Amedino99:Bro, you no lie When Osimhen slipped in the opening minutes of the match, I thought he sprained his ankle and that was the end of his participation. My heart beat doubled and I panic no be small. I was just praying silently, God abeg, God abeg, God abeg. When he got up and continued the game, I heaved a huge sigh of relief and my heartbeat normalized. The fact is we have become too dependent on Osimhen. This is not helped by the fact that the other strikers have not stepped up in his absence. I pray Osimhen is available for all our remaining matches cos he's the proven goal scorer of the team |
Osimhen is a cheat code. Having him in your team is like playing with 1 goal up. God bless his father, the womb that carried, nurtured and birthed him, Emmanuel Ammuneke and all the other coaches involved in his football development and journey. God bless Victor Osimhen and the Super Eagles of Nigeria. |
BankyGee: Mujtahida: Mujtahida: BankyGee: elyte89:Na wa o, people dey sha. You go just wake up begin dey clone, fake or impersonate another person for social media. I for understand if na fan account. Anyways, it is well. |
This our coach like social media. His twitter is active |
Go follow if you aren't already
|
Tchinaidi:Shey una no dey tire? |
daveP:Two players that fit the bill are Elijah Adebayo of Luton Town and Akor Adams of Sevilla FC. Dessers, Moffi, Onuachu, Arokodare, Orban & Umar, I no rate them like that. |
daveP:Bro, you sabi ball. Ndidi is also misplacing passes. Even now Onyeka absence dey pain me walahi. Anyhow we wan do am, make we just collect 3 points from this game |
That Galatasaray/Osimhen fan wey travel to Rwanda just to watch Osimhen has gotten her money worth already. |
End of First half. Nigeria 2 Rwanda 0 I am seeing a new attribute and playing style that I can only attribute to Eric Chelle. What is it? A high press and man-marking style in the opponents half which closed passing lanes and is making it difficult for Rwanda to play out from the back. This is how Mali played under him. I like it, I really like it. Just a game, and the coach has stamped his imprint on the team. Chelle go cook with this team. |
andrewbaba44:Kindly stop with the tomfoolery otherwise I may have to restrict you until after the match |
Aah, not impressed with that midfield. Ndidi doesn't have the lungs, legs and workrate anymore. Iwobi is a CAM who excels passing-wise but is lightweight defensively in terms of marking and closing spaces. Also, doesn't do well playing from deep. We are effectively ceding the midfield to Rwanda with this starting 11. Anyway, 90 minutes will tell. |
AndSunGorilla:You no sabi ball. |
BankyGee:Can't wait for kick-off time. Today, we either get our world cup qualification back on track Or We don't qualify. I hope it'd be the former and not the latter. Go Super Eagles go. |
Subzerooo:You dey yarn opata. If to say you talk am before the last AFCON, I fit gree. But Na false because Bassey was a rock at the last AFCON in CoteD'voire |
seankafor:I agree. If he had called Wike to order, things for no reach like this But Maybe he refused to do so cos he was working towards this outcome |
PBAT did well. Wike and Fubara will rest now. |
GloriousGbola:The way she dey move, last last she go abandon the service I wish her well. |
NYSC summoned you You went there lawyered up, even carry career activists join body. It is well. |
GloriousGbola:She's serving in Lagos so I expect that will give her some buffer because most parts of Lagos are somewhat developed. But imagine she was serving in Ondo state and NYSC gave her extension and posted her to Ayetoro, a riverine community ◾Paddling canoes is the means to move around. ◾Accomodation are bamboo houses standing on wooden stake foundation. ◾No pipe-borne water or borehole water system. People collect rainwater into GP tanks to drink and cook. Bathing is done in the river. ◾Limited phone network and no internet access ◾No standard health facilities & qualified medical personnel. Na auxiliary nurses full there. ◾No modern toilet facilities. You defecate into the water by opening a manhole in the floor of the house or paddle canoes to designated areas within the vicinity to take a dump etc Just imagine a large scale Makoko which is far from the hinterland, and you'd get the picture. In addition, NYSC come give her close marking, shine torchlight for her head so she gats live there and no go fit travel? Yes, she'll survive the extension but omo, she go suffer no be small. Even that Lagos wey she dey, e get indigent communities wey dem fit post her to treat her eff up. Away from the online bravado, I just hope people her interceding on her behalf with NYSC so she can get some kind of soft landing. |
Even the NYSC officials under whose watch this happened go face consequences. NYSC DG fit query the State Coordinator or transfer am to another state. The state coordinator go transfer the Eti-Osa zonal coordinator to an unfavourable LG. As in repercussions go dey throughout the command chain. I understand why the NYSC officials panicked and were harrying her to take down the video. The girl na alakoba and don put dem for trouble. |
GloriousGbola:Naah Egbon, I think she's a corper. Evidence abound. The NYSC Eti-Osa LGI requesting her contact in their whatsapp group, the recorded call from the LGI asking her to take down the video and threatening her, the DMs and SMS messages from other corpers warning her to be careful etc indicates she is. Lawyers and Nigerians online fit dey prop her up but I think her statement, "the president is terrible" is an insult because it's a negative assessment of his character and personality. If she had said, the president's economic policies are terrible, that would be termed a critique. In a few days, she'll stop trending, the social media noise & uproar will fizzle out but NYSC will be quietly waiting to exert their pound of flesh at her POP by giving her a service extension with close marking & monitoring. I'm sympathetic to her but I just feel the repercussion of her outburst no worth am. Make she milk this her fame, NYSC dey lurk for corner. |
User09:Is the clout and publicity worth it though? Bros J did something similar during his service year in Sokoto when he wrote an article critical of the state governor. He was accused of being sponsored by the opposition. Despite his apology, and making pleas and entreaties to the state government, dem still knack am 6 months extension and sent him to a remote PPA to do the extra time. Make she enjoy her 5 minutes of fame because NYSC will quietly deal with her, and then, she no go fit post am for social media. She's gonna learn!. |
DissTroy:This issue dey rage for office platform and some people don post the same thing wey you post so make I chip in For me, the giveaway that the letter was written by AI is not so much the flowery and wordy tone but 1. The Title of the letter. He wrote, Dear Chidera, LETTER OF APOLOGY TO MR CHIDERA This is AI being used without proof reading, proper editing and correction. It should have been Dear Chidera, LETTER OF APOLOGY 2. The overly patronizing tone and almost beggarly nature of the letter. The lecturer threw all his pride away. and was grovelling at the feet of the student. This is very uncharacteristic of a Nigerian lecturer. 3. The content of that letter went far and beyond the subject matter. Look at the lines below: I understand that my apology cannot erase the past, but I hope it can be a step towards healing and moving forward. Erase past? healing? moving forward? kilode? on top a singular incident! When no be long term broken relationship? Please know that I am committed to changing my behavior and ensuring that all my students feel safe, respected, and supported in the classroom. I will do everything in my power to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. How did a simple personal apology letter, expand in scope to ensuring all his students are respected, supported and feel safe in class? If you are willing, I would like to meet with you to discuss how I can make amends and support you in any way possible. Please let me know if this is something you would be open to, and we can arrange a time and place that works for you. Support? Did the student break some bones and land in hospital as a result of that clearance? Again, this is overboard and uncharacteristic of a Nigerian lecturer, especially the one in question. Even if I wan run this kain parole with the student, na to obtain hin digits, control am. give him a nice time and press small change for hin aza. Finish. The letter is AI being used without human oversight and proof that AI sef dey gba. Summarily, I can bet my March salary that the apology letter was generated by AI. |
BascoVanVeli:Great highlight. Flamingos dominated but it seems certain players were glory hunting. |
Joezinho:Make una rest The MLS guy is a squad member, a potential starter and amongst the three likely substitutes in a match. The guys who do not deserve a spot in that squad and displaced Onyeka and Chrisantus are Papa Mustapha Daniel and Joe Aribo. |
Theflint1:Na this kain thing make NYSC redeploy Brother Suraj to a remote location, and give am extension of service. She's gonna learn, and learn in a hard way. |
raumdeuter:Dayo, gimme gig na. ![]() I have seen the light and now stand on the mandate for 2027 |
Theflint1:Bro, I understand where you coming from. I support the democratization of information access but I fear academics is one field that may never fully embrace AI. I highlight some reasons below: The gatekeepers in academics all did it the old-fashioned and difficult way, without AI so they wouldn't want to lower the bar and make it easier for those coming behind. With dependence on AI comes laziness, a lack of critical thinking & analysis, poor development of problem solving skills which are core requirements in academia (See that Nekede lecturer for example using AI to write a simple apology letter). Furthermore, plagiarism is rampant in AI generated academic output which is seen as dishonesty, and lack of integrity in academic circles. Also, AI dey gba many times with inaccurate and misleading information. AI output depends on the training data, and reflects the perspective of the country it was developed. For example if I were to ask ChatGPT and DeepSeek about Hong Kong, their responses would be tainted with their biases. Academics is probably the only field that is resisting and actively pushing back against the use of AI by developing and deploying tools to detect AI generated and humanized content. The capabilities of TurnitIn, Copyleaks and other AI content detectors keep getting updated and better on a daily basis. |
AI is making people lazy. Those of us wey go school in the days of very limited internet access, and had to use physical libraries, do overnight browsing at the cybercafe just to download materials for our projects are better grounded. These days. the simplest writing tasks are done with AI. Even that one sef, dem no fit apply human sense to make it better. I recently reviewed some seminar papers and all of them were written with AI but it's understandable cos students like sharp-sharp stress free work. The first sentence in one of the seminar papers I reviewed went thus; Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of deaths globally. How do you make such a weighty statement without stating the prevalence number and quoting a reference source? Also that CVDs in bracket was a dead giveaway that it was AI generated. I fear for our kids o, I really fear. Hopefully, Turnitin will continue to keep people honest when it comes to serious academic output. |
BascoVanVeli:Post highlights when the match finish |
