Bombblacks:Bruh, trust me I asked the same questions. I even asked momsy why a dead person was appearing in her dream and told her to go to MFM Prayer city to do deliverance ![]() She admonished me not to be flippant, and said she knows what she dreamt. Trust me, it wasn't easy for us to do the proper burial rites after all the years that had passed but at the end we caved in because we didn't want to leave any stone unturned. We concluded shebi na to spend money, ehn make we spend the money |
On this burial stuff, make I yarn una one story. Mid 2022 - Early 2023, inexplicable things begin dey sup for our family. Me, dem hold my promotion for office. This was despite acing the appraisal assessment and being recommended for promotion. Business wey I establish as additional side hustle to my 9 - 5 run down. Pregnancy wey my sister carry after years of TTC drop. A cousin in Okitipupa commot for house to go work and never returned back. A niece in the university, a very brilliant gal studying Nursing Science woke up one morning and begin dey kolo. Popsy sef dey get incessant health issues that time. E even reach my elder bro side for Cany, as hin lose hin good paying job. etc etc As in, everything just dey go wrong that time with all of us Na so mumsy dream that period and in the dream, our paternal grandpa appeared to her and admitted to being behind our travails because popsy, our uncles and aunts no give am befitting burial when him kpai. According to how she take narrate am, hin spirit dey aggrieved and is not at rest because he was buried dishonourably, and na why hin dey afflict us. Keep in mind, that grandpa kpai in the late 90's. She begin dey disturb and pile pressure on popsy and we the children say make we do the traditional burial rites and give grandpa a befitting sendforth to the great beyond. Initially we refused but after unrelenting pressure from her, incessant calls and impressing it on us the children that popsy was aged, and may be called home soon, and customarily, we are barred from giving him a "befitting burial" because he didn't do such for grandpa, we caved in and agreed to give grandpa a befitting burial in the form of a thanksgiving/remembrance. Popsy being the oldest son called a family meeting and convinced his brothers, sisters and cousins. Dem pick date wey be last week of December 2023, do budget, share responsibilities and the bills. Me, I don know say I no go travel go villa because wifey was due in January, and I couldn't leave her cos na me be her only support system. Elder bro in Cany on PR visa was due for citizenship in January, and was solely focused on that and did not want to prolong his eligibility days by travelling to Nigeria. Two cousins abroad in UK on care work visa were not coming too. Everybody sent money and our cousins back in the villa did the logistics and running around. We collect Aso-ebi. Bought two cows. Booked the community secondary school field, rented canopies, chairs and tables, and hired a traditional highlife musician with his band for the all-night party. The traditional rites to appease grandpa's soul were done, Church thanksgiving / remembrance was done too, The all night party was well attended, People ate, drank to their fill and danced merrily. Everything went well. Na so we take run the thing and everyone went back to base and their normal lives afterwards. As we enter January 2024, my promotion came through and was backdated to October 2022 when I was originally due. All the arrears of the salary increment was paid to me with my January salary. My cousin wey go work in Okitipupa and disappeared was found wandering in Oshodi in tattered clothes and bathroom slippers and clearly in a dishevelled state. He underwent rehabilitation and has fully recovered today. My sister took in again in January 2024, carried the pregnancy to term and delivered a bouncing baby boy in September. My niece studying Nursing Science in University deferred her programme for a session, underwent treatment & rehabilitation, and is now fully recovered, back in school and in her final year. My elder bro's cany citizenship came through and he got a better paying job than the one he lost. Popsy after being in and out of hospital in 2023 did not visit the hospital once in 2024. And so on and so on........... I no dey put stock for this kind spiritual stuff but these na things wey we experience for our family. and shey na just coincidence say things begin dey pick up for us after we buried grandpa "right", comments? |
lovewins:Aaah, deflated ![]() |
Lesley Ugochukwu and Carney Chukwuemeka's application to switch nationality to reo the Green-White-Green is the best news I've heard today. They"re 20 and 21 years respectively so they'll serve us for a long time. |
Happy birthday to her 47 looks good on her. |
GloriousGbola:20+ year olds who are IT gurus that Elon Musk used to unearth the whole USAID con. |
Job losses go plenty in the NGO sector on top this USAID issue |
BlueRayDick:Whaat! E get some songs wey you go hear and you know instinctively that the singer has reached the summit and is never gonna surpass the lyricism of that song ever. Djinee's overkilling is one of such songs. In my opinion, overkilling has the hardest lyrics for a non-rap naija song ever. The best part of the song is the outro This feels good nowThe lyrics dope and that song was genius. |
Amigoss:Where you put P-Square temptation ft Alaye? That song was a jam, the video was clean and dope as f¢#k for that era. ......Unless you wan talk say Alaye no be Nigerian. The beat of that song especially those guitar chords was heavenly and orgasmic. |
KingTom:We're the most incredible Out of Naija Straight from Naija Street Credibility, We get am Check my fans, Walahi aya e a ja No be lie, hear am No be lie, hear am No be lie, Eyin mu j'abe lo No be lie, Kinihun l'oba eran My jam all day. Even 2baba drop some serious bars for that hin verse. |
Categorically I'm the best mentallyAlapomeji was hot that year sha Tems was 13 years old when Alapomeji boasted that he'll bag a Grammy. 17 years after no Grammy and 9ice has gone into musical oblivion and is just a footnote in the history of Afrobeats. Truly, the future belongs to the youths. |
raumdeuter:You sef be U-17. I await your MRI test result ![]() |
BlueRayDiick:You and I know that dude looks way older than the U-17 players we have produced since the MRI scan era (2013 upwards) but you just couldn't resist the urge to take this cheap shot at me. ![]() Again, MRI scan is used to determine the age of U-17 players by examining the degree of fusion of the distal radius bone in the wrist because it has been established that at 17 years that bone is completely fused. Incomplete fusion of the distal radius = Less than 17 years. Complete fusion of the distal radius = 17 years and above You get? Again. it's medical science and a standardized test which was scientifically validated across different races and populations before FIFA adopted it. Overage players. cannot beat the MRI test. But you are free to continue taking potshots at me. ![]() |
larride:He stepped down as CEO after being elected to House of Representatives in 2019 but he never relinquished ownership. |
BlueRayDick:Make she move on, as 2baba don talk say hin no dey do again. She go dey alright last last. |
I just don't understand Annie. You and 2baba get issues. Your mental health is fragile. Small thing you don post emotional outburst on social media. Yet you still carry your two left legs go reality show, dey form pity party and shed tears.. If she know say she no fit sojinu like Chioma, why she carry head enter? 2Baba na community prick, and hin no hide am from day one. |
BlueRayDick:The divorce if it's truly happening is best for both of them. 2baba can now sow his wild oats without any restrictions or guilt while Annie can join her friend Toke Makinwa to jaiye ni gboro An infidelious man and an insecure neurotic woman are not exactly the recipe for marriage. They have tried. Kudos to them for keeping it going for this long |
[quote author=BlueRayDick post=133884922]Dey play! Somebody that has done video and confirmed he's divorcing Annie. He said " Nobody jack my account, na me talk wetin I Wan talk.... U understand. I come in peace " video may be an old one. I don't trust Nigerian bloggers. They can chop and crop old videos into bits to make it appear related to a current trending issue. 2baba's utterance in that video is too generic for me to believe it's specifically related to the current happening. |
One of the biggest lies ever sold is that Nigerian graduates inability to land jobs is due to their poorly written CVs. Someone once posted a CV rewritten and optimized by Ogbeni Dipo's BTDTHub on Twitter. I saw the CV and was like, is this it? I hate the whole Your CV is the problem narrative propagated by Dipo and his ilk because It shifted the blame onto job seekers instead of addressing systemic issues. Even with the best written CVs, if there are no jobs or the hiring process is based on connections rather than merit, getting employed will remain a struggle. |
seankafor:I talk my own. You dey free to talk your own, no wahala. Respect baba |
BlueRayDick:Rinu has come a long way sha. The first time I heard about her was during Covid when Channels TV did a documentary of her going to Ojota to buy chemicals for the production of hand sanitizers which she distributed freely. Then she was still in school. The End SARS activism was much later and that propelled her to TwitterNG stardom. Now she don land international civil servant job. Her chi has been good to her but make she try finish school sha. E get why |
Theflint1:As it should be. |
Rinu vs Dipo That small stout get mouth sha. She cooked Mr CV rewriter for real
|
BlueRayDick:Lol. Every Nigerian footballer na Stanley Okoro and Fortune Chukwudi as far as fans dey concerned. And everybody na Adokie Amiesiamaka for Nigerian footballers age matter. Again, MRI is an exact and precise science, The definitive research was done in 2007 and published in a top-ranked peer reviewed journal, The British Journal of Sports Medicine. It took years of trialling at different levels before FIFA accepted, adopted and debuted it in 2012 as the determinant for U-17 players age in their competitions. Unless it's the parents or close relatives of the players debunking their ages, I'll take their MRI determined ages as their real ages over dem say age speculators anytime anyday. But its okay, make we just agree to disagree on this issue. |
BlueRayDick:This is your Nigerian bias coming through. I doubt you would have posted this if the players were not Nigerians. If I recall the events of 2013 and 2015 Nigeria U-17 campaign cycle correctly, the bulk of the players that played the qualifiers and the African championship got dropped prior to the world cup because they failed the MRI test. Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City was one of such casualties in 2013. The fusion of the distal radius in his wrist was adjudged to be beyond the acceptable U-17 MRI threshold. New teams were hurriedly put together and the players who made the final cut for the U-17 competition of those years all passed the MRI test conducted by FIFA so make we accept am say dem be real U-17 then. Every other thing na speculation. |
It's Hilda Baci's turn to get dragged today |
BlueRayDick:That's the reason I regard the U-17 as our most important football age cadre because they're the only players who are MRI age-tested by FIFA and are (close to) the ages they claim. Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi, Isaac Success, Kingsley Michael are products of the MRI era U-17 Golden Eaglets teams who are still playing actively today. |
Danielnino00:Ths comments on the thread are hilarious. |
izzou:Modified...... |
