if Zee does not breakout, the market is going no where then? thesilentone: Zenith on the daily and weekly frames appears to have touched its key multiyear support/resistance. Will it breakout/breakdown? My predictive/forecasting skills are none existent at best but the volumes being traded will suggest there is an upside (to 23.2 or 18.20?)

The truth is that base currency of this market is Naira. If you are not making more than inflation you are losing money, The case of devaluation should affect the diasporal people investing in Nigeria. If Local Nigerians as well want to enjoy the devalaution , they should do profitable Dollar investment, which proceeds could be repartriated to Nigeria at awoof rate. RabbiDoracle: Not in every case you adjust for inflation. I will use devaluation adjustment.
There are investors who invest in Nigeria but don't live in Nigeria. So how will the price of good and services locally affect them?
Once they make their gains, they change to dollar and transfer out of Nigeria. |

There is always hope. However, Carverton is seriously impacted by current situations. Depending on the price you bought, it could be for long term or you cut losses. However let see what become of this current bull run. austinkenneth: Any hope for this Caverton? I have it as well.
I hope we are not bagholders in this one. |

Ho, I see ZZ is more of dividend stock than capital appreciation. ucvin: Yes. But it's very painful to wait for 2years and still incurred loss. Zenith is very sluggish. When I bought it at 25, access bank was trading at 6.45. Access bank later moved to 12naira. Imagine if I had bought access at 6.40 and sold at 12? GTB and Access appreciates faster than zenith. |

why ?? I am so unhappy with your loss. What you need is more patience. Your dividend is the gain of your patience, which is higher that savings and TB rates at now, Why sell at a loss? Within two years you should have earning betw N3- 5N as dividend that should relax your anxiety. ZZ is worth more than N25 on a good day. I would rather enjoy my dividend for 10 years than sell ZZ at a such a loss. ucvin: Although I lost so much on zenith cos I bought @ 25 and held on for 2 years only to panick sell at 18. Only happy that I sold UBA to lower the loss margin. |

Only god can do that. Better imagined. PharmAlfred: Today's trade is giving the highest swing I have seen on the NSE. Imagine you sold your Access Bank at N8.30 this morning and bought it back at N7. Now it is 7.75. Or you sold your first bank at N6.60 and bought it back at N5.80. Now it is N6.15. |

My Sister, if not for COVID and inter-relation to price of OIL how easy would it have been getting ZZ @10+, I bought ZZ at 17.5 before COVID enjoyed N3.1 dividend now is time for some capital appreciation. Mcy56: Lol. Some are always afraid of everything..............bull fear, bear fear............ DO they know how much some people lost during the pandemic? Imagine Zenith from 23 down to 10.70, GTB from circa 30 down to 16+ Ucap, I bought at 3.24 then, it went back to as low as 1.80/1.90 ........now people are recouping loss, they still come back with fear fear again. Some, who left their stock with the loss may not have breakeven self. Though not saying we shouldnt caution ourselves, but let's enjoy the bull ride when it lasted, nah our foreign brother blessings..............na wetin I dey talk be that. |

Good man, you have done well, market smiles on you Some are still in loss position in UACN, too bad. IYGEAL: The decision I made to accumulate huge units of Lafarge at below N10 and holding unto most of it is just the best I have made yet.
I did sell most of my Zee at below 18, having bought most at 15+, on the other hand. |

Friend, Try not mislead him, WAPCO is going more than KM 20, It takes time to make profits. If you can wait, you would enjoy the ride. Real Money is not made by cutting profit short. Let the winners run, it may still go down a little but further stay would be rewarded. ojeysky: Lucky you, I exited at km 13.40. At current 14.10 it's only 7% away from the year's high, I hope you will japa and not rely on the km20 gamble. |

In addition make sure your stocks are good dividends paying. Tvegas: Nothing beats fundamental investing and buying a stock on the cheap, it gives a high sense of security. Also that a stock is crashing does not mean it wont crash more. Focus on the figures. See Wapco that wasnt moving for a long time suddenly overtaking Dangote sugar. |

It could be the guys feeling heat in other countries' stock exchange that are causing panic here. Most of our stocks performed well, though there's general instability in the system anyway. |
