RabbiDoracle:
The low seems to have passed. All it needs to do now is to stay up at a level. Most stocks worldwide are doing same. The wealth transfer has happened.

So na to siddon inside plane and be reading newspaper.

The money printed worldwide must enter NSE. A friend showed me the loan that his banks are offering him. It was at 0.01% per month. This is a wicked money. Money that can cause excessive price rise. grin grin

He needs to come to the level of market irrationality,

He is still living at logic level. grin
emmanuelewumi:
Zenith bank at N5.00 with outstanding shares of about 30 billion.

Will give you a market capitalisation of N150 billion.

That is the madness exhibited in the market, just be liquid or have enough cash flow that will enable to make profits from the irrationality of the market.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 9:21pm On Mar 31, 2020
@loco you don start again, NSE closing price is 9,2 all your looks and assumptions matter less. grin
locodemy:
I am not looking at the 150k block units traded at 9.20.
It actually traded 8.90 and was the closing price.

The chart is not bullish
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 8:34pm On Mar 31, 2020
It closed 9,2 grin
locodemy:
Did Wapco closed at 8.90 today?
O di kwa risky o.

Upon the board meeting yesterday.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 2:30pm On Mar 31, 2020
Well what I know is that all manufacturing are in same shoe.

Untill results are out assumptions are not adequate,

Dangsugar 9+
Dangcement 116+
Unilever 10+
BUA 31.8+
Cadbury 6+
Jberger 22+
Flourmill 19
Nascon 8.5
OKomu 55+
Presco 36+
PZ4+
Nestle 841

Who does the selling into these low prices?
Thinking WAPCO should be different is out of order Sir.
Even with the best of figures as JB, the price may not move........ time is not in support sentiment is rulling now.

PETERiCHY:
Since March 16th that marks their close period can't we see that some folks are coded and constantly dumping at N9 huh
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 12:12pm On Mar 31, 2020

I like this oga, I swear! He's the true bargain hunter. I only pity those that jumped on the WAPCO bus when you were heavily praising them here...lol. I remembered telling one oga here in JANUARY when it was sub N17 that I would pick my WAPCO latter on at sub N9, he thought I was crazy and unrealistic. Now we're picking at N8.55 - N9 with no stress grin grin grin. Let's see the direction of today's market.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 10:23am On Mar 30, 2020
In some places in Nigeria this could not be a problem. You know in your PHC most house owners are their own water corporation grin
RabbiDoracle:
We need to start thinking of the effect of staying at home on Water supply.

Increased washing of hands, bathing, drinking water, cleaning and disinfecting could put pressure on water supply.

Can the rate of water treatment be quickly overwhelmed by the demand for water?

Once this happens, then there will be severe crisis.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 10:18am On Mar 30, 2020
That has always been antidote to fear grin
RabbiDoracle:
This is a reporting week. Till April.

I want to believe that everything has been priced into the stock prices. Some Oil sector stocks have fallen 70% max grin grin

Cruise lines stock declined at a max of 80%

So wetin remain.

The stock can't be priced at zero nauw. grin grin

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 9:17pm On Mar 28, 2020
This is a tough love grin buying at 1400 and reduced to 800 in the name of defensive stock shocked
Mcy56:
Prof, in my layman's understanding, Nestle is a defensive stock.
In a situation where FPIs are involved and selling off, we don't expect Nestle to remain static and not partake in the price shedding.
One of the reasons could be attributed to FPIs having quite a large chunk of the total shares; remember Nestle is not even a Nigerian owned coy and has large number of expatriates, I stand to be corrected. grin
Aside, major panic selling such as the type witnessed this month, it can only take deep pockets to sell 100k block units that can either move the price up or down, which comes once in a while, thus making the stock to maintain its price for a long time even if it's trading at day's low/high intraday.
Just know that some may be watching it as a hawk as the price is going down and getting ready to take advantage of the low price to jump in or increase their stakes.
Nestle is equally a dividend stock, which entering it at low price is more advantageous in terms of price appreciation and dividends.
That's my opinion. smiley
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 7:19pm On Mar 28, 2020
Defensive is a joke. It is a good stock no doubt at good price.

The market no send grin
DeRuggedProf:
Defensive from N1,400 to wherever it is now? grin
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 3:02pm On Mar 27, 2020
Okay ooo Stock marketing is a dangerous game,
PETERiCHY:
You are wise what happened to UNIONDAC faithfuls will happen to WAPCO faithfuls.

84% OS already in their pocket.

They device means of squeezing the hell out of minority shareholders so they will gladly admit to their BUY OUT price.. grin

Timeframe=9mths from now.

BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 2:27pm On Mar 27, 2020
You think too much! that is why you are a Prof. Anyway the unmpire is always there. grin grin

All manufacturing are facing same slide. To get forex is becoming difficult I think huh
DeRuggedProf:
WAPCO is holding BOARD MEETING on Monday, the way the stock has traded since morning is most suspicious.
Who knows if these guys may want to handsomely share the little they have MADE SO FAR, then let the stock price do a real slide when the mess start coming up later towards year end, then use the same money they have ARRANGED AS DIVIDENDS to mop up, then later ESCAPE totally, wiping the DIVIDEND HUNTERS and OLD SQUAD?

NB: just thinking out aloud, don't take me serious.... huh
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 11:30am On Mar 27, 2020
I forsee stocks going down. I could not see any push up yet in the near term. Nigeria could be heading for another recession,
Quarter 2 ,3 GDP would tell our story grin
locodemy:
Unending supply @ fcmb @1.50.

Is it a sign of the bonanza2 coming up by April or positive divergence?

Pls Onifa come and check chart for us o.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 11:24am On Mar 27, 2020
It is well, grin
rebekah2011:
if you took the time to read about Lafarge Wapco in the last 10 years. You will understand some issue better. It will come good for short-termers that get in now but the Long term of the company is a bit shaky.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 11:10am On Mar 27, 2020
@rebekah do you have qrt 3 unauduted report. All you mentioned is been done, this also include sales of loss making subsidary and driving down production cost. If you are still looking at quater 2 , change your out look. grin
rebekah2011:
when you look at your finance cost to your earnings. You have to know what to do. Borrowing to pay dividend is just not a sensible thing to do. If you want to raise capital, paying dividend is also not the way to go. So my advice to Wapco really will be pay down on your debts and improve your liquidity ratio and make the company more profitable. Shareholders will enjoy in the long run
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 11:05am On Mar 27, 2020
Something strange is actually happening in manufacturing sector.

It is well { Nestle, DangoSugar, WAPCO, Dang Cement , BUA)
locodemy:
If Dangote cement drops further,na to begin to pick race be that o.
