idealogical:
In America the land of democracy, the majority picks the Senate leader, but in Nigeria, it's the other way around.

This shameless imbecille is just talking trash. Saraki will vacate that seat willingly, its just a matter of time.

Same is applicable here
The majority leader is Hamed lawal from APC while the minority leader is Godswill Akpabio and they are picked based on the numerical strength of the party in the house and such choice is left for the caucus of tye party to decide
The senate president is decided by all members of the house and they choose who lead them ..
That's what the house rules say ..
When Tambuwal defected , APC then quoted this same rules to protect Tambuwal and such should not be an issue now that saraki has defected ...
Politics / Re: APC Queries Saraki .. threatens sanctions in 48 Hours!! by senatorbayor(m): 4:20am On Aug 01, 2018
This is a shameless party

So you query someone you accused of not being your member

Thought they ain't losing sleep over these defections
How come saraki defections and others is causing embarrassment to APC as a party when you already said whoever wants to go should go

How is their leaving now an issue

Thought they said they ain't making efforts to address the greaviances, why telling lies when all efforts failed

This is a pointer to the enujawaya chairman oshiomole who boast in the day and beg in the night ...

Since they claim these guys don't have values , why cry over them again

Indeed , saraki is ahead of all the best heads in APC

They are pained that he acted before they think of next actions

Politics / We Won’t Donate Land For Ranching — S’east Govs by senatorbayor(m): 2:39am On Jul 09, 2018
Governors of the South-East states rose from a meeting in Enugu on Sunday evening with a decision that no land would be made available for the establishment of cattle ranches in the zone.

The meeting, which held at the Enugu State Government House, had the governors of Enugu (Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi), Ebonyi (Dave Umahi) in attendance, while Abia and Anambra were represented by the deputy governors.

ImoState Governor, Rochas Okorocha, was absent and was not represented by his deputy.

The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, presented the association’s ‘template on restructuring’ to the governors at the meeting, which ended late on Sunday evening.

Addressing journalists after the parley, the Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum, Umahi, disclosed that the governors had agreed that ranching would not be allowed in the zone.

Umahi explained that the reports that some South-East states had made land available for the establishment of ranches, based on a request by the Federal Government, were not true.

The Ebonyi State Governor stressed that while the Federal Government had not asked for any land for ranches, the governors would not accede to such a request, should it be made.

“No land in the South-East has been donated for ranching. We have not donated any land; we have not been asked to donate and we are not going to donate.

“Ranching is not approved by the South-East governors in the South-East,” Umahi declared.

The governors, in the same vein, condemned the recent killings in Plateau State, and demanded “justice for Plateau people.”

The governors, however, raised the alarm over what they described as challenges posed by the movement of herdsmen in the South-East.

They agreed to meet with heads of federal security agencies over the development.

Nairaland / General / Lagos APC Rejects Extension Of Oyegun’s Tenure by senatorbayor(m): 5:39am On Mar 07, 2018
The Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has kicked against the elongation of the tenure of the party’s national and state executives, saying it is against the constitution of the party.
Rising from a consultative forum held at state house Marina, Lagos and attended by party elders from across the state, the leaders said the extension of the tenure of John Oyegun, chairman of the party, and his executives by one year is also against Nigeria’s constitution.
“Section 223 of the 1999 constitution as amended provides for periodical election on a democratic basis for principal officers and members of the executive committee of political parties,” the party said in a statement.
“According to the constitution, election of the officers or members of the executive committee of a political party will be deemed to be periodical if done at regular intervals not exceeding four years.
“Article 17 of the party’s constitution also provides for a four-year tenure for its national and state executives, which is renewable for another four years.”
Tajudeen Olusi, leader of the party in Lagos central senatorial district, later addressed reporters.
We have taken reports of the state APC chairman in respect of the NEC meeting held in Abuja. We have also had the privilege of receiving great reports from our leader from the reconciliation committee,” he said.
“We have considered the issue of extension of tenure and we are of the firm belief that the decision is a breach of the constitution of our party and of the country. We are against the elongation of tenure. We shall continue to make our decision known to the party and to the president.
“In extending the tenure, the APC National Executive Committee had relied on Article 13.3 (ii) of its constitution which states that The NEC can discharge the functions of the convention in a period of emergency.
Article 13.3 (ii) of APC Constitution specifically states that the NEC of the party is empowered to;
“Discharge all functions of the National Conventions as constituted in between Conventions”.
“But the provision in Article 13.3 (ii) is not limitless and open-ended. It is a responsibility restricted by the same constitution, which provides exclusively under Article 30 (i) that: “This Constitution and Schedules hereto can be amended only by the National Convention of the Party.”

Half of the trash you typed above are incorrect
The other half are lies!

SR did not shift any goal post. How can a person with only 3 credits gain admission into abu?? How can someone with a third class claim to be enrolled in masters degree programme?? How can someone claim to have finished nysc on july 8, 2001 (a sunday) while his call up letter is bearing 1999

Nigerians are not fools.
Dino is a fraud!

You sound pained in your analysis
You should have displayed your own true position rather than shifting goal post like SR.
If you have choose to have limitation in reasoning, its a matter of choice.

Firstly , you guys and SR said until the school authority make a pronouncement, you won't take Dino position.
Ditto, the vc said Dino was a graduate of ABU.
Typical of an adamant troll, you shifted to his nysc cert.

Same SR told us BA geography was not offered in ABU then , yet they are brandishing a graduation bronchure that carried BA geography to authenticate thier stands that Dino did not graduate.

If Dino claimed he is running a master degree program with his 3rd class, have you found out if he did PGD.has the school come out to deny that he is not running the program.

As regards gaining admissions with 3 credit, this shows how you understand the admission process in our institutions.
Have you not seen students who gain admission with awaiting or low results just becos they got referrals from those in authority. They only give conditions that such student should provide thier complete result before graduation.
How do the students of higher institutions gain admissions while sitting as external candidates to correct thier result deficiencies.

As regards his nysc discharg ecertificate , you don't have to be fussed over it. Take it up from there and visit the nysc office to inquire if what Dino presented is fake or not.
After All, someone took buhari to court on his certificate having observed some anomalies.
Politics / My Final Take On Dino Certificate Stuff : A No Case For Him by senatorbayor(m): 3:34pm On Mar 28, 2017

I knew how I got tired trying to redirect the gullibility of some youths online on this Dino issue. The more they spill gibberish about his case, the more they displayed thier folly.

They allowed the SR guys who knew that Dino actually graduated to make a fool of themselves.
Forgetting that these guys are friends from thier nans days but something went awry and more so, they need to drive traffic to thier site since melaye is a big fish .
They are operating internet journalism and get more funds from traffic.

How come sowore keep shifting goal post from Dino did not graduate to he did not have good grades, then they shifted to he did not serve, later they said his name was not on allumni website to his name not on bronchure of those who graduated, later they claimed his cert has BA as against BSC

Shamefully , SR displayed the said brochure of ABU were they spotted Dino name missing and the bronchure carried B.A in geography , same BA they claimed was not existing in ABU.

They even affirmed that until his VC speaks, they won't back down, now the vc spoke, they shifted to another baseless talk that the vc has compromised

They knew if they go to NYSC to comfirm Dino name, it will be glaring to them. Hence they have avoided that angle .

Dino may not be the good guy some of us want him to be, his ways may not fit our discriptions but certainly, we need more of senators like him to keep the frictions btw the executives and legislative arm going.
This will ensure we don't have a rubber stamp Senate under the armpit of the executive.

We need serious checks and scrutiny btw both arms .
Let them put each other on hot toes while exposing their inner deals to unruffle each other

Someone wrote that Dino and his cohorts hate us for slowing down the pace of governance with thier legislative functions .
I reply him by saying

How will he hate you and I when he was the one that exposed SGF the grasscutter
How did he hate us when he was the one who exposes MTN shady deals and how they reaped Nigerians of millions of dollars.
How did he hate you when he was the one who made Nigerians knew how buhari chief of staff Abba kyari collected money from MTN to helped them wave off thier fines.
How did he hate you and I when he called the Senate attention to the DSS report indicting magu.
How well can you say he hate us when he ensured he exposes any attempt by the executive to plant thier rubber stamp as Senate president so that we can have a Senate under the armpit of the executive.

How then can you describe such hatred when he has said efcc should probe him if They doubt his source of wealth
How can you say he hate us when he was the same person who exposes dimeji bankole, the erstwhile speaker of embezzling billions . Such act made him to be suspended but he later won the case in court .

How can he hate us when he is one of the few young Nigerian politicians who challenged the defacto godfather of Lagos and his wife.
He dymistified godfatherism and send it to abyss

You may not like his approach to issues but you cant deny he is a factor in the Nigerian politics
He may have his weakness as human just like you and I. But its certain that he has moved more bills and made more contributions in the NASS than others who love you but kept sleeping while motions are been moved or debated.

He has proved his youthfulness and show that you can achieve your dream without the glorified certificate that some poeple keep bragging with no achievements

Same Dino has displayed his nysc discharge certificate .
His vc has affirmed he actually graduated thus laying matters to rest while those not satisfy should approach the court to prove him wrong.

Funny that those who are asking about dino cert are even in same or worst shoes .
3 colleague of mine who have been crucifying dino on his cert were cut in the web today when i asked them if they have collected thier school original cert including WAEC as against the notice of result and testimonial cum statements of result they presented for employment
It was then dawn on them that they need to go and get it after many years of graduation.
One even told me it did not occur to him to collect since he has NYSC cert , more so the company had done verifications of his cert.

A lot of us here do not even know how our school graduating brochure looked like let alone having knowledge if our names was included.

How many of us even attended our convocation ceremony after graduation.
Dino cert is an eye opener to many who are even castigating him and asking questions they ought to ask themselves.

How many of us have our names on our school alumnus website
When last have we done self scrutiny on our records, documents to see if our names, DOB and other details were well stated.
Have we not allowed lackadaisical attitude make us shove those discrepancies away .
What about diff initials on our records and documents, have we taken out time to correct them with sworn affidavits.

It's Dino today, its an opportunity for others to tie the loose nuts of thier certificates and check details written on them before aspiring for any selective or elective positions
What played out btw Dino and sowore are strategies for distractions .

They are meant to swayed you even if the truth is known by the detractors .

Culture / The Dos And Donts At The Oba Of Benin Palace For Visitors by senatorbayor(m): 12:07pm On Oct 20, 2016
Dos and don’ts at the Oba’s palace
Oba of Benin

The over 900 years old palace of the Oba of Benin is located in the heart of Benin, the Edo State capital. It is adjacent to the Airport Road. The palace attracts thousands of visitors yearly even though the visitors are restricted to certain areas. The chiefs in the palace know the various societies they belong to and their functions. Only the Oba understands the language of the palace societies.

Visitors are forbidden to do certain things in the palace, such as taking sand from the palace. The duties of some chiefs are to ensure that nobody enters the palace to take sand. Stories abound of what happened to people who attempted to take sand from the palace.

There are some places in the palace where women are not allowed to urinate. A story is told of how an expectant mother security officer almost died for urinating indiscriminately. She was said to have vomited until sacrifices were made to atone for her “sin”.

Pointing of fingers

It is forbidden to point fingers at either the Oba or his chiefs in the palace. It is said that the Oba does not point fingers at anyone as well, except in a bid to bless or curse an individual.

Whistling

The Bini ethnic nationality believe that whistling is a communication medium between mortals and spirits as well as the dead. There are several deities within the Oba’s palace and the belief is that no one is sure of which deity is roused during whistling.

Open umbrella during festivals

Only the Oba is allowed to be covered with an umbrella during festivities or when he is going out. All guests, chiefs and visitors are to bear any harsh weather.

Wearing black clothes

Anybody wearing black is not allowed to enter the Oba’s palace. Such a person is sent away because such attires indicate mourning in many cultures. Palace sources say it is a taboo for the Oba to mourn, no matter the circumstance. He is not allowed to see black clothes.

Women not allowed at Ehengbuda Shrine

Women are not allowed to go near the Ehengbuda Shrine. Historians say Oba Ehemugba was born a haemophrodyte and that after powerful witch doctors worked on him, the female parts were removed. He was later paraded naked around the community. Any female – girl or woman – who enters the area immediately becomes infertile. To avoid barrenness among Benin girls and women, a ban is placed on females from entering the shrine’s vicinity.

Male visitors not allowed into royal harem

Male visitors are not allowed to enter the royal harem where the Oba’s wives stay. Male relatives of the Oba’s wives are also disallowed from entering or extending hands for greetings.

Carrying Banga (palm oil fruits) around the palace

It is a taboo to carry palm oil fruits on the head in or around the palace. Even vehicles carrying palm oil fruits are not allowed to pass through the streets near the Oba’s palace. The presence of palm oil fruits around the palace is said to be an indication that the land wants blood.

Dogs not allowed within the palace

Any dog that strays with the palace vicinity is killed or dies naturally.

Politics / Business Model Analysis Of The Politics Between APC And PDP by senatorbayor(m): 5:19pm On Oct 19, 2016
ABC= PDP
EFG = APC.
XYZ= Nigerians and Nigeria

If company ABC (PDP) has being handling a project for XYZ (NIGERIA) for a long time and company EFG (APC) approach XYZ for a chance to handle the same project

During the project defense, EFG in a bid to convince XYZ made it known that ABC is a bad company who involves in corruption, cutting corners and using inferior materials to do its job, its members are bad managers of resources and don't mean well for their client.

EFG even said ABC can’t be trusted with funds cos of their traits and track record which is prevalent on any one who works for them.
Likewise, ABC also said EFG as a company with its staff and directors are corrupt and thieves and does not have experience to handle such projects for XYZ , they claim EFG does not have the skilled personnel and tools with latest and modern equipment to bring up a viable project .
Accusation and counter accusations rented the defense room and XYZ needs to make decision on the next project assignment which happens every four years

With all the above scathing statements and many damning one from both parties . XYZ put the decision to vote and the stakeholders and shareholders went into voting and the majority went for EFG cos they were convinced .
They sighted their reasons to be:

EFG have convinced them that all staff and directors of ABC are corrupt and have being reaping XYZ for so long, that EFG have the required and capable hands to turn things around within possible shortest period.

Now, here comes the posers.
1. Will it be morally right for EFG to engage the services of directors and key members of ABC whom they have accused of being corrupt and are bad managers.

2. How will XYZ view EFG after seeing that virtually all the staff and directors of ABC were his crew members who are given key position to handle after tagging ABC Company and its staff/ directors most corrupt and bad managers?

3. Won’t XYZ now conclude that EFG only got the contract by bad mouthing ABC since EFG can comfortably work with the directors and staff of ABC to execute the project?

4. Can we say there is any difference between ABC and EFG in the composition of their membership again since about 75% of directors and staff of ABC are now in the management team of EFG?

5. Will XYZ take EFG words serious as regards destruction of ABC again when next they want to defend another project?

6. wont it be wise to engage both parties on merit and not on destruction of each other cos it would have being dawn on XYZ that both ABC and EFG are only playing politics of Bring him down syndrome since they can still share membership conveniently .

6. Will it be wise to say they are just doing normal business of politics to outdo each other in a bid to get the contract?

7. Who among the 2 parties would you pick as having the means to execute the project considering the membership composition?

As a business and strategic analyst, how will you describe the relationship between ABC and EFG?

8. Do you think EFG will get things done differently from same way ABC have done it considering the fact that key strategic positions have being handed to staff and directors of ABC by EFG .

9. Do you think the team lead matter most as compare to the team members or both matters in a project assignment for this task ?

Your holistic analysis as a business strategist is welcome to help the management of XYZ prepare on how to take the best decision on the next project assignment.
The above analysis is the best way I can describe both APC and PDP
I will be coming up with Merger and acquisition business model to describe APC formation as well.

Politics / Re: APC Crises: Humiliating Tinubu Is Dishonouring Entire Yoruba Race – Fayose by senatorbayor(m): 4:39pm On Oct 07, 2016
drss:
beta for a pipul to insult demselves dan an outsider to insult dem.

Dont you think if we insult each other, we are opening a space for an outsider to equally insult us.

Its the way you project your people that the outsider will help you carry it.

Charity must begin at home

If this is coming from Fayose that if Tinubu is humiliated, its a slap on SW.
Then He also needs to apologies to OBJ for insulting him as well since that is also a slap on the SW as well .
Except Fayose want us to believe that only SW can insult each other
