sleekdot:Spambot not work of enemies. I've taken action. He'll be back posting soon. |
I've released Ram's post from the spambot so it's now visible But To avoid being banned, no one should quote my post about Tehran or Ram's post in which he quoted Ibime. |
BlueRayDick:Grazie. Will download at night. |
Someone here recommended Tehran as a series to watch. I want to thank the person cos it's extremely good. It doesn't have the gripping race against time, thrilling action, suspense & shock value of 24 but it's more realistic, more believable, and I consider it better made than 24. Even better than Day of the Jackal. Also, I like the Israel (Mossad) vs Iran (Iran Revolutionary Guard) arch of the series. It's refreshingly different. No be every time CIA, MI6, MI5 etc go be protagonist for movie. I binge-watched Season 1 & 2 yesterday, and I absolutely enjoyed it. If espionage thrillers are your thing, I absolutely recommend it cos (in Ola of Lagos voice), you will love it. Meanwhile, I read online that Season 3 is out. Can anyone help with links to download? I don search tire but I no see. |

So guys from here were regulars in the Ashewo Beer Parlour thread back then? Hmm, I followed the thread for a while but never posted in it. Normally Ishi get mouth but that was brutal, damn! |
Moniter0:I agree wholeheartedly. Two wrong substitutions made by Chelle against Zimbabwe 1. Removing Iwobi for Onyedika. 2. Removing Osimhen for Boniface. |
mank1234:Yeah, I already acknowledged that in a follow up post to this you quoted. |
minfelix:The site I got the result of Super Eagles matches under Gernot Rohr misled me but it doesn't invalidate my main point. The Super Eagles have had defensive frailties for a long time, and the team hardly kept clean sheets. |
robosky02: elyte89:Forgive me, you are absolutely correct. I was doing simple addition & subtraction hence my error. Before their 2-0 victory over Lesotho, SA was on 10 points and +3 goals difference. So if FIFA deducts 3 points and 3 goals from SA, they'll be on 0 goal difference. If we win all our remaining matches which includes beating SA away, we'll qualify |
semid4lyfe:Since the final days of Gernot Rohr, the Super Eagles have struggled defensively, finding it difficult to keep a clean sheet. ◾Sierra Leone came from behind to draw 4-4 in Benin City. ◾Benin Republic defeated us 1-0 in Porto-Novo. ◾Cape Verde beat us 2-1 in Mindelo. ◾Central African Republic stunned us 1-0 in Lagos. ◾Cape Verde held us to a 1-1 draw in Lagos. Even under José Peseiro, the same defensive frailties persisted, with the team conceding goals to supposed african minnows we should have handled comfortably: ◾Nigeria 2-1 Sierra Leone ◾Nigeria 0-1 Guinea-Bissau ◾Sierra Leone 2-3 Nigeria ◾Mozambique 2-3 Nigeria ◾Nigeria 1-1 Lesotho ◾Zimbabwe 1-1 Nigeria ◾Guinea 2-0 Nigeria The breaking point came at AFCON when we drew 1-1 with Equatorial Guinea. That was when Peseiro finally acknowledged we had a defensive problem. His solution? Switch to a five-man defense—three center-backs and two wing-backs (Ajayi, Ekong, Bassey, Aina, and Zaidu). The result? A vastly improved defense that didn't concede until the semi-finals. Finidi George should have stuck with that system, but instead, he let armchair analysts dictate his tactics with their "You can't play five at the back against African minnows." "The best teams in the world play a back four", "Our strength is in our attack"etc nonsense talk, And so, he reverted to a four-man defense —conceding three goals in two games and managing just one point. Now, enter Eric Chelle. After two games, he already looks like a rigid coach stuck on playing a 4-4-2 diamond—even with the wrong personnel. If we were to face Spain or Argentina, I wouldn’t be surprised if he stubbornly sticks to the same 4-4-2. His squad selection also raises eyebrows. Dropping Frank Onyeka from the 23-man squad makes me wonder if he even reviewed our AFCON matches. How do you watch those games and decide Onyeka isn’t needed? He was our midfield engine—running, marking, covering every blade of grass, harassing opponents non-stop. Even his lineup choices are questionable. Sticking with the same starting XI from the Rwanda game against Zimbabwe suggests he didn’t study the Rwanda match properly. If he had, Chukwueze, Osayi, and Ndidi shouldn’t have started against Zimbabwe. Furthermore. his game management seems poor. Sometimes, 1 goal is enough. The team just needs to play defensively, park the bus, protect the lead and grind out the result. Moving forward, Eric Chelle must be dynamic and show tactical flexibility, play players in their best positions, make bold decisions, and bench underperformers when necessary. The Super Eagles cannot afford another tactically stubborn coach. South Africa scares me. That team is more or less a club team so their understanding and chemistry is high. They press, mark, joggle and pass the ball well. They're a well drilled team. If I were Eric Chelle, I'll go full Italian Catenaccio on their asses by adopting and playing a tactical formation that prioritizes a solid defense, disciplined man-marking and counter attacks. Super Eagles have to beat SA in SA, there's no other way. Cc: DaveP |

caprikon:The emboldened is not true sir. That head to head rule was only used in 2006. Since then, FIFA has ditched it. For the 2026 world cup, goal difference takes precedence over head-to-head. Specifically, teams that are tied on points will be separated based on 1. Goal difference 2. Goals for 3. Head-to-head. We just need to stop conceding goals, and win all our matches handsomely. Tomorrow is pregnant. only time will tell if the pregnancy will abort or deliver a world cup berth. I choose to believe.

South Africa has a whopping +5 goal difference, and that's my real worry. Their 13 points haul will be reduced to 10 points when FIFA deducts 3 points for their fielding of an ineligible player. (I'm confident this will happen). Also, SA's goal difference will take a hit with 3 goals deduction and reduce to +2. With 10 points, if SA wins three matches of their remaining four matches (I assume they'll lose against us), they'll be on 19 points. If the Super Eagles win all their four remaining matches, which includes beating SA in their home, we'll be on 19 points too. In my mind we can defeat Benin Republic at home. Lesotho away and Rwanda at home....,and it must be done handsomely.. Anyhow e wan be, we must pick 3 points against South Africa. Ultimately, it'll boil down to goal difference so we must score goals. Is this doable and possible, emphatically YES. There's still that glimmer of hope so I ain't giving up yet. Tedium lies the road to success and like 2baba go talk, if e easy na set up. Believe.

OasisX:Love and light bro, but you no dey ground so you no fit guage how the mood dey for igboro. My central point is all these policies, MOUs, developments at the federal and state levels have not led to betterment of lives, improvement in the living standard or changed the realities of Nigerians. Inflation is ravaging the land, and it's increasingly getting worse by the day Make I give you small synopsis of wetin dey sup in the university system. My institution car parks used to be filled with cars before but these days, those car parks are scanty. Most staff commute to the office via public transportion. Those still putting their cars on the road use them for hailing co-staff to work and charge them for it. Offices are being run on duty rosters just to minimize the number of days staff commute to work, and of course reduce transportation expenses. Many lecturers don't even bother with physical classes anymore. They send their lecture notes to the students whatsapp class groups, and that's it. Lecturers deliberately set ambiguous & difficult exam questions so students no go fit pass, and they have no choice but to............. Once in a while, management will release memo on certain lapses or inactions observed but no body send again, and even SERVICOM don "sojinu". The koko be say PBAT no dey try. If you fit reach am, tell him to stop proliferating universities in every nook and crany of the country, as FG has not fulfilled its obligations to the existing ones. . FG still dey owe university staff earned allowances dating back to 2019, promotion arrears, 25/35% salary increment, wage award etc. I come in peace. |
Meliforme:Going by your logic, it was the coach who instructed Osayi to be dribbled & turned to escort and Ekong not to put leg to tackle for Zimbabwe's goal. I no get time to do long post and analysis so all I'll say is, it is well. |
