Guys,I'm sorry 2 bust d bubble, but I sure can survive without my pc afta all my opera mini mod 206 ain't configured 2 browse with it and d opera 7.5 which is configured has limitations. But can I survive without my phone, HELL NO cos without it I wouldn't be posting on dis thread in d 1st place.
Cheers.

@Poster,alex406 and NaijaEcash are both correct. Most laptops with windows vista O.S come with 60 days trial version of microsoft office suite after which u have 2 install d full version so I'm surprised urs doesn't have at all unless its a difrent O.S.The original microsoft office suite comes in different packages with the most complete ms office ultimate costing about 60k or a bit less & d smallest package about 20k.On d other hand u can buy pirated ms office 2007,install it and it will work just fine.Another alternative is d open office suite which is less popular than ms office but better and more user friendly.NB:There are diffrent versions 4 diffrent operating system so make sure 2 download d 1 4 ur O.S.d file is 112.96MB,so if u don't have a personal internet conxn na overnite browsing u go do be dat o!

Jeez!What a dulling question.Poster,have u 4gotten d best things in life are free?

Jeez!What a dulling question.Poster,have u 4gotten d best things in life are free?

Word up,guys!Pls I installed gomplayer on my pc but I'm having problem transfering my songs(3000+)4rm d WMP 11 library to Gomplayer as I have done with media monkey & foobar 2000 MP.Pls,I don't have d time & patience 2 start ripping d songs again,so I'll appreciate a step by step guide on how to carry out d transfer.Ex inferins, dis is particularly 4 u o.I'll appreciate help 4rm other nairalanders as well.
Thanks.

As an aside,1 of my guys wey dey use hp pavillion LT talk say make I sell am d carrying bag.I tell am sey I neva luv am reach like that.Abi,isn't dat 1 of d things that makes it a special edition and different 4rm other HP pavillion LT's.
SELL KO,DASH NI!He wan turn im laptop 2 special edition by force.Just kiddin o!

Tomi_ade,way 2 go man!Welcome to the league of HP special edition laptop owners. No mind all d haters misyarning on this thread.Immediately u waka enta WG tech,u know u're in d right place.Hope Nnamdi backed up d pc for you & u collected your gift from da Hp gals.
I'm yet 2 c a LT that can stand it in beauty & aesthetics.D golden bronze color is beautiful and unique, & d silver keyboard panel & keys 2 fine.In addtn,it has advanced specs & functions.Wetin remain na 2 love-vendor am wit correct softwares.1 more thing, how is d BATTERY LIFE of your laptop?

Femzy, why the hmmmm?Obviously,u have a soft spot 4 media monkey. So are u telling me if u could only have one media player on your pc,u'll go 4 WMP 11?and why?I currently have both on my laptop and I've forgotten WMP 11 even exists.
@Ex inferins and other pc geeks, where una dey?make una drop your opinions on this thread.

Pc geeks in da house, which(audio) media player do u prefer and why? Windows media player 11 or Media monkey?Personally I prefer media monkey because the screen shot, display, interface and audio and volume output quality is in my opinion better than WMP 11.The only downside is that it is a bit complex and not as user friendly as WMP 11.
So,which do u prefer.If u don't have any of them on your pc u don't what u're missing.

Hi,guys.Pls,does anyone have an idea of how much an Hp laptop lithium-ion battery cost.

@tpia,your mouth like u go see a dermatologist or have plastic surgery like say plastic surgery cost just N50.Just in case u don't know plastic surgery ain't a routine procedure in this part of the world and most tm's go beyond d upper layer of d skin,so they are difficult 2 remove with creams.@ poster because she get tm,she no fine again abi?Somethin dey do u no be small o.

Amor4ce,sorry I've been incommunicado 4 sometime.I've been 2 busy 2 do the online thingy.Don't have much 2 say except 2 wish u happy enjoyment with your PC.u suppose wash am 4 boys o.One more thing as u don tell me say u dey live near d canal wey seperate bariga & shomolu,I don sabi ur place be dat.So if I can't take direct aim with a stone,I can easily bomb your area to blazes with my target area specific scud missiles(TASSM).So,still be careful cos u ain't safe.

So,na even 4rm overs u buy am direct. No wonder it cost so much.I was wondering where u bought it because tear rubber apple mackbook laptops are not common in naija.

Amor4ce,u stay in Bariga?that 1 mean say if I throw stone 4rm my place,e fit knack u 4 head, so be careful with the mischief.Guy,u mean your apple macbook cost u 270k?and I was thinking my lappy was expensive.4 that price, the specs must be WOW and OUT OF THIS WORLD.Abeg, wetin e carry wey make am cost so much? That price 4 buy u 2 laptops with some nice specs.Abeg, wetin be the specs.post am make we see.

Shoo!Amore4ce,na even the link 2 my thread u post.I spent mnths b4 deciding on those specs.Infact,my prdct of 1st choice was sony vaio but most of the sony vaio's fell shorts of my specs 1 way anoda.I must confess that lappy cost me a 4tune.I forgot 2 mention that it came with a carrier case in d form of a folder which I don't like because u still have 2 put the folder in a bag if u're the type with a legedes benz.I
also forgot 2 mention its a special edition which comes in a unique colour and the keyboard outlay and design is just beautiful and unique. The only snag is the 60 days expiry 4 ms office 4 all pc's running vista. But I guess since 'urs is a dfrn't OS u won't be having that prob.1 more thing amore4ce, r'sch will not tell u every.I spent time and money browsing and asking the so called IT guru's I knew about tech specs but non of dem said VISTA OS COMES WITH A 60 DAYS TRIAL VERSION OF MS OFFICE 2008.Do u get my point. That's not a prob cos I can easily install MS office 2007 after the 60 days.

Amor4ce,it seems we have something in common.I just bought a laptop too, specifically on Saturay.I even posted a thread on it titled MY LAPTOP BUYING EXPERIENCE.I believe a prospective buyer should look out 4 the specs which I listed 4 my laptop in my thread.I 4 post the link but I'm almost running out of cybertime.

Tolu10,Delta007 and REXX,do u guys know how to read at all?I corrected my previous post in a latter one and said it is the MS office that expires in 60 days time not the vista,so your point about vista never expiring is moot.Tolu10,I get tired of people like u who propound theories and form opinions on what should be & not the reality on ground. In my 1st post,I said the Hp guys were Hp call contact agents which implies they are not directly employed by Hp and besides do u know anything about Westgate Technologies?Incase u don't,its the SLOT equivalent 4 pc's & assessories in Computer village.I
mean its just like u saying that if nokia or motorola attaches 1 or 2 people 2 slot who give gifts 4 buying any of their products above 20k,then Slot sells fake phones.Guy wake up.No be 2day I enter Lagos and besides I sabi CV pass the road to my house.More, over the Hp girls gave me a detailed Hp product questionare to fill.If only u knew Westgate technologies u wont b talking like this.I rest my case.

Femzy, thanks 4 your prompt reply.I guess ms office 2007 is it then.I now realize the engineer told me what he did to con me into buying a vista package.Femzy, do u know anything about vista activator cos my software guy at Computer Village said I should get the activator instead.
Whats your advice?

Femzy, remember I said after the 60 days I won't be able 2 use the ms applications on the pc so we are basically saying the same thing.Exactly which of the ms office applications do u recommend I get and can it b a pirated version?Pls,details will be appreciated.

Tomi-ade,4rm d specs and features I listed u should be able 2 guess the price range.I can't drop the price because of d comments that will follow.
PC geeks in da house,is there anyway round this Vista expiration problem because I heard it won't work with a pirated version because I can't afford to buy any of da original vista packages as na by force I take buy this laptop. One more
thing, the laptop came with norton protection suite 60 days trial version also.

So,pc geeks in da house,is there a way round d expiration of da vista? Can I install Windows 2003 without it affecting da speed of my system? Please, reply because it will be appreciated.
I'm currently playing music with d windows media player 11 and believe me its da BOMB.

with my self until I asked 4 d neccessary settings, activation & configtn 2 b done & I was told that d vista is a trial version and that it would expire in 60 days after which I will not be able 2 use ms packages like word, excell, office & powerpoint unless I buy any of the original windows vista packages and install it.This packages range 4rm 20 - 60k.After much complaining d engnr told me that I that I would still have my vista and other processes like d media player running and d only thing is that I wont be able 2 use the ms packages until I install full version of any of the vista packages.
He then told me that all recent laptops come with vista 60 days trial version and never with full version. He also said that after 60 days,I can install Windows 2003.He then backed up the hard disk into 3 cd's in case I ever have 2 format the system. He also mentioned that d windows 2003 if I install it will slow down my pc.2 cut a long story short, all current laptops come with 60 days trial vista OS,so bware

Hi,Guys.I just bought a laptop today so I thought I'll share my experience, so here goes.My bro and I set out this morning to computer village. On getting there we did the CUSTOMARY window shopping and browsing and we finally ended up @ Westgate technologies ltd simply because it was an accredited major dealer of HP products and this was buttressed by the fact that they had HP call contact agents stationed right in their office premises who gave a gift for buying Hp product of at least 100k.I bought an HP pavillion dv6899ei with intel core 2 duo processor, processor speed 1.8GHz,15.4'' WXGA screen,2GB DDR SDRAM,250GB hard drive,802.11b/g WLAN & bluetooth, webcam,HP mobile remote control, multi 8X DVD+/-RW with double layer support,nVidia GeForce 8400 GS with 256MB DDR dedicated graphics memory,HP Quickplay,5 in 1 digital media reader,ExpressCard/54 PC Card Slot,6 cell lithium ion battery and WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM operating system.I collected my gift from the HP people and was feeling really cool

Look,my guys it wasn't my intention 2 start any tribal bashing or any thing like that,so u guys coolu temper and go easy with d replies although I must confess I'm loving the back and forth.2 answer some questions I ain't
AA and it wasn't as if I never asked my friends why they liked it so much,I did but their replies where always ''I JUST LIKE IT'' which is really no reply at all.
