Am I the only one who thinks playing in Turkey has improved Victor Osimhen?

I am seeing techniques and elements in his game I never saw before now.

Look at the flick back pass, the cushioned header for a teammate and the one-time through pass in their last game for example.

Also, his spatial and positional awareness has improved too.

Family › Re: What Can I Put In My Kids Lunch Box For Their Lunch (Young Moms Help) by semid4lyfe(m): 12:10pm On Jan 14, 2025
adalame:
Hello Nairalanders,

I need your help! I’m a mum preparing lunch boxes for my kids, and I’m looking for creative, healthy, and age-appropriate snack ideas. My daughter is 3 years old and in Nursery 1, while my son is 1 year old and in crèche.

I want snacks that are:

Easy to prepare
Healthy and nutritious
Appealing to kids
Mess-free (since they’re for school)
Please share your tried-and-true snack ideas or anything your kids love. Suggestions for both homemade and store-bought snacks are welcome.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Looking forward to your ideas.

My 6 and 4 year olds take home-made pap, checkers custard, golden morn or drink tea with bread (sparingly) for breakfast at home. This is their Monday to Friday morning starter.

For lunch to school, wifey packs in their food flasks:

◾White rice with stew and fish/boiled egg/diced meat
◾Jollof rice with fish/boiled egg/diced meat
◾Fried rice with fish/boiled egg/diced meat
◾Palm oil rice with fish/boiled egg/diced meat
◾Boiled or fried yam with fried egg in tomato sauce
◾Boiled or fried potato with fried egg in tomato sauce
◾Fried plantain, fried egg in tomato sauce and fish
◾Spaghetti with stew and fish/boiled egg
◾Spaghetti jollof with fish/boiled egg
◾Noodles with fish/boiled egg
◾Moi moi broken into small chunks, plantain and fish.

I might have omitted some other foods but that's majorly it, I think.

She also packs a Happy Hour Juice and a Biscuit in their lunch boxes as snack for them.

When she makes zobo, they go with that in 35cl plastic bottles in place of happy hour juice.

Of course, their water bottles are always filled with water and packed in their lunch boxes for them to drink at will.

They never finish their food so when they get home, they sit at the dinning table and are forced to finish the food.

There's no wasting of food in my home.

My 11-month old goes to creche with prepared pap in a flask, cerelac, drinking water, a happy hour juice and hot water in a fask for preparing the cerelac.

Pick one target for the Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle

1. World Cup Qualification
2. Win AFCON
3. World Cup Quarter Final
4. Win CHAN 2025

Which would you choose and why?

Have you forgotten that the same NNPC also has a stake in Dangote refinery?
A 7.2% stake on paper.

But in reality, they're rivals/competitors who have been throwing barbs at each other, and jostling for the lion share of the retail fuel market.

Besides APC would do anything to prove to Nigerians that they're working. Going through those replies you'll agree with me that most of them are paid APC supporters. We see them everyday on nairaland.
Still doesn't answer the question and you're turning logic on its head.

Why would APC as a party promote fuel from a rival Dangote Refinery over NNPC's which is "perceived" as Nigeria's commonwealth and run with tax payers money?

Make it make sense

Because I can't imagine someone coming online to claim he used 50 liters Dangote fuel to make 5 trips between Abuja and Lagos. Something is compelling him to make such claims.
I agree this particular claim is lamba. I suspect it's sarcasm and if it's not, it's paid PR by Dangote and not by the APC.

Then APC should stop dishing out lies to the public. Tinubu's administration cannot point out one policy that the masses are benefitting from. Just one. Go to Twitter and see the kind of propaganda going on there. If you're not living in Nigeria to know the real state of the economic situation, you might believe them and begin to think that they country is progressing. Since may 29th its been from one lie to the other. Light we don't have, yet we pay more, our roads are bad, insecurity, they added N50 charges for transactions above 10k which in turn made POS agents inceease their charges. now they're talking about increasing call tarrif. I can go on and on.
All governments engage in propaganda and dish out lies/half-truths to the public. It's not peculiar to this administration or our clime.

Again, its not APC dishing out the lies about Dangote fuel. It's Dangote PR or perhaps Obidients as someone has opined.

NELFUND is a policy that Nigerians have benefitted from and will continue to benefit from for years to come.

If you think about it dispassionately, increasing the network tarrif rates is the right call.

I do not like it because it's going to cost me more but I consider it necessary for the Telcos to be able to maintain their infrastructure, maintain their operations, attract investments and continue to be viable.

It's my right as a Nigerian to complain if things are bad because Tinubu lead a protest against Jonathan's administration and criticized him bitterly until he was voted out.
I never said you don't have the right to complain if you perceive things are bad.

Tinubu criticizing Jonathan and leading a protest and alliance of opposition parties to oust him was just "opposition politics", nothing more.

We said the same thing. You refuel twice. 2 tanks. The second refueling which you'll make in delta state would take you to your destination.

The last time I went to the east by road was in 2019. A muscle camry 2011. It was myself and 2 of my cousins making us 3 in the car. We were taking turns in driving until we arrived at our destination.
Not exactly the same thing.

From Lagos/Ibadan, a full tank takes me as far as that busy junction after the long winding and curving narrow roads that burst out into Enugu-AI Road.

If you're travelling from Lagos to the East and a full tank does not get you to Awka at least, then that vehicle fuel efficiency is ❌
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by semid4lyfe(m):
Nazgul:
It's APC propaganda aimed at marketing Mrs so that more gullible people can go there to buy.

How the hell would you travel to and fro from Abuja to Lagos 5 times on just 50 liters. When you need about 2 full tanks to take you to the east. People like this don't own cars so they just write any nonsense that comes into their head.

But on a serious note that guy needs to be flogged.
Why would APC market Dangote fuel over others, especially NNPC that the govt has a stake in? 🤔

Moreover, the Dangote fuel is being sold by two other retailers - Heyden and Ardova, which contradicts your APC doing propaganda for MRS claim.

Still, I agree it's exaggeration and lamba but do the calms and stop viewing everything with anti-APC lens

By the way, I've driven (to and fro) between Lagos/Ibadan and the furthest state in the S/East a few times, and the highest quantity of fuel I've ever used was a full tank and half.

For context, vehicle is a Big Daddy Camry V6, and the factory spec tyres have been swapped for higher tyres with better ground clearance which would negatively impact fuel mileage especially over long distances.

Does it mean no communication between the NFF and MC Oran before announcing their coach as the Super Eagles new coach.

It feels embarrassing to me.
You read the story but missed the most important part below:

There appears to be a clause in Chelle's contract that allows him to leave if offered a national team position.

It is possible that MRS takes pump integrity seriously. There are two Mrs stations in my axis and one in particular was known for having the least deviation.

Most dealers settle dpr and Co every month so have no reason to enforce pump integrity unless there is a major show show exercise.

Okada riders and Keke napep know the exact volume of their tank and so can tell who has over adjusted their pump. (there is actually an allowance for pump adjustment by dpr /nmdpra) any station that is seriously patronized by okada and keke has high levels of pump integrity
The emboldened is possible.

It could also be that the quality of dangote fuel is better than the rest hence the increase in mileage.

I'm in the East and I don't think I've ever sighted an MRS or Heyden fuel station, which are the retailers of the Dangote fuel.

Make una wey dey Lagos try buy from MRS or Heyden, and give feedback.

I'm also interested in knowing the colour of the Dangote fuel.

For me, it's even pointless for people to be wailing over the NFF choice of a foreign coach

We need to accept the reality that certain coaches are above our league, and the half-decent coaches within our price range will opt for other African countries (even with less football pedigree) with a better & more organized football administrative structure.

That's the reason a Tom Saintfient will rather sign to coach Mali ahead of us.

As fans, we owe it a duty to support our National team no matter who's in charge.

I'm hopeful Eric Chelle will do well.

He played exciting football with Mali, got some decent results and I expect he'll replicate same with the Super Eagles.

I always support and give every newly appointed Super Eagles coach a chance until they give me reasons not to (with their results).

Finidi George brought us here. 1 point from a possible 6 was just too poor

AE was a stop-gap measure, and the NFF never hid that.

I'm happy the rigmarole is over and we now have a substantive coach.

Welcome Eric Sekou Chelle.

May you succeed with the Super Eagles of Nigeria
