The other day it was cross River,..now it's Rivers.. Niger Delta Republic is an audio Republic that only surfaces whenever Igbos mention Biafra. Truth is most Igbos would gladly remove you from the equation if it wouldn't mean Biafra being surrounded on all sides by Nigeria (the actual aim of the state creation of 1967) |

By the way,if you're banking on Mr Kanu to lead you in the war, then bro, that's the beginning of the failure. the war is already ongoing and you are talking of lead you in a war. Do you think the war must be like the first? |

michelz: " If that means war,so be it". smh. After "achieving" those things during the war,he ran away with his family and left Igbos to continue to die in the thick of the war. He didn't even have the balls to surrender. He ran away only for him to return after normalcy has been restored to contest for a political office in the same country that he so abhorred. Now Mr Kanu is leading gullible Igbos to the same path from far away abroad where he and his family are safe. You're on your own, Oga. We make war to live in peace. Go and Google how many wars were fought in Europe before 1945. It will be a joke for some Nigerians to think they can colonize the Igbo ...it won't happen...not when some Igbos still draw breathe |

TMKsouth: Yes, we meet again . What are your opinions on the topic? my honest opinion is that South Africa more than any other black country has been built on a solid foundation to rival European countries. You guys should not let us down. Stop looting legitimate businesses of your fellow blacks in drug-induced rage just because you think they are the cause of your high unemployment. South Africa is a large country... your government should come up with a policy of immigration to attract at least 1 million upward mobile professionals from around Africa to come and build a truly world-class country. Canada, US and Australia are currently doing it. UK and Ireland plan to start it (for Hong Kongers) There are many professionals around Africa looking to move to Canada and Australia who south Africa can gain if you start implementing better policies Let's just agree that Johannesburg has seen better days

IronGalaxy: You said EVERYTHING in South Africa is WESTERN which is not possible in an African country. Our African practices and rituals can't be western.
Secondly, what is this thing called "white development" please elaborate on that..I have a feeling you don't know what you're talking about. this dude again. It's only people who don't know the history of South Africa you will deceive As at 1960 there were only 400 black south Africans in university. By then, Nigeria was already an independent country with two universities. By 1980, the Afrikaans government had already finished plans to move you unproductive negroes into 'Bantusans' so they can finally remove you guys from their sights. By then Nigeria was already the 3rd largest economy in Africa after Egypt and south Africa. Seeing you Bantu south Africans acting like you built south Africa while the rest of Africa was sleeping boils my blood The pictures below is south Africa in the 80s. It was more developed than Los Angeles as at then and it wasn't built by you Bantustans

Raph82: God punish awolowo and his colleagues who fought for early independence for Nigeria just because of their selfish interest (to become leaders), had it been they let things be as they were, those whites would have turned Nigeria to modern day Japan before thinking of taking over from the whites. That was what helped SA. Those whites had developed SA to good standard before Mandela and co fought for power shift. Awolowo and Zik fought for nothing. What ended British colonialism was world war 2. Was it Zik that also fought for Ghana, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania? Go and check the dates of their independence you will see they were all around the same period. Europe simply came to Africa to reorganize the continent so they can trade with us without war. So they can pay with their money instead of our local systems of exchange like cowries. At the height of British colonialism in Nigeria there were less than 200 whites living in Nigeria On the other hand whites settled in South Africa as far back as 1645. They have lived in South Africa for 400 years and their intention was to eliminate the Blacks like in Canada, Australia and U.S....it didn't work. White population in South Africa was over 5 million in 1980 |

Rugaria: Even after Azikiwe, there were chances missed. Ironsi was Supreme Commander for 6 months but chose to surround himself with northern officers. He was that comfortable because he was a typical "Lagos boy" who lived most of his lives outside igboland.. St the initial stages of the war, Ojukwu could have easily submitted to one of the Super Powers and gotten the arms and diplomatic support he needed, and 3 million lives wouldn't have been lost The east could have been free of all these today. He didn't as he prevaricated! Ojukwu studied st Kings College Lagos as a young boy, where his Yorubas was as fluent as that of any other Yoruba kids. Zik messed up , because as a well trained political scientist, he was best intellectually prepared than either Awolowo or Sarduana for all those pre/post colonial political wars..
But what many Igbos always hurry to overlook is the fact that these 3 Igbos I just mentioned, were either born outside igboland or had their early orientation and education in life outside igboland! Even Nzeogwu spoke Hausa more than igbo! Zik was born in Zungeru Niger state. The same with Ojukwu! Ironsis mother or father was trailed to Sierra loen. So what? It meant that at every turn, they had emotional attachments to different parts of Nigeria which inhibited their abilities to be very ruthless in their decision making at decisive points in history. They had childhood friends and classmates all over the place. Four of them were born outside igboland and were very fluent in different Nigerian languages... totally immersed in different cultures across the country! They were not the best representatives of the Igbos at those crucial moments. Zik sacrificed a lot for the socalled one Nigeria project to the detriment of the Igbos! It makes you wonder what was their for the Igbos for him to do so, but dude wasn't your typical igboman. He was actually a real "Nigerian". You are quite right. But I blame Zik the most. Ojukwu gaffed by not courting USSR and accepting to be a 'communist country' like North Korea and Cuba at the time. But the truth is, USSR was engaged elsewhere in cold war with the US. They may not have helped much Aguiyi. I blame Aguiyi for not handing power over to civilians immediately calm was restored. And I blame him for not moving decisively to arrest Murtala and Gowon and for not executing Nzeogwu and Ifeajuna (Ifeajuna led the coup not Nzeogwu) But you see Zik baa...he was the person in the best position to declare us independent. He became the Premier in 1953 and by 1957, The Common Wealth of Eastern Nigeria was given FULL independence alongside The commonwealth of Ghana and the commonwealth of Western Nigeria. Oil was discovered in commercial quantity in the east by 1957. Oil was already a major money spinner worldwide. Zik was asked to declare us independent and in exchange, the house of chiefs would make him king of East Nigeria. Zik could have used the instrument of Act of Parliament to pull us out of a federation with Nigeria in 1958. Remember Pakistan had already done it in India. New Zealand had already done it with Australia. Qatar and Bahrain would later do it with UAE. British would have done nothing since it was done democratically. Zik refused, abandoned the East, went back to Lagos and became the senate President. Shouting one Nigeria upanda without calming to ask if his people needed one Nigeria. What should we do now? Buhari is doing what's best for his own people.... including his people in Niger Republic |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Consulate In Saudi Helping Niger Republic Citizen, Ignored Nigerians by selemempe: 9:40am On Apr 02, 2021 |
The worst thing that happened to Igbos was the day the Oil Rivers became a British protectorate. But mumu zik had an opportunity to correct it after the Eastern Region was carved out from Southern Nigeria and basically handed over to him. He was busy playing Lagos politics instead of moving to declare The Eastern region independent. Now look at majority of igbos practically spending their lives scheming on how to relocate to overseas. Moral of the story is always do what is best for your people as a leader not what is best for you, because you won't be a leader forever. Moses could have just decided that instead of attempting to leave Egypt that it was better for the children of Israel to stay and join Egyptian politics after all he was close to pharaoh already. How wrong he would have been! God punish Nnamdi Azikiwe |
