for a clear ethni group like ibibio to say they dont want to be part of biafra...and its another thing for an igbo-speaking community to say they dont want to be part of igboland.

I keep telling my people...if u want an independent nation, stop chasing all south south and only chase the igbo speaking parts of south south. With igboland intact and secured, the igbos can seek self rule from nigeria and achieve it faster than attaching all south south.

This is why compared to Europeans for example, Nigerians have a lot of ethnicities. A ridiculous proliferation of groups where any tiny clan with any tenuous distinction claims to be an independent tribe. It is worse of course among Igbos/Igboid groups. What I always find weird about the arguments of South South Igboid groups is their inability to grasp that their conceptions of Igbos as a monolithic group that differs from them makes no sense. When I schooled in UNN, I had this roommate in my first year from Enugu Ezike, and when a cousin of his visited him and they were speaking, their language might as well have been Icelandic or Finnish or Mandarin to my ears. I could barely comprehend anything they were saying in their hardcore dialect. There are significant cultural/linguistic differences between many Igbo clans. I could bet you that your so-called "Ndo-Osimili" clan have more in common with an Idemili man than an Idemili man has with an Ezza man in Ebonyi.

All I can say is the divide and rule antics of the North, particularly through the post-war military administrations has succeeded in the South. They are political geniuses up North to be able to advance common goals as a monolithic bloc while we fragment ourselves almost down to villages claiming to be distinct ethnicities.

Bro let me tell u the simple truth...there is no igbo people who doesnt have that complex history aboh has. We all came from different origins in igbo land. As an udi man from enugu state my origin and dialect is as different from an ngwa man's as u think aboh is from the rest of igbo.

But if Nigeria ever breaks up, let me tell u the simple truths that u can take to the bank
1. Every igbo speaking area will be part of Igboland.

2. ...no igboland will be allowed to go into a Niger Delta Republic.

3. What the ikwere or the ika say is irrelevant...we know for a fact that all igbos do not have the same origin. So ikwere or ika folklore about origin has nothing to do with them being igbo or not.

4. Its a matter of survival for the igbos...if we wont get the old biafran map, we would definitely have to get the full Igbo map...down to opobo. because without it we would be landlocked. If having igbo rivers or igbo delta is not a matter of survival for ss minorities...then best hands off on them. We die here.

5. You can call us land grabbers, biafrans (shake your head) or say every tribe hates us.. but how come we are not claiming ibibio or ijaw or bini or any of the many tribes that surround igboland? Why are we only claiming igbo speakers in ss?

6. We know for a fact that anioma and ikwere would have been proudly igbos if they were all carved into south east by gowon.

7. A repeat of point 4. If Nigeria ever breaks up...igbos will only have 3 options
a. Get the full biafran map
b. Get the full Igbo map
c. Die trying

For now...claim anything u want...we are under one nigeria and thats not changing anytime soon

On paper true, but on reality false. Ika-Ukwuani are Igbophobic, only Aniocha-Oshimili are Iphophilic. Now compare the statistics and you will observe it’s 5/10.
