You are very correct. There are many avenues of obtaining that money to japa that someone might not think about or might not be bold enough to explore.

I know a guy from a humble background that was a doctor in Nigeria hustling all those cottage hospital jobs collecting chicken change and he gathered money from his hustling and from friends to japa to the Caribbean.

He got there and was deported back to Naija from the airport. He came back to Naija owing people money. His father whose gratuity had just come through, gave the guy the money to enter flight again almost immediately. He and his wife are now both doctors working in the UK.

Most people will not try that 2nd trip he did with his father's gratuity, especially after getting deported the first time.

No be everybody wey dey japa hold bar. My daughter's home lesson teacher, a female corper I was paying 25k in 2021 to tutor my daughter enter UK like two months after she serve finish.

She didn't show for like two weeks when she was teaching my daughter, and when we called she said she had an emergency and had to rush home.

There was an old French or Swizz Bank by that name, Societe Generale Bank so many erroneously thought the Nigerian Bank was affiliated to it, and had solid financial backing.

Saraki too cleverly never dispelled those thoughts cos it was to his business advantage. Maybe that one too follow hoodwink people into doing business with the bank.

The Nigerian Societe Generale Bank was a distinct business entity separate from the European bank, and was founded in the 90s I think.
