I was going to write this down and was really suprised to see someone else had mentioned it. Big tune but very slept on maybe cos rap wasnt (and still isnt) very big in Niaja when it was released.

I agree with u. . .the song was heavily slept on but I don't think it was becos rap wasn't big in 9ja then. . .afterall elbow room was on his 1st album (Malcolm IX - The lost Sessions) and it recieved mad airplay on radio & tv whereas Spazmodic was on his 2nd album (Pentium IX - The Mixtape). I think the artistes didn't do enuff to promote the track (I rmbr saying to my bro when I coped the Pentium IX album then that 'so this kain joint dey dis album and na only 'Lagos state of mind', 'gentle wind' and 'pain' I dey hear for radio. . .The video coming out very late didn't help matters too. . .I think this was partly due to the fact that both artistes jointly owned the track & since it was on both their albums, Mode had to chill & wait for Terry to release his album b4 shooting/releasing da video for the song. The video didn't get good airplay on tv too. Don't think I've seen the video more than twice on tv, lol.

Lol. . .I've been listening to Naija rap/hip-hop since da days of Emphasis & I've followed all the progressions & developments uptill the present day but I still opine dat da dopest, illest, sickest, baadest (forgive the tautology) rap joint EVER (take note. . .not in the last decade) is Spazmodic by Terry tha Rapman & Modenine. That joint was just too dope. . .the beat lason was a CLASSIC. . .u can bob your head to only the instrumental all day long. . .the hook sef was maaad . . .(Hey yo terry, u got da mic loaded? spit a verse and make sure it's spazmodic. . .hey yo, Nine, u got da mic loaded. . .spit a verse and make sure it's spazmodic). The main rap sef na wa. . .From start to Finish, every single line na wordplay,  punchline & metaphor. . .da delivery sef was so on point. .! In short that track too mwaaah!

Dem sef know sey dem pari ise on top d joint, dats why they said at the end of da track dat it's not another one, it's just da ONE!

She toured the States extensively during summer 2008 and even lives (part time) in New York.
Although she grew up in Germany her father is from Nigeria and she has strong ties to her family there.
She definitely would deserve it although her American label was unfortunately not very helpful in promoting her in the US.

Hmmm. . .I think Asa, 2face & Nneka* (not feeling her but she's doing the right thing by touring US, appearing on David Letterman show etc) can bring home the Grammy but I'm kinda dissapointed no-one mentioned Jeremiah Gyang. . .Dude is multi-talented, has a great voice, is a multi-instrumentalist and can actually SING. He's also as ethnic as the word goes. His debut album 'Na baka' was a classic IMO and I still jam it till today. He just needs to be pushed out there like the Nneka's & Asa's IMO.

Lots of Hybrid Mosquitoes in Surulere Lagos.They go to work in the morning ,come back around 7pm and start clubbing till 9pm before they start feasting on you.

Lot of qualities:

They bite through jeans
They leave several bumps on your face (especially when you are new before you become son of the soil)
They come back at you 10 times stronger after spraying insecticide
They sound like world war II planes when hovering over you
They are extremely fast and I bet you will hardly kill one

Overall, they make like miserable and still give you malaria.
Our house girls have resigned because of them.
Those scientists should come for internship before they develop anything.
