Even if you dey lose guard normally, the preponderance of social media blogs and the fact that everyone with a phone is now a reporter of the news should keep you honest and on your best behaviour.

Dem go suspend am without pay for one to three months max. All because of the social media uproar.

He'll beg, lobby and be reinstated with his full withheld salary paid to him.

I can't wait for Friday badly enough. Birthday on Monday... Rwanda game on Friday... My Man, I am pumped!

Time for Chelle to pick Warriors from the start. Warriors who will deliver. We have no time for indecisions.

If you don't fight for every ball, run for every ball, you will not f**king play!

If we are making USCAMEX 2026 WC, that is the Mentality Chelle must stick to.
Happy birthday.

As per the match, we'll know how serious the players are from how early they arrive in camp,

Shebi na Saturday & Sunday dem go play for their clubs? I do not expect any player to arrive in camp later than Tuesday.

The stakes are high, and the players must be laser focused and approach the matches with all seriousness.

Amuneke did well. Each day passes and that sacrifice he made is still helpful to the SE.

I personally hate this age grade repeat that is now the norm. I do not believe it helps at alllll.

Plus the age cheating for that level at both boys and girls own. You play u17 world cup at 15. You're back 2 years later to play it again. It looks like a waste of space to me. Let other age grade players have their shine. Now see the Bameyi set repeating u20 like say all of them there be jss3 boys currently in ss2. Shuuu

That method needs to be binned
Whoever brought up the suggestion too needs cane cos it is counterproductive in the long run.

As for that non bias coach, i hope we find another one soon. Some decent managers are in the npfl and nwfl. Let them have a chance at the cadets. But are they impermeable to external influence?
Unless FIFA bans the age grade repeat thing, Nigeria no go stop.

That's the sad truth.

Osimhen will reach 40GA. Its inevitable.

Each day that passes, i dey vex with the u20. Why? Cos why we may agree that talent dey, they're not all that exceptional to break into the SE as we are right now. We can't even see 1 or 2 creatives to be in the squad. Either it is political or they're just not good atall.

Pls don't bring me that development talk. It will be a flimsy excuse.

While we are banking on VO for the 2 games, i hope someone else also comes hotter.
Bro, forget the U-20. Na overage dey full there most times.

I prefer we focus more on the U-17's to unearth talents because of the MRI scan requirement.

Osimhen, Chukwueze, Iheanacho, Kelechi Nwakali etc were all discovered at the U-17 level.

Like TheGoodJoe says, we need a good coach without ethnocentric bias and proclivity who will do an open screening and national selection process to choose the best players.

If I'm not mistaken, the last coach to do such was Emmanuel Ammuneke and we're still reaping the benefits.

From U-17. they can transit to U-20, professional football in Europe and play for the Super Eagles.

He's a generational talent, a type we may not see again in the Super Eagles for a while when he hangs his boots.

Thank God he's Nigerian and does not play against us.

Coach Emmanuel Ammuneke, collect your flowers. God bless you for picking Osimhen for that 2015 U-17 World Cup because that was the springboard for his football career and achievements.

Success rate in football is very low and less than 2% of talented footballers make it to the top professional level.

Perhaps if Ammunike had not given the chance, opportunity and limelight to Osimhen, he would be rotting in the doldrums of football.

I hope Osimhen dey do "normal" for Ammuneke sha. He deserves it.

Watch Osimhen hat trick for Galatasaray

Great positional awareness and movement for the three goals, especially the third.

That Galatasaray director's plan for each of the club 35m supporter club members to contribute $2 for Gala to raise the $75m Napoli release clause and sign Osimhen on a permanent basis will not work in Jesus name.

Our starboy deserves better and will move to a title contender in a higher rated league.

He has scored a hattrick for Napoli on two occasions if remember correctly. Both of them against Sassuolo.

What I like most about this his performance is he was not offside even once this match.

Also, a very clinical performance from him.

21 touches, 5 shots, one hit bar, one was blocked, the other three were goals.
I know he scored hat trick for Napoli, I was referring to him scoring same for Gala.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Aribo's passing game is shyte and he easily gets muscled off the ball. Also not one known for creativity or dribbling.

In addition, he doesn't have the lungs, legs, stamina and durability of Onyeka to press and harry players.

Onyeka's absence still be like dream to me.

If this is the conclusion that justifies his actions, then it means the selection process is flawed in the first place. It took an injury to correct that. How many more injuries do we need to finally balance everything?
I think we all agree the initial list had k-leg and was externally influenced.

If it takes injuries to some selected players for the team to be balanced and get the right shape, so be it.

So I view this change as Chelle making his choice & exerting his authority on the squad selection.

Furthermore, I'm of the opinion it's unwise to select only 6 defenders in a squad of 23.

If a coach deploys a 3-5-2 and plays five defenders. three as central defenders and two as wing-backs like Peseiro did at AFCON, (Ekong, Bassey, Ajayi, Zaidu, Aina), the team will be left with only one defender on the bench, and we all know defenders easily get injured and carded.

Conclusively. I believe a squad of 23 should have 3 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 7 midfielders and 6 forward players.

Players versatility to play multiple positions also helps in this regard and that's the reason Uche Chrisantus should have been a shoe-in in this squad cos he can slot seamlessly into the midfield as a CAM and in the forward line as a SS.

Dessers don deserve all this disrespect. Naaah.

abeg who Dey watch MLS? In this era that we have decent midfielders doing well in europe top flight leagues na wey we Dey smuggle in one from the US league when we have make or mar games at hand?

It’s obvious that Alhassan and Sadiq made the squad just to please a certain region in the country

As for that Papa Daniel Abi wetin I can’t just wrap my head around the logic that made him preferable to Chelle than Onyeka and Uche

It would have even be understandable if na the Goztepe guy self dem give this chance 🤦‍♀️
Nobody watches MLS but overtime Alhassan Yusuf has proven to be a dependable player. He rotates the ball well, covers a lot of ground, closes space and opponent passing lanes. I'm completely sold on him and glad he made the team.

The ones undeserving of their inclusion in that midfield are Joe Aribo and Papa Daniel. In their stead, I'll have picked Frank Onyeka & Uche Chrisantus.

Additionally, I'll have dropped one of the forwards to accommodate an additional midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Anthony Dennis) of Gotzepe cos that midfield is too lean. In a squad of 23 players, we should be having a minimum of 7 midfielders.

My midfield selection would have been
Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Alhassan Yusuf, Chrisantus Uche & Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (if fit) or Anthony Dennis.

Forward picks would have been Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Moses, Nathan Tella, Cyriel Dessers and Tolu Arokodare.

Defenders ✔️

Goalkeepers - My picks would have been Stanley Nwabili, Amas Obasogie and Maduka Okoye.

I believe there was interference in the team selection but the buck stops at Chelle's table, and he picked the team so he'll be held responsible for the outcome of the matches regardless.

Glad Alhassan Yusuf made the squad. That guy is good. Probably the most underrated player in the Eagles in my opinion.

Disappointed Onyeka, Chrisantus Uche did not make the final list. They deserve to be in the team ahead of Aribo and Papa Daniel.

Anyway, make dem just win the two matches and bag 6 points, na my own be that

Back from youtube where I watched the highlights of some games.

Galatasaray - Osimhen, Atalanta - Lookman, Sevilla - Ejuke, Getafe - Chrisantus.

Galatasaray is so disorganized in their play. Na attack dey save them cos their midfield and defence na rubbish. Great goal by Osimhen.

Atalanta cooked against Juventus. Lookman scored a goal but should have scored three really.

Sevilla - On the back foot most of the game but a moment of magic from Ejuke got them the goal and victory.

Getafe - Chrisantus Uche battled hard. He seems to be good with his head. Glad his team got the victory.

Overall a good sunday for Nigerian players.

Lol. The Feminazis think she was crowdfunded because of that her singular cooking at 4.30am tweet.

Nope.

Guys did background checks on her by digging up her entire tweet history, and concluded she was an "ideal wife" because she had nothing but prayers and positive things to say about her husband and marriage despite their poor financial standing and obvious struggle.

It was after the background checks that the crowdfunding began and the gifts and money started pouring in.

If the background checks had revealed any negative tweets about her husband and marriage, nobody would have sent her shishi.

I used to tell people , I have a loving family where females have the same equal right as the male . I have two elder sisters who have the same right to my dad’s properties as myself . Even before I was of age , my mum had access to her deceased dad’s properties as much as her younger brother.
Na wetin me sef dey practice for my end be that. Wifey is officially my next of kin.

My daughter and first son used to drag car front seat before, but I ruled in favour of my daughter and warned my boy never to drag that seat with her again, moreso she's my first, and his elder sister.

Even inheritance-wise, I intend to give her more or at the very least equal share with her brothers.

I believe some of these people doing this toxic feminism are victim of some archaic tradition where they come from .
Some of these archaic traditions dey favour guys sometimes

What all of them are practicing which they call feminism is misandry which stemmed from either being raised in a failed home , experiencing a failed long term relationship /marriage or general lack of love in one or all sphere of their lives.
I agree wholeheartedly.

Ulxma, one of the popular feminist on Nigerian X once posted that the world would be a safer place for women if men did not exist and wished death to all Nigerian men. She trended on X that day for that particular tweet.

I was shocked when I saw that tweet so I went through her old tweets to understand her mindset and I stumbled upon a post she made about her failed relationship, and how her guy was always gaslighting her, making her doubt her sanity, how she lost self worth in the relationship bla bla bla then I understood her loathing of men.

In my opinion, she never healed from that experience, and that's why she's embraced feminism and is always lashing out at men but I think what she actually needs is therapy.
