Oyegun is a corrupt leader....... He imposed Bello on Kogi just cos of money.

Do you have evidence of Oyegun collecting money to impose Bello.

More so, the decision of oyegun to pick bello have been upheld by the supreme court

If Ondo election is to be re- conducted as recommended! That means APC won't have aa candidate for Ondo governorship race cos deadline for submission was 21st sept and the appeal panel gave it's verdict on 19th sept.
So when will the election hold to meet up with INEC deadline.

More reasons Oyegun took that decision which won't go down with those who don't want APC to field Akeredolu as they prefer not having candidate than having aketi.

It's not when Tinubu is loosing out that we the SW should now be thinking of realigning.

As much as I did not vote PMB cos of Tinubu, I should not consider my stance cos Tinubu seems to be loosing out in the alliance.

He should not draw SW into his travail.

Did he consider SW when He went into alliance with the northern people ?

Was he warned by some Yoruba elders about this alliance.?

What response did he give to them then.

Same Yoruba including some of us clamoring now discredited afenifere, Yoruba council of elders and other yoruba social cultural groups when they warned Tinubu to ensure he does not use his influence to sell Yoruba cheaply cos he wanted power at all cost.

I remember then that same yoruba people began to cast aspersions on the elders by calling them all sorts of names cos of politics.

Now! The chips are down, the die is cast and the Tinubu's camp who called the blurf of the Yoruba elders now want to draw emotions from them and the SW to fight PMB and The north .
Nah!!!! It won't happen.

Let him face the consequence of his actions

Few months back on some social media, I was asking some salient questions like :

why did Tinubu keep mute on struggle of federalism

What happen to those agitation about state police and rightful position of the SW.

He had boast that should APC win! They will implement all these and many more.

Is it not funny that while @OP wants to impress a message to the northern people, he kept discrediting the yoruba's the more like Fayemi, fashlola, Amosun, ajimobi and others.

This to me is damaging control and another sell out cos you need to pass a message

I don't play ethnic politics but won't allow anyone to cast aspersions on the SW neither .

Tinubu does not own SW.
He is never the leader of the SW aand can't dictate our pendulum.

When he is down and done with, SW can't be down with him.

Hmmmmm!!!!

@OP

I don't think any sane Yoruba from core SW will buy those media emotional appeals from the tinubu camp.

I did predicted some days ago, that the Tinubu's camp will launch some media wars against PMB ministers to draw some emotional support while discrediting his perceived enemies.

Tinubu should note that SW does not belong to him and he can't dictate how and where our pendulum will swing.

The era of Imposition is gone.

SW wont depend on his direction to know the way forward.

Politics / Re: Jibrin Fails To Appear At Ethics Committee Hearing Of Budget Padding Allegation by senatorbayor(m): 9:40pm On Sep 23, 2016
In as much as Jubril is aa member of the house! He must subject himself to the rules and ethics of the house where he was part of the members that gave nods to committees of the house.

The ethic committee is like every other house committee just like the appropriation committee Jubril held then.

The house mandated the committee to investigate the allegations and Jubril is not greater than the house
He can't dictate for the committee on how to sit and where to sit.
Even when he held sway as committee chairman! He did not conduct his own hearings in the public.

Same jubriil was on TV then saying the budget was never padded! He blackmailed PMB for failing to sign the budget and defended dongara with his drop on all issues including his speakership position.

If he has aa personal issue with dongara, he should not make it official.
If he is not satisfied with the Outcome of the committee decision, he can take them to court .
He has done the needful by submitting evidences of padding to EFCc, police, DSS and others, these agencies are not court, he should allow them do their job if truly this govt is willing to fight corruption.
Sadly! PMB has said he NEVER signed a padded budget and this settles it all.

He is the one that raised allegations, he should equally go and defend it .

Hence, he will become social media legislator when he get suspended by the whole house including those that pushed him to fight the institution that made him.

Watch out how the APC apologist will defend him and claimed his trial was orchestrated by past administration to blackmail him.

By now! EFCC should be counting the numbers of corrupt Nigerians that have been jailed through their investigations but alas! It's the usual pattern of newspaper conviction

The type of threat I expect is for them to tell FG to equally probe those within their circles who have been linked to corruption and are shielded hence, they will be force to act otherwise in a more legal way

As an outsider I will like to ask you this and please answer in all sincerity. If indeed the delegates list were truly tampered with and there's evidence to prove that, what do you suggest should be done? Would you consider that fair to other candidates of the election and that it should be swept under the carpet? Forget Tinubu for a minute.

There should be substantial evidence to prove that the list of the delegates was tampered with.
Moreso! Those involved should be dealt with if truly it was doctored.

Note that there is no perfect process of election.
The only reason the election could be cancelled is a proof to show that those delegates alleged to have being doctored would have change the outcome of the election to make it substantial enough.

Evidence must abound that those who were smuggled as delegates did vote for a particular candidates.

What if the doctored delegates did vote for the man who raise complain to the panel.?

I doubt if there will be evidence to show that any doctored delegates votes could be traced to any of the contestant since its secret ballot voting except the delegate want to implicate himself as getting involve in malpractices and that could earn him or her a jail for criminal offence
Despite evidences of malpractices! If such is not substantial to decide the outcome of an election, such election still stand and could pass for being fair in the eyes of the law.

In politics, we only have permanent interest.
If a tinubu could support GEJ in 2011 and later kicked against him in 2015 shows these politicians need one another to protect their interest.

The idea of reaching out to every party leaders and candidates after the election is a norm in politics.
The choice is left for Tinubu to accept the overtures and give his own conditions for support or reject it.
That does not mean Aketi won't win or loose with or without Tinubu.
2012 have proved that with Tinubu, he dd not win, let him reach out to the people of Ondo who are the determinant of his ambition.
The idea of making a tin god out of a single man should be condemn in totality.
Every candidate could reach out to party leaders for supports but should never make such leaders a sole determinant of his or her political career.

Elections are won using structures and finances everywhere in the world. Tinubu has both.

Well greased structures that are waiting to be activated media guys, social media people just waiting for instructions and money to spend on campaign materials for media etc

Akeredolu does not have these. It is also what differentiates those times Buhari lost to when he lost to when he won.

Same reason why a relatively unknown Ambode won Jimi Agbaje.
Reason why Fashola won Obanikoro
Reason why Ribadu lost Adamawa
Etc.

How come Tinubu can't use same structure and finances to ensure victory for his candidate (Segun Abraham)

Note that in politics! What Aketi is doing to reach out to all leaders of APC is normal and even if Tinubu refused, same people who finance Aketi will eventually bankroll his election.
It's normal to make overtures to even your political enemies.

Religion / Recession: Don’t Put Yourself In Debt, Sallah Ram Is Not Obligatory – Scholar Wa by senatorbayor(m): 11:27am On Sep 11, 2016
In view of the economic situation in the country, Muslims in Nigeria have been reminded that the slaughter of livestock especially, rams during Islamic festivity of Eid-Adha is not compulsory according to Islamic injunctions.

An Islamic Scholar, Imam Abdulhameed Shuaib Agaka told Economic Confidential that the sacrificial ram for Sallah celebration is permissible but not obligatory compared to the five pillars of Islam.

He said: “Considering the current economic situation, Muslims should prioritize their need and ensure they provide basic necessities for the family, especially accommodation, feeding, medication, education and mobility.

“It is after meeting the basic essentials that surplus income could be utilise for Sallah ram and other celebrations.”

Quoting from the Holy Quran, Dr. Agaka said: “La yukallifullahu nafsan illa wus’aha- which means Almighty Allah does not place burden on a person beyond his ability in any situation.”

The Muslim Cleric added that “the ceremony is symbolic in exemplifying the absolute submission of Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail to the will of God.”

“The essence therefore is to be obedient to Almighty God, live peaceful with our neighbours including those that we don’t share the same tribe, culture or religion and pray for our nations.”

He said for those that can afford Sallah rams, they must follow the principle of Zakat. He said the ram should be shared into three parts.

“The first part is meant for the family, second part should be given as Zakat (gift) to the neighbours including Non-Muslims and Muslims that could not afford it and the last part for the less privilege in the society,” he concluded.

Politics / Edo 2016: Our Smart Card Reader Stolen – INEC Laments by senatorbayor(m): 11:20am On Sep 11, 2016
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Edo State yesterday disclosed that its smart card reader in Akoko- Edo local government area has been stolen.
The claim was part of a statement released by the Administrative Secretary of the Commission on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Sam Olumekun and made available to newsmen in Benin, the state capital.

It noted that the smart card reader was stolen during the training of presiding officers and assistant presiding Officers.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission, has observed the ploy to tarnish the good image of the good people of Akoko-Edo local government area especially the inhabitants of Igarra.

“It is a challenge for the people of Akoko-Edo to fish out the Impostor who during the training of presiding Officers and Assistant presiding Officers made away with the training smart card reader, which has not been configured for election.

“However, the Security Operatives are on the trail of the Impostor, and his co-horts.

“INEC is using this medium to send a warning signal to all those who may be planning to disrupt the commission’s processes on Election day to have a re- think, because the law enforcement agents will descend on them.”

This is another scam from the APC led govt.

If the presidency still keeps all the presidential jets but tell you and I to be prudent! That's what?

If the Presidency and the cabinets break trafic rules citing VIP and want you and I to be discipline by obeying traffic rules.

If those in Govt live a large life and embrace foreign products! Patronised foreign goods and go for medicals abroad with the tax payers money but want you and I to patronised local products! Then what do you call that !

If same people who preach change of attitude are harbingers of corruption and wine and dine with corrupt elements! Then the change must begin with them.

If the crooner of change still use public funds to finance their elections, lie to electorates on what they cant do by promising to do it just to get our votes and getting involve in malpractices and manipulation of process to get their selfish interest, then they need the change to begin from them.

If the same people denied their own campaign promises and keep lying just becos of their inefficiencies, then the change must begin with them.

If same people can't be trusted Cos of their acts as leaders , then they need serious change of attitude.

change must begin with them cos they promised change and we did not promised them change

We borrowed the western culture of dressing and grooming for white collar vocation. Civil servants are white collar workers because most times they sit behind a desk.

I think Tinubu just outsmarted his opponents in Ondo.

Abraham was a decoy.
For those who think otherwise, just keep observing. Sooner or later, it will become clearer.

Just wondering why Abraham would not show up till late, giving Aketi all the chance in the world to woo other contestants delegates right at the primary floor. Abarahm showed up at the venue after Aketi had garnered all the needed delegates to win. Abraham was also first to concede victory to Aketi while Oke and Borofice are still complaining. U really believe Tinubu/Abaraham mumu like that?

Where did Aketi get his financing?

Even Tinubu sef no complain about the apparent change of delegates names at the last minute.

He has not hidden his support for Abraham up till date and Akeredolu was never his candidate.

Tinubu can't be timid too start hiding where his supports base sticks.

The contest was so close between Abraham and Akeredolu with a diff of 34.

Again, this bill is in draft and is being worked on by the vice president who is the leader of the economic team and not the president, so why all this mindless attacks on the person of the president?

I think most of those against the contents of the bill are simply against it either because they didnt read it or they read but didnt understand what they read.

I say this because those opposing the bill havent raised a point from the bill and give reasons as to why they disagree. All they've been saying has been about Buhari's past and all other BS.

Nairaland / General / Solutions To The Conflicting Orders Of Court by senatorbayor(m): 2:51pm On Aug 17, 2016
The recent issues of the PDP chairmanship stool where 2 courts of codinate jurisdiction gave 2 conflicting orders thereby thwarting the much publicise convention in PH today is worrisome

I feel the way out of this mess or poo of conflicting judgements are .

Determination of jurisdiction
: Before courts should grant to hear any case, they should first of all determine their jurisdictions as regards that case If not, then the parties should have recourse to the state high court where the cause of action arose or where the defendant resides.

sharing of court orders through weekly publication This is another area where courts can avoid conflicting orders . I remember the days of Gani fawehinmi , there were publications of courts judgements weekly .
These avails every court the privileges to get afore info on the judgements or orders from superior courts or coordinate jurisdiction .
The judges are not wizards or witches to know which judgement have being passed in time pass and they cant be reading such on pages of newspapers as well

prove of court orders or injunction by defendants or prosecutors
The onus of proof lies with the defendants to prove that the case to be heard by a co-odinate jurisdiction have being decided by same court of co-odinate jurisdiction b y bringing same to his attention   since  a high court is bound to follow decisions of the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, being superior courts. It is, however, not bound to follow a decision of a court that has co-ordinate jurisdiction .

If the court proceed to hear the case after the proof, , then the judge would have acted improperly and should be sanctioned appropriately but in the case of PDP, I am yet to read where such actually happened for the judges to decline hearing .
I am aware that during Saraki issue, his case was kicked out by Justice Abdulkadiri kafarati of the FHC in Abuja when The FG lawyer prove that such case have being heard by another FHC in lagos .

www.herald.ng/sarakis-case-abuse-court-process-says-judge

sanctions should be given to lawyers and members of the bench

There should be a disciplinary actions to anyone who aid and abet abuse of court process , The NJC should rise up to the challenges and ensure that the system is sanities of any judges who have abuse the system and work hand in hand with the politicians to destroy the temple of justice
The lawyers both from the prosecution and defendants have being culprits of these shameless act not absolving the willing judges as well who wants cases to be decided in his temple to boost his CV. The Chief Judge of the FHC should ensure fairness in assigning case and look out for any judge who loves to entertain a particular case from a particular set of people .

Its also funny that FG knows which court to go if they want a particular sets of judgements or order and will frustrate every efforts to appear before another sets of judges cos they find them not friendly in judgement

The case of Dasuki comes to play

protections of the judiciary members
You will all agree that the judiciary have come under attacks that are unwarranted most times due to their judgment which some elements find not favorable.
The politicians and the executives have use this tools to intimidate some judges and a situation where the  promotions of these judges are being influenced by them speaks volume

How come we have executive IMUNITY
but not even the CJN got any immunity let alone the president of the court of appeal nor the chief judge of the FHC .
yet, Governors and President got while the SP and Speaker are working out theirs .
I believe if this is looked into, The idea of judges getting intimidated wont arise and they will be able to dispense judgement without fear or favor .

It was in this country that A governor in the SS region locked the court cos he felt the judge in the state wont do his bid despite outcry and directive  from the NBA,NJC
This shows the greater influence of the executive on the judiciary and this is worrisome .

Personally , I am not too comfortable with happenings in our political system and the arms of govt, we need to sanitize the system and build a workable institution .

The legislature should make laws for the interest of the state and the people

The Executive should execute orders and laws and obey every judgement irrespective of their disposition towards it through the AGF and all its agencies

The Judiciary should live up to its names ( Hope of the common man) by dispensing judgments in fairness and truth

Nairaland / General / Why We Should Stop The Blame Game And Excuses For The Govt And Move Forward by senatorbayor(m): 7:09pm On Aug 16, 2016
I feel we should have got over this buck passing and blame games with excuses for this govt .
I was part of those who worked for the emergence of this govt and I have all the campaign promises in print and media which the APC used as a campaign to tell Nigerians what they will do and how they will go about it.

I have all the words of lai Muhammed , PMB, Tinubu and other notable members of the party in video as well where they told Nigerians their plans and even boasted that no amount of dilapidated economy is above their solutions

During the electioneering period, I still remember that Soludo gave out indices of impending issues pertaining to oil drop , economy and others and fayemi gave a beautiful analysis of how it will be resolve and even boasted that even if it crashed to zero! It won't affect govt performance

I even remember how sanusi lamido gave a gory account of the rot in the system during his travails and APC said they will revive it when they get to power

I also remember when metuh told Lai muhammed that the country resources can't support the bogus campaign promises of APC! Lai said it's becos PDP are bereft of ideas on how to think inward that they will surprise them with the programe especially the feeding of school children and 5k for the jobless youths as soon as they win election

Till date, APC controls the media but sadly, There is no good news to propagate and Nigerians are tired of same old stories of blames .

The foundation of APC and the in fighting brought us to this mess and aggravate the already dilapidating economy .

The Party lost focus and focus more on power tussle within their ranks while they engage the media with attempt to tag past administration in order to engage us while the economy was on a free fall.

Till date, The Govt does not have economy policies and its fiscal and monetary policies have being on trial and error .
We know PDP and GEJ were bad and we are aware of the rot in the system despite that it wasn't as bad as we have now , hence APC and PMB should stop reminding us of what we know, rather they should tell us what they have done to right the wrong of the past .
